his main issue (aside from aim) is cooldown management, he doesnt manage his rein shield, any of his winston cooldowns, bubbles or matrix at all. his aggression on rein is good for the most part though
He's placed correctly, imho. I can't tell you much of what they did right. They took decent positions as a rein. If you have played for a few weeks, then u probably know where to place your shield. Some of his firestrikes were decent. His teammates were good enough to carry on damage. Otherwise, he'd be getting wrecked. I do just about everything better than him. I'm gold, so I know he's nowhere near that. He's bad enough at every tank hero that he should just focus on getting one tank hero better. FYI it did take me a long time to get out of bronze so he should just grind like I had to instead of the entitled route.
@@DyingBreed8 nah there’s so much wrong i mean he’s bronze but his shield management and his ability to take and keep space without dying is next to nothing again i get he’s bronze but there’s so much wrong with his gameplay
I really enjoy these videos. What ALWAYS surprises me is how good the bronze players are (even in bronze vs. masters, etc). I'm gold/plat and don't see a WHOLE lot of difference from bronze to gold in aim, working together, etc.. In some cases they work together even better and that may be that their skill is lower but they WANT to be better, whereas you get to gold/plat and folks feel they are better than they are, so there is a lot more venturing out on your own and not working with the team. Keep up the great vids!
I mean, the biggest difference is usually consistency too. But aim is generally not that great and game sense is not that great either. But you also have to understand that the game evolved a lot since the earlier days, meaning that a bronze now, would've been like a plat-diamond in the first few seasons of overwatch 1. If you see a master player now, he would be one of the top tier guys in early overwatch. Generally, bronze players lack the basic knowledge of many aspects of the game. I've seen people who didn't even know what certain heroes did, like Mercy having a pistol for example, and Zarya having her beam charged by the bubbles taking damage etc. It might seem stupid but I've seen people getting surprised saying "ooooh that's what it is then"
My thoughts exactly. I'd also add that melee decision making isn't that great. That goes hand in hand with shield management. Too many times on Kings Row where their Zarya was in between him and his supports. The shield had 0 value while his melee would've had much much more.
@@BeakerSteve Agree. He deploys shield pointlessly most of time and spending charging just for the sake of it. His agressiveness seems so "YOLO" rather strategic one.
That sigma play was really good, only thing I’d say is that if he worked on that shield management and tried not to let it sit with no use he could live longer
About breaking lamp: it doesn't actually last that long. I don't think the tank should break the lamp. The tank should be pressuring the people inside the lamp to keep their hp low so they can be finished off when either the lamp goes down or literally anyone else shoots it. If you're playing Winston you can easily do both. I find if I stop attacking the people inside the lamp in order to kill the lamp, that is enough for the people inside to get back to like half or even full hp.
I think his main issue is shield management, eg he can just round the corner and use natural cover instead of his shield. I think this may come from the bronze misconception that the tank's job is to just hold up shield. (And many will flame you if you don't, but they don't know what they're talking about, half the time they don't even use it and die because of terrible positioning.)
I apparently play a different OW2 than most pros because they always assume bronze and silver players should be higher ranked because they're capable of the simplest things, they'll say stuff like "Yeah you won't get punished for x thing in this rank" "I wouldn't expect to see someone below plat do this thing" and it's always stuff that I do or if I was even half as careless as them I die twice as fast. I'll see people do things that I'm like "how, HOW could they possibly survive there?" and I just wish I could be in those games
As a masters rein 1 trick (i play almost exclusively rein), this is actually painful to watch. King's Row is undoubtedly rein's strongest map and there is a LOT of obvious and not obvious mistakes in his gameplay. I personally have a very high win rate on the map in masters and have diffed quite a few gm/top 500's before due to rein's inherit strengths on this map. Literally some mistake can be fixed instantly as a lot of rein's strength comes from in game decision making. If he knew what to do, even with really poor mechanics (bad shatters/fire strikes etc.) he would've easily hard carried this game. Watching him play makes soul leave my body.
if console players are not used to play with mouse and keyboard that would be rough for the T500 players. Unless they all play with controller. then again maybe the pc players have no idea how to play with a controller. so it would be a 50/50 i think
Yea expecting teammates to break lamp when you get kitsune and knocked forward around a corner and you go into their back line and enemy has amp matrix behind you so your teammates can’t peek that well to follow up is definitely the highest example of lack of game awareness not just being aware of his own team but enemy team as well.

@@jeremypcleung yah, maybe zen isn’t the pick, and funnily enough Moira is an occasional swap I have a high winrate with, the only one that matches my zen
This doesn't look like bronze, silver or gold, getting healed, dps standing behind the shield, never seen this for a long time. My games are full of boss-eyed 8 year olds thinking they are playing COD, running out into the open and getting killed as fast as they possibly can.
I maybe put 2 hours into overwatch 1. Can someone explain to me how you could have played overwatch 1 and be in bronze with overwatch 2? I was placed into silver 2 and I’m currently gold2 after playing for 2 months off and on. I have experience with other competitive games but does it make that big of a difference? Overwatch is pretty different from most others. Serious question not trying to be mean to this dude. Just an inexperienced overwatch player question.
Could be a number of reasons. There was a bronze 5 glitch first of all. Another note is that your mmr carries over to overwatch 2 I believe. Then the reset they just had of rank could have ranked them back down to bronze if they did rank up [reset just happened last week]. Maybe they Solo queue and don't communicate is another reason because not all roles are easy to solo carry. Internet connection, bad computer performance.
I think maybe there was a series of lucky plays at the beginning but this guy was looking like a Plat rein in a couple ways. Shield management is definitely not Plat and his firestrikes are very bronze. There's an aggressiveness that you just don't see in lower ranks here though. He is making space for his team in good ways, he could just be doing it better.
He's probably hard stuck bronze 5 for being overly aggressive as tank and a walking damage sponge and the bronze healers struggle to keep him up. Cos you know. Bronze
This was hard to watch 😂. He kept going solo into the enemy team and idk how his teammates didn’t yell at him. The only reason he did decent was bc his supports and dps carried him. He’s still got more to learn but it’s definitely gonna take time.
I mean you pointed out his damage difference but failed to note that he mitigated 25k damage, thats huge. Guy definitely wasn't a great winston or zarya but I think he deserves Silver. He is not Bronze 5.
I made with within 15 points of being plat and then had a 17 game loss streak, at least 9 of those games I lost had leavers. I quit playing ranked after that but am considering getting back to it.
u mean in broken matchmaking lobby? this is pointless since we both know we have real MMR system and FAKE rank system, even the devs stated that the real rank is MMR and not the ones we see on the screen.

I mean yea, he still should be in bronze tbh. Sucks cuz he seems like a nice guy, but he just needs to learn and play the game more
I swear I’m stuck in silver but I am Diamond level.
u mean in broken matchmaking lobby? this is pointless since we both know we have real MMR system and FAKE rank system, even the devs stated that the real rank is MMR and not the ones we see on the screen.
an agro Rien. with a team behind him. Yes he will be more agro. In solo que as rien he/me will be more passive. (Gold/Plat) This Rien fits the mold. SO far from Bronze.
how do i do this
How can we get on one of these videos lol
I dont want to be mean but I see many bronze things he does here and he have to practice alot of hours like 50+ to get better as tank. But he gave his best I show him respect that he come to the decision go in a round againgst gold player spectated by jay
Here I what I learned in overwatch 2,,, never ever play solo with randoms in your team because they will just get destroyed in 75% in your games,,,,now to get higher ranks,, you MUST get 4 high rank sweaty players in your team and I do say MUST, without a sweaty team , your rank is going nowhere
If you shake your hammer like left and right you’ll get more range to hit them
