- Cessna 177B Cardinal II C-GWVP is seen on the approach and landing at CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. This great general aviation aircraft looks great in this red and white livery, really suiting the cardinal name.
Nice smooth arrival. Great shot
Like the previous Aero Commander 690 that visits Nelson CZNL so often, this Cardinal 177 is a Machine that can pass for Fine Art. And the flight dynamics seemed to match, with a stunning approach & landing; looks like they repaved part of the runway.

Hey Javier, sorry for the late reply! Yes, this 177 is a beauty. And it was recently acquired by the Nelson Pilots Association, so I'm looking forward to seeing it lots in the future. Good eye with the repave as well, they did a much needed repair on some of the bigger dips and bumps in the runway.

Jesse my good friend, nice video, sharp livery, i think you have filmed this plane before, not sure as i don't keep track of the regestration # 's, he must have paid to land, he used all the runway, lol, might be time to check the ground brakes, lol, but he did come in a little hot, maybe a strong tailwind. I heard the crows in the background & i hunt/ fish a lot & they drive me nuts, lol.
Thanks Steve! Yes, you're correct. I've filmed this one a few times in the past. Alway a fun little aircraft to see. Yup, there were lots of crows and geese hanging around the airport while I filmed this one, they can be a bit hazardous for the planes at times! Thanks for watching my friend!

The 172 Racer!! Just when Cessna got the 177 right, they shut down production. Love the bird. You will never see me in the Corvalis... something about flying a plane named after a male enhancement drug. So much for swoopy looking Cessnas.
