    * Size 12 Firehole 316 hook
    * Pink thread (I used UTC Ultra Thread 140 denier in this video but prefer 70)
    * Medium Ultra Wire

    Using all the colors of yarn I have ordered from your yarn website, I watch all three of your websites on you tube. Going out and throw some new flies on my tenkara rods now. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, thanks very very much!

    This nymph is also very successful with brown trouts and graylings in Austria!
    Best wishes from a Tenkara Fisherman from Upper Austria!

    I've modified this fly by adding a forward facing pheasant hackle and sometimes add a red beadhead to it. Been an excellent fly over the years. Well tied!

    Nice Video! I learned about Utah Killer Bug some ten years ago. Before that I was fishing a lot with standard Killer Bug tied with red copperwire. Giving the fly a little red butt and when wet a reddish color on the Chadwick477.
    Frank Sawyer was using a red/brown copperwire but I think red has been good here in Sweden and Scandinavia.
    But Shetland Spindrift Oyster is also fishing nice with red copperwire or tying thread head

    This Fly further proves how over complicated many fly fisherman make fly fishing. Fish are not complicated, and this fly works!

    Very nice tie - I especially like that fluorescent pink thread!

    New to the whole cover crop concept. Do you cover this with anything after breaking it down? I've seen some cover the green crop with brown leaves.

    You don’t happen to sell (or are going to start) replacement Lillian cord? I’d rather support a small business than a big retailer.

    Do your hands shake because you're nervous? or just always? Mine just shake always, they stopped for a few years, but since I started fly fishing and tying they have started again =(

    Sweet! You have another variation of it with a hackle right?

    What's the difference between using yarn vs. using dubbing in the same color? It looks the same but I don't know very much since I just started fly tying this year.

    Nice looking bug. Do you ever use a bit of head cement under the yarn? It looks like it might slip if the fibers stretch out when your fishing. I'm going to look at picking up some yarn from you after the new year. Cheers

    I thought you used to tie this with a reverse hackle?

      Size 12 hook. This was 140 denier thread, but I prefer 70. I was just out of this color in 70.
