    The smaller handles should be on the left side of the large stand leg, not the right. With the boom extended in the incorrect position as you have pictured, the weight at the end would rotate the handle to the unlock position and could result in avoidable damage. Just sharing...

      This doesn't happen on the Kupo stands. That's part of what makes them so amazing.

    One thing which would have been worth mentioning is whether you have a sliding leg or removable turtle base c-stand. Both are excellent, and deciding which one to buy is an important decision. The removable base makes it significantly easier to transport, splitting the weight in two and separating the long and the wide parts. The sliding leg is huge for uneven ground, I was on a bit of a hillside on Friday and the sliding leg let the post stay perfectly vertical.

    Really limited video. Wish you had said more. Could have shown fittings. Threads, grooving, babies, etc.

    Never put your light on the side of an extension arm that is empty, always use the opposite one (that has the grip)

    Are BH Impact C-Stands made by Kupo? They have the same type of turtle base.

    You definitely aren't getting enough credit for doing this review and the tips afterward. Will consider this product after watching your video!

    Does Kupo say on its website that its grip heads won't slip regardless of orientation? That statement is directly contrary to what Kupo says in one of its own videos, specifically this one: ua-cam.com/video/aXwc0I0_GwU/v-deo.html

    Matthews or Avenger stands. Anything else is garbage, lousy materials and crappy quality control.

    • @FTGTapGod

      I'd argue that Matthews, Kupo, and American Grip would be good options. The bearing mechanism in Avenger stands is dangerous and I don't find that the stands last as long.
      These Kupo stands are honestly pretty solid though.

      @@FTGTapGod I own baby and junior stands by American Grip, Avenger and Matthews. About the same time you were sharing your "opinion" on Avenger stands, this professional gaffer published a long-term review based on 25 years of actual ownership and use: ua-cam.com/video/S_I-DSvWb8g/v-deo.html

      @@roryonabike5863 yep, that guy is awesome! However, if you remember from his videos, he doesn't use Avenger by choice. It's one of the only options in Australia. He says he doesn't see Matthews or American Grip because of crazy import fees. He's since also reviewed the younger brand Kupo and seemed to prefer them over the Avenger stands.
      Not sure why multiple professionals can't have differing opinions though... Ignoring the fact that in that video (and other future videos about stands) he does talk about the longevity and strength of Avenger stands.
      I'll stand by that, in my use, I don't find them to last as long as other options. And I would argue that he probably wouldn't have used them the last 25 years if he had the other options mentioned. Especially operating as a rental house.

      @FTGTapGod 3 роки тому +1

      @@roryonabike5863 I'll also add real quick that the difference between cheap C-Stands and Avenger stands is also a huge leap. They are extremely workable (obviously since he's used them for 25 years), I just put them below the 3 mentioned above.

      @@FTGTapGod Your claim that Avenger stands are dangerous is patently ridiculous, and you're talking through your hat.
