Warrington was the town my father's parents lived in, until they immigrated to the USA in the 1920s. They're all gone now, but your images and commentary helped me feel closer to them. Thank you for making this video.

I am Canadian and I was very lucky to have visited Warrington in 1998 or so. The town was really nice. Mr. Smith's was a big party palace. I noticed it was rainy when I was sober. I took care of that immediately.
Fab video, born and raised in Warrington but 'moved out' 15 years ago to Northwich! One thing I hate - the TRAFFIC. Oh my, visiting family (Penketh/Sankey/Burtonwood) and having to go through either Stockton Heath, Bridgefoot, Winwick or the M6 drives me nuts! Oh well, my childhood home with fond memories, mainly of places that no longer exits - Warrington Baths, Mr Smiths, the old bus drivers cafe (my Grandma use to work there!), old rugby ground at Wilderspool etc. Fab commentary, tongue and cheek but to be honest where ever you live there are good and bad parts. Warrington is just big with bad traffic but pretty central to most places.
It’s taken me a whole 15 years to even tolerate Warrington and now it’s kinda growing on me :’) also pretty cool video, it’s nice to see something that isn’t about rugby lol

I moved from Warrington to the US in 1979. It was quite a bit different back then. No McDonald's or Bugger King. The only American fast food was a small KRF on Bridge Street, which my sister called Kentucky Fried Rat. In the market there was a stall run by an American guy who had a grill and cooked American burgers & hop dogs, which were actually quite good. As for the rivalry between Manchester & Liverpool, so far as football goes anyway, I would say it was about 50/50 in my school. I was and always will be a Manchester United fan, and my ranking so far as football clubs go is. 1. Manchester United. 2. Manchester City. 3. Liverpool. 4. Everton. After that it's any other North-West club, followed by other northern clubs, Wales clubs, Midlands clubs, any club not from London and finally the London clubs. Of the London clubs, Chelsea is first, Spurs & Arsenal at the bottom, and just about any other London club in between, not in any particular order. I love where I live now, in Charlotte, NC, but still have fond memories of Warrington, and Grappenhall.

Warrington is a big town. A little town would be 10-30,000 people, not over 165,000
