I just signed up and your videos have been so helpful. I really appreciate the additional info you emailed me as well. I can't wait to see part 2. 🙂
That's great! I will send you the Lyft info once you are ready to add that to your driving. I am working on several new videos including one about postmates!
I hope you cover how to deal with horrible drunk people. I have had such a hard time with it that I find myself not driving at all at night as my ratings plummet because I do handle it very well. Thanks for all your great videos!
Yes I will be covering how to handle all types of passenger issues from intoxicated to aggressive to flirty etc. There is a lot of content coming.
@@Drivetowin13 That sounds great I am looking forward to watching them. Thank you for all your help.
I don't take a rider after 9:00. It cuts down on the sketchy people; not just drunks.
Great information Jason. This makes it far less daunting to get started. I will get you my sign up info as soon as I’m approved. Looking forward to part two.
Thank you Matt! I am more than happy to help in any way I can.I will reply to your email with a list of helpful tips to get you started. drivetowin13@gmail.com
This was super helpful, Jason! Looking forward to watching more of your videos
Thank you!
Love all the videos!! Yesterday was my one year anniversary with Lyft.
Congratulations on your one year anniversary!
Holy cow I wish I could’ve watched this when I first started driving! Ughhhh I was flying blind and seeing you go through a trip from beginning to end like that would’ve been so helpful…plus it would’ve eased my nerves my first trip. Great video! I’m excited to see the part 2 :)
Thank you. I remember my first trip I took and I was all nervous as well.

Thanks for your help. Part 2?
You are welcome. Part 2 will be uploaded shortly.
Thank you, very good tutorial.
Thank you for this vidéo it helped me much to start my first course
That's great. Go make that money
Great video!
Thank you! I have lots more in the works.
This is awesome what a great guide 👍😎
Thank you I do my best to remember when I was first signing up and how nervous I was. I wish there was some good guides to help me through it.
Drivetowin 13 so true!!! There’s so much stuff I wish I knew before I started 😀👍
@@drivingmisscrazy-uberlyftr3087 Same! it took forever to learn the ropes and I so wish I would have had some help starting out.
Omg.. this was such a great video!.. finally someone answered all my questions!!..
I was TERRIFIED!!.. but after this video now I'm just a little scared.. 😂..
Why does it have to be so nerve wrecking!.. 🤯😳.. lol
You got this. Like I said I highly recommend taking a test drive with a friend that way you can mess up without a real passenger.
Excellent
I'm here to help if you have any questions.
just used your referral, thank you for the tips, I just signed up with uber and I been nervous about starting up, its been almost a week :) I have so many questions so I am trying to educate my self.
Congratulations now go make that money.
They sent me an email about the referral if I put in all the info you posted it should go through correct?
@@therealxoleras It should but Uber does try as hard as possible to make sure they don't pay out bonuses so who knows.
Thanks for the free info on how to trick people into using you'r code so * You can make money off anybody driving *
It's not a trick. I use referral money to help people in this industry. I help new drivers whether they use my code or not.
Thank you so much bro
You got it
@@Drivetowin13 yes bro
Amazing! Very helpful.... Can u tell me how to cancel a ride once u have accepted it? R u allowed to do that for whatever reason? Thanx so much
Yes you can cancel a ride once you accept it however if you do that very often you will be deactivated. I usually will only do this if I absolutely have to. It is in the menu
Thanks 🙏
You are welcome I hope it helps
I'd have asked kaycee if she was 18.
You are absolutely correct and normally I would have however because this was for demonstration I already new she was 18.
@@Drivetowin13 she's ur daughter?
Question, How about if you have passenger and car break down what I'm going to do for that?
Well it can happen. Even though it has never happened to me but if it did happen to me I would offer to order an uber for the customer and I would pay for it. Most people would be very understanding and probably wouldn't let you pay for it but they would be very happy that you offered.
Can you choose your driver on Ubereats and uber drivers make $9.21 hour after commission
No you can not choose your ubereats dri er as it is linked up in the system to the driver closest to the restaurant you chose. Uber drivers in most markets are paid on a per trip scale so there is no $9.21 per hour. I make well over $20 per hour after expenses.
Dude just cAsually puts his social out there lmao
Of course I do that is how I communicate with people all over the country. I actually travel all over er helping people do gig work as a business.
Hi Jason, do I have to notice my insurance company and buy ride-share insurance from them? Thanks
I use progressive and have rideshare insurance on my policy. I would recommend it if you are doing passenger rides. I did not have it for about 2 years but I started doing high end rides so I decided to get it.
@@Drivetowin13 Thank you so much man!
Today is my first day as an UberX driver.
How did it go?
@@Drivetowin13 I made about 100 bucks today in Oklahoma City. Six hours
@@christopherwilson4430 Take the next 50 trips to get used to how you can make money then start pushing the envelope and working surge areas and airports and then push that to $30/hr.
But what happens if I don't have a referral?
You can sign up without a referral you just won't get the sign up guarantee that uber offers.
Can you do a update on the app 2022
I would do an update however the current version of the app is basically the same with a few small changes but nothing major. Do you have any specific questions
Why do I only get Uber Eats trips and not Uber driving for people?
So there are several reasons..When you signed up you selected one or the other and you will need to contact them to turn the other on. There are different background checks required. Also if you go outside your home market then you can only do eats unless you move to a new market and switch your home market in the system. Have you always only done eats or did you just start?
@@Drivetowin13 always done eats
@@alekey2021 is all you need to do is contact uber and request the ability to do passenger. Once you are approved you will be able to pick which one you would like to do in the app. You can do either one or both.
Same thing happened to me. It may also be because you are under 21. If that’s not the case then, I’d contact them. I just got approved for the driver app but can only do deliveries. I’m hoping when I turn 21 I can start ridesharing right away since I already have an account...
Can you cancel the ride when you first accepted it?
Yes you can however if you cancel to much they will deactivate you.
@@Drivetowin13 thank you! What happens if you minimize the app and open for example a different app. Will you go online then?
I mean offline*
@@joshuageorge7246 I run multiple apps all the time. If you get an ubereats request while another app is running it just pops up on the screen.
@@joshuageorge7246 if I get a request on Lyft i accept it and go offline with uber. If i am running ubereats and I accept an instacart batch, while in a delivery, I'll finish the delivery then go offline and head to the store to do instacart. Does that make sense?
quite a short ride
Definitely not the shortest ive taken. I once had a couple get in my car on one end of the block only to drive them about 50 feet and drop them off at the other end. It was legit they didn't want to walk🤔
Dashcams don’t matter in rideshare. Riders report you for having a dashcam, especially with Lyft. Then Lyft mysteriously finds a reason to deactivate you. Happened to me. Dashcams are a great deterrent, but it only takes one objection to being filmed and a false claim to get you deactivated.
I would not drive rideshare without a dashcam. Make sure you have disclaimer on your window if someone says they don't want to ride with a dashcam in the car then they don't get in.
Drivetowin 13 I definitely have visible signage and I have cancelled on people who disagree to be on video. Those are the people who caused complaints and that was verified through my local Lyft hub.
@@itowedin That is correct. If you get bad vibes right off the bat then just cancel and move on.
Drivetowin 13 Right. But what I’m trying to say is that there are consequences for that. I was temporarily deactivated after having someone complain about me having a Dashcam.
Drivetowin 13 I cancelled the ride. I mean, obviously I have footage of it.
7:34 You only have 5 seconds to accept a rider?! You don't get a chance to see what their ratings are first?
Okay, never mind... 8:48.
Do all passengers have a rating? I don't see one for myself (I'm not a driver).
Yes all passengers have ratings and your drivers sees your rating before they accept. I will not take any riders who have low ratings.
Just checked again on my app. I see it now. 5 stars after 5 rides...
Point of information! Uber no longer gives sign on bonuses. IN FACT, Uber has cut pay, by almost 50%, to look profitable, for investors. Currently, the pay is at the poverty level. Uber is worth 96.76 BILLION DOLLARS, but they cannot pay their drivers. I hope Jason got his fee, but it was only AFTER I put in his code, that I got the message, that Uber no longer pays sign on bonuses.
Your information is not accurate. First they have a guarantee not a bonus which means you receive a guaranteed amount to help you earn while you learn how to make money doing this. If you use a referral code you have to complete X amount of trips before the person who referred you gets paid. I spend a lot of time helping people not make poverty level wages doing this. There are a ton of things you can do to be profitable you just have to know how to play the game. Uber plays games with us and in turn you have to play too. Also uber does still have guarantees based on location. Your location may not offer it but other locations do.
all this for .42 cents an hour...
One of two things going on here with a comment like that. 1. You have never been an uber driver or 2. You are absolutely doing it very wrong and you are not running it like a business. I do this full time and make enough to support my whole family very comfortably.
@@Drivetowin13 no kiddin??
how about workmans comp..? ya pay that to yourself ...the companies are .changing policy to fit their marketing strategy ...more drivers = less money for the driver.. prove me wrong ..i say ya can't ...there is also allot of negativity lately with changes the companies are making ...buckle up here it comes...
@@steverinogateserelli Alright. Workmans comp insurance is something that an employer provides to the employee however as a business owner (1099 contractor) I am not required nor would I want workmans comp insurance. These companies are a platform to drive business to me however they are not my employer but simply a company that connects a passenger or order to the driver however they are not my boss nor do they control what I do within my business....Yes they can stop me from having the ability to be connected to the passenger through their service at any time and that is their right.....Every day I use these services to build my business.
@@Drivetowin13 Ill let it go... last winter i slipped and fell on a contract providers loading dock had to sue my own workmans comp as i am a contractor so tho you may not be required it is something personally i wouldn't do without so if you accidentally injure yourself .its not a cost to consider,,? thanks oh and its expensive...i include all costs in my business matrix.i don't hide it from myself..thanks and have a good one be safe...
