@ I pulled up some Atom Music Audio on AppleMusic … that is you, yes? It is phenomenal. It’s been a little crazy but I look forward to listening to more of your videos. I’ll look out for Saturday’s too. Don’t listen too closely to my piano (untrained amateur here enjoying the process). I play on my mom’s 22 year old Roland (she passed last year. She was a classically trained pianist). I know I should learn DAWs. Ha-I’m just happy I got the interface for the Roland to work in GarageBand. It was a major victory lol. Maybe one day I’ll step it up a notch! I greatly admire those who can orchestrate!!
@ I have a Roland too-Fathom 6. It’s like a keyboard on technology steroids, but in today’s standards it’s “old”. I pretty much used it to hookup to my laptop via usb via my DAW. The DAW I used is fairly simple and cheap. Does everything and used by many professional composers. It’s called “Reaper”. Don’t worry about “listening to an untrained amateur”. I composed a few pieces within my Daw using MIDI notes and chords on my own not knowing how to play. I submitted the sheet music and recording to my father who is a retired Professor of Music. He said, who did these? I said I did Dad. He couldn’t believe it since I had no music training and did everything by ear. I was more into techno and ambient music mainly in my early making music days. Since my father taught Orchestra in colleges and high schools I was never interested in that stuff. Then one day back in 2016 I started to listen to orchestral music and could understand why my father taught it. So, I study it, and learned about all the instruments and how they are played knowing I will never physically play them for about 2 yrs. Then took several courses on cinematic orchestration for about a year. Then it came time to start composing orchestral epic/cinematic music. I have a few pieces of the old stuff floating around many websites still. Then 2 years ago I had a laptop crash that had everything of mine composing gone within a second. I was and still mad about it and it killed my motivation to compose music anymore and channeled by love to the music I was no longer composing to now showcasing any type of music that is orchestrated. I wish I was Atom Or Amedea Music, but they are the publishers I am under contract with. Read the descriptions in my videos and I have their links if you want to know about them as a company and where there music is placed in film, trailers, and documentaries. My channel is basically made of Atom Music Audio and Amadea music productions. Check out their websites. Go to their music placement section. 👍 Btw,,,,you can google my name “Jon Fryett” to find 22 yrs worth of my music spread out who knows where. I can’t keep track of them all. Oh, there is a plugin called “Scaler” that can really help learning chords, progressions, and scales. UA-cam it also. Chat later….good talk!

Don’t worry about “listening to an untrained amateur”. I composed a few pieces within my Daw using MIDI notes and chords on my own not knowing how to play. I submitted the sheet music and recording to my father who is a retired Professor of Music. He said, who did these? I said I did Dad. He couldn’t believe it since I had no music training and did everything by ear. I was more into techno and ambient music mainly in my early making music days. Since my father taught Orchestra in colleges and high schools I was never interested in that stuff. Then one day back in 2016 I started to listen to orchestral music and could understand why my father taught it. So, I study it, and learned about all the instruments and how they are played knowing I will never physically play them for about 2 yrs. Then took several courses on cinematic orchestration for about a year. Then it came time to start composing orchestral epic/cinematic music. I have a few pieces of the old stuff floating around many websites still. Then 2 years ago I had a laptop crash that had everything of mine composing gone within a second. I was and still mad about it and it killed my motivation to compose music anymore and channeled by love to the music I was no longer composing to now showcasing any type of music that is orchestrated.

Btw,,,,you can google my name “Jon Fryett” to find 22 yrs worth of my music spread out who knows where. I can’t keep track of them all. Oh, there is a plugin called “Scaler” that can really help learning chords, progressions, and scales. UA-cam it also.
