Yup. It has been there since the Castle changed. I found it back when there was the funky scavenger hunt event at the Castle.

Yup but it seems like at least for me no matter your difficulty its always low rolls so I hardly bother with it. It's good for materials though to toss you a few.
I got nastogic watching that clip of the division 1. I wish they would add that part of new york to the division 2 with control points,etc
I never knew. But then again as soon as I fast travel to the castle settlement I usually quickly do what I went there for and get out as fast as I can so I don't have to listen to that theme music.

What's good Kami...what's good Chat...it's ya boy from Baltimore checkin in. Yeah...that cache @ the Castle I've know about since we first started to rebuild it. Even if u create a new character b4 u rebuild it that cache is there. Try it out. The Castle is essentially a BOO only missing a usable Shooting Range and a Clan Vendor.
That box exists forever, looting it every day...
You have two more gear loot boxes in the area under the castle and this area acts a safe area because you get ammunition and medpacks. And sometimes also you find the snitch

Yup, it’s always been there since we started upgrading the castle. Bit like the DZ lockers in the 3 safe houses, it refreshes every day.
When I first bought the game a few years ago (not long after WoNY dropped) and the game was on sale and I thought to myself "how did I not know this game existed!!" my first play through of the game (very ocd and had to find EVERYTHING) I had found that weapon loot crate and have farmed it may times with every character so it has been there since forever ago ( I mean years ago) LONG before they started building up the settlement. I can see how so many people would miss it since we only had to go there one time only during the story progression and then never again until it became relavant again recently. Alway been there bro!
I’ve been opening that since Y6 launched, I remember a couple of loot boxes around the castle before we rebuilt it.
Also, it took me almost 4 years to discover that you can craft a backpack trophy at Haven at the 3D printers 😂
I ran across that loot box a couple days back. I was surprised. Also some time back I discovered that a couple of my alt characters that I didn't actively use were getting daily SHD watch points. about 31-34 a day. I have two just sitting there doing nothing after their mule points spent, nice passive watch income. Was a nice little discovery for me.

Global difficulty impacts all loot boxes. Think this also applies to factions lockboxes that you have to keys for to open. The rebuilt castle settlement has as you say many of the same features as a base operations. So there are still closed off areas in the castle settlement. Not sure if they will be upgraded for access in future seasons but who knows at this stage
hey Kami, the weapon cache have been there since the game started after you clear the toxic fume in the settlement and underneath where sometimes cassie is at there is one when you enter the carpark to the right and one behind the front desk after you open the door.. Thanks

There's a also loot box next to the descent entrance (the one closer to the white house)

The theatre is actually a huge settlement but you cant access most of it. Most of the surrounding buildings are Theatre settlement.

Yes, I knew. I go there everyday to get my weapon. I prefer using this as my FOB instead of going to the WH unless I need to stop at the Clan HQ. I would show everyone who was with me that the cache was there. As for the 2 laptops...it was for one of the Manhunt missions, I believe it was with Birdie and going after the Recruiter. Once you activated them, they didn't do anything else...but you can open them everyday.

the castle has all kinds of weird stuff. The stashes to open, the weird fuse by the power plant, the laptops, the pilot. My assumption is similar to Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Motherland, the white house is going to become closed due to something happening. Otherwise given the fast travel why would you ever go there to use the all the same things as the white house. Something is going to go down with Calvin, we will break Keener out and we will use the castle as our new base of ops with him on our coms along with kelso.
funny build : 1 ceska backpack,(vampire),2 breakingpoint, 1 overlord, 2 recon (20% damage). Weapon - mk17, (boomerang). Hit harder than 4 breakingpoint,(breaking point buff - 1 magazine cooldown).

Yes I have known about this loot box since the beginning of the castle settlement in year 5! It is obviously obvious that you pay attention to your surroundings in the castle settlement and your environment. I prefer to stay at the castle settlement and it still needs a clan area.

I did not know about it, went to the box with my first toon and got a Ninjabike backpack (!!!) along with a nice roll L86
To me it seems like the castle is setup like base of ops because the whitehouse will get taken over at some point.
There are also the two gear crates under the Castle. Nice little farming spot now.

I was never removed. When you frist get to the castle when true sons attack you can loot it. When we upgrade the castle from season 5 it necer got removed.
its there even for new players so once they unlocked the castle you can get it every day ive tested it out on 3 accounts from season 5 and i had to start from fresh cause i reinstall my windows and forgot to save the logins for my account :/ but i found you can still get the loot every day

That loot box has Been there allways, so it isnt new. That weapon cashe was there allways even when Casttle Seattlement was in pieces and dead JTF members everywhere.
They have look boxes in base but only mats

Go to countdown and set your loot drop for masks.That's how I got mine
Just farm whatever area has Mask. Getting it should b easy...easier the higher ur world level.
