    Just after I thought removing the oil filter was a pain god damn now the spark plugs :(

      for real. literally nothing is simple on this car LOL

    Yo! That one hose with the liquid coming out is actually a coolant line. IMO it should be fine to remove nonetheless. If "too much" coolant comes out, just top the radiator reservoir with new coolant (Toyota Long Life coolant, colored red) and leave the radiator cap open and idle the car until the thermostat opens and then few minutes more! This way any air will find its way out of the system.
    Bonus tip for anyone considering doing the spark plug change: when the throttle body is removed, you might as well use some carb cleaner to clean the PCV valves/channels and the butterly flap while you're at it.

    I'm randomly watching IS videos cause I am now the owner of an 02 IS Sportcross, but I own a 07 Scion tC since 06. I thought it was a fun coincidence.

      Wow that's actually so sick. I think it's a decent progression! For me, I was actually aiming to buy the original '13 FRS but ended up with the '11 tC. And I think it was right for me at the time. I was a dumb kid, got arrested for street racing and that was just in the tC. If I was in an RWD at that time, I'm sure I would've made some fatal mistakes. So now, older and slightly smarter lol, I think the IS300 has been a great drivers car. And I get to truly appreciate it as that!

      Love my tC even after 17 years, and the Sportcross is the perfect cruiser, and my mistakes are not buying a Eclipse GSX and Celica GT4 when they were cheap!

      @thatgoddamnpotato3367 maaan a celica GT4 would be so fun. The tC holds up still! that thing can handle anything. We did a trip spontaneously from chicago to LA in it! I have a playlist on the 3 part video series I believe. I’d recommend checking that out!

    Ik this is old, but what socket did you use for the plugs?

    • @DMRKing_
      @DMRKing_  9 місяців тому

      There are spark plug specific sockets I had in my kit. it has a rubber gasket at the end that holds the plug. You can find them at any auto parts store!
