As per the label, drying/curing time is days, not hours! The durability depends on the dry time. This paint is incredible. Dry time is the key! Do NOT put 3 coats on without appropriate dry time.
I just saw your video today and I'm glad I did, just ordered today. I have used dixie belle but long delivery time almost two week. With this I will not need Slick Stick. But no savings.

I normally seal any furniture that I paint, but this piece I left as is and it held up. If it was a high-use piece of furniture, I would probably do a clear coat finish for added protection and peace of mind.
@@maggiegeorge5146 It will be fully dry in 3-4 hours, but as with any paint, it takes 30 days to be fully cured. That just means, don't wipe it with a wet rag or put anything heavy on top of it for that long.
This paint looks so good I have lots of projects in mind, my kitchen Cabinet and bathroom Cabinet. Thank you. Where can I buy this? I ask lowes and they don’t carry this brand.
If you can't find it at Lowe's or Home Depot, you may need to order directly from them. Click the description box beneath my video. You should still be able to get a discount by ordering it through there.

I been looking for a way to pain a old French Provincial three drawer night stand and I seen this . I got online and ordered a soft gray shade of this paint. I’m going to trim in white. Thanks for sharing this with us.
@@MuralsbyMarcyVI just finished a French Provincial three drawer chest in gray and white with gold original pull handles today . I got a lot of tips from your video thanks for sharing.
I have a an old china cabinet with a mahogany veneer that belonged to my grandmother. I’ve been wanting to paint it for years and just found out about this paint. Do you think this would be a gooog paint to use for that project? Also, you said you had a lot left over from your project. Do you think this size jar would be enough to do a whole china cabinet?
If people use this paint successfully on countertops, I'm confident it would work on veneer. I would have to see how big your china cabinet is, to know for sure, but this paint goes a long way. I used less than 1/4th of the quart for my little project. Hope that helps.
Marcy! Please keep doing videos! Your editing and ease to follow is fantastic. It maybe your tags that are not getting enough views. It's great content please keep going. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I actually started a second channel called "Marcy Inspired" during the quarantine and have been a lot better about consistently putting out one video a week there. It's a cooking channel, still in the baby stages, but I've learned so much (mostly, that I've done everything wrong with this channel! Lol) But my heart is definitely to show other people that, if I can do it, they can do it. So, I still plan on sharing other DIY projects here from time to time. I'll be sure to check out your channel and wish you great success.
Hello Marcy, how much of the Beyond Paint did you use for the nightstand ? I have two, about the same size. Would you recommend apply the 1st/2nd coats with a roller, or with a brush ? Thank you
I only used about 1/4 of the quart for that little nightstand, so you should easily have enough for both if they're about the same size. I use the brush to get into all the nooks and crannies that the roller can't get, but then overall I use the roller. So, depending on the shape you're working with, you may need to use both simultaneously. Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
I see this video is from a long time ago, however I'm researching this paint for my kitchen cabinets. Would you recommend this product for kitchen cabinets? Thanks
@@MuralsbyMarcyV I’m just worried that the end result won’t be smooth and professional looking so I’m going to test it on a piece of small TV stand / cabinet that i have.
I just found this paint , Im thinking of repainting a old piece in the off white and i what a high gloss. It looks to be shiny enough so I’m going to buy it and good ahead with the project. Im happy to see used before I buy the paint.
I have it in the guest bedroom where it doesn't get a whole lot of use, but I will say that I never gave it a clear top coat for protection, and so far it's held up beautifully.
Yes, it has a very strong smell. In fact, to me, the paint fumes were much stronger than regular paint. Definitely paint in the garage with the door open, or in a well ventilated area.
I used this paint for my cabinets. I did a scratch test a day after I applied the first coat and the paint came right off. What am I doing wrong? I cleaned the cabinets very well before painting
It’s a beautiful color...but it’s not navy to me. I would’ve been disappointed if I was going for navy blue & this opaque periwinkle-ish was my result.
@@terryharris6290 Not where I live. It's MORE than $100. Even a hundred bucks a gallon isn't cheap...but a hundred bucks a quart is out of the question.
This paint is horrible. i bought some and it wouldn't cover anything. I wasted so much paint and I should have primed it first anyway. I wouldn't not recommend. There's a reason Home Depot doesn't carry it in the store, people would be returning like crazy. If you have such a great paint why wouldn't you carry in the store??? Because it doesn't do what they say it will.
😃BEAUTIFUL COLOR!!!! Love the Knobs!!!!

Dry and cure is two different things. Re Coat / second coat in 2 hours dry to touch. Cures in 30 days.
Such an adorable little piece

Looking so good
Can you do a follow up on the durability please?
I ended up selling that piece, but I do plan on using that paint for a future project. Maybe I can do a durability follow up then. Thanks for the tip.

Ooooo nice . Can you tell me where you got your knob hardware? They go together well with that blue.
I found them at Hobby Lobby, which is my favorite place for unique knobs. They're half-off every other week, so you can score some deals.

I know that this paint doesn’t need sanding but Can i sand my furniture before using this paint?
Did you need to wet the brush a bit? Need to mist a bit on the surface for a smooth finish?
I always moisten my brush and roller before using them, but I did not mist the surface. The paint smoothed out on its own. Hope this helps.
@@marcyinspired1442 Yes, good to know. Brush strokes are usually a problem, especially for new artists.
Beautiful job 👏

Can you use this paint for outdoor furniture?
You can but if humidity is an issue in your area, it may not bond as well. You would also definitely want to seal it afterwards
does this paint need a top coat/sealer if using on kitchen cabinets

Is the paint water based? Thanks~🌞
Yes, it is. It's a water-based acrylic.
I have a dining set with 5 chairs & would like a guide as to how much paint to purchase? I’m seriously considering Beyond Paint for this project
My project was small, but I used less than a quarter of the quart of paint. I would say, for your dining set, two quarts should do it.
Is this navy or deep blue?
The color is Navy.
@@marcyinspired1442 thank you, just the blue I was looking for

Are they no longer offering the 15% off?
I would like to try this but it's really exclusive i found 1 pint at home depot for $25.00
It is pricey, but a little goes a long way. I only used about 1/4 of the pint for this project.
What about chipping? Has it held up or does it chip easily?

How can I get a sample from beyond paint
That dresser was beautiful before ♥️ the shape
If painting indoors does this paint have a smell.??

I'm no expert on Beyond Paint, but all paint takes about 30 days to fully cure. I wouldn't do a scratch test until after 30 days. Hope this helps.
This absolutely takes a full 30 days to cure and if you are in an area where humidity is an issue it can be a little longer
Why on earth are you using a chip brush?
It’s a beautiful color...but it’s not navy to me. I would’ve been disappointed if I was going for navy blue & this
