    His tailgate, along with his crossover, could come in handy as a press mount.

    If I were to invest in this system from a gunsmithing standpoint, I would have him make a pedestal for use from a sitting height. I’m to beat up to stand for long periods of time. Build the pedestal on an offset plate so that my weight is holding things down. Or after time using it, bolt it down.
    I’m right handed so sit turned left so that tools are in reach. With the pedestal mount, even sitting with the three axis mounts, you could still get to where you can basically wrap your arms around the work.
    Only thing that might not work very well is using a barrel vise.

    Most of us use one or more engineering or blacksmiths vices. In fact most of us have used them for years without any problems. So whilst interesting, I am not sure they are worth the expense.

      I've tested a lot and there's all different reasons why I liked or didn't like some but at this point I just use the cheapest stuff from Costco.
