  • This is my review and a demonstration of the capabilities of the excellent Hikmicro Lynx Pro LH25 Thermal Monocular. It includes videos and still photos of feral and native Australian animals in the wild, including a joey who really should be out of the pouch but is enjoying his mum doing all the hopping too much to leave!
This is only our SECOND EVER UA-cam video, so if you liked the video please feel free to Like, Subscribe and leave a Comment!

Watched loads of reviews on this device and this review has been the best. As a photographer I’m looking for a device that will pick up small woodland creatures (mice/voles) and owls in trees whilst I’m sat on my hide. All other reviews look at larger animals at further distances. Thanks and wasn’t expecting that accent down under, greetings from the UK.

Thanks Michael and greetings from Oz! Using this device we found small birds (about the size of a wren) asleep on their perches in bushes and field mice running across paddocks as we scanned for our targets, so this device should serve you well for your purposes. The beauty of thermal, as I'm sure you know, is you can use it day and night, so finding that elusive critter in the day just got easier too.
I'm currently testing another handheld thermal monocular and a pair of thermal binoculars, so I'll post the reviews of those here too for comparison.

Awesome video👍🏼 we wild camp in Scotland and have always wanted a scope to spy on the wildlife at night in the highlands, this wee gem seems ideal 👀👍🏼

THe only thing I wish these things had is a mil reticle to use for distance.

That would definitely be a handy option in the menu. :-)

i have no text/icons in my screen. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Hi Guus, I can't imagine why that would occur, other than a fault with the device. Regarless of whether you've zoomed in to your target or if the device is out of focus, you should still see the icons. I'd get in touch with the vendor to see what they say.
