For future reference, if you ever need to stall in the air indefinitely, there are some setups for that, such as going to Custom Smash, setting gravity to light and spamming K. Rool's up air. Combining this with 4x Floaty Jumps (spirit effect) helps, but isn't mandatory. You can also gain infinite height this way, but some stages end up killing you at some point.
I thought you can only reach 2 jumps with one +1 midair jump support and another +1 midair jump primary spirit And to get 3 jumps only on world of light
So something that I thought of and noticed, the 10 hit combo does un-stale itself because it fills and clears the staling tracker. So if you ever feel like any of your moves aren't killing when they should, just 10 hit combo. It's kind of dumb, and probably not the best way of doing it, but it's there.
I just did some testing myself, and apparently the full 10-hit combo counts as... 4 moves for the staling tracker. No, really. Apparently, the first 4 hits of the move are all counted separately for move staling, and then every hit past that seems to simply be staled alongside the 4th move. This also means that fully staling a move and then using the 10-hit combo, has the exact same effect on that move's damage as fully staling it and then using 4 of any other attack. My guesses for _why_ this happens are either a) they wanted it to unstale other moves more than once but not clear the entire tracker, or b) some jank relating to how you can cancel it into Flash Punch Combo after the second hit. I'm actually leaning towards b), since the third hit of Flash Punch Combo actually stales together with the third hit of the 10-hit combo. But I don't know for sure.

I had no idea what happened to Nairo and the other people in the big Smash controversy last year after it happened since I'm wasn't very interested in competitive Smash and wanted to stay out of it. Glad to know that Nairo is back and doing well.
The camera also seems to get funky on other stages too. I was playing competitive ruleset on omega golden plains (or a similar stage) got a grab as Kazuya, and the camera did the same thing it does on 2D stages. Weird…
Apparently heaven's door has a non-grab hitbox after a while of being active it turns into a regular hitbox that does 12.5% and has considerably low back sending up upward
Kazuya's Down B will always make him land on the same surface either him and/or the opponent is on. Unlike Bowser's Side B where you can land on platforms after you perform the move on the bottom ground, Kazuya will land on the platform he started to use the move on or if you're in the air and grab someone with it, you'll land where they were standing. If you're both in the air and you grab someone with it, you'll land on the ground with it and not a platform. The only exception is grabbing someone on a platform and dropping down off the platform onto the stage. You still can't go to a different platform tho. Not sure if this was a well known fact but nobody's been talking about it or pointing it out so I took that into my own hands. Neat little thing to keep in mind ig.
I played against a Bayonetta CPU as a Bayonetta main. I know my combos, of course, so when I saw her attempt full combos that I know and use I was wondering why she wasn't actually as bad anymore. She used to get stuck off the edge of the stage and just not recover, it was actually interesting see her play the game for once.
Just spam down smash since it’s pretty much fixed knock back, then land any other smash attack. Alternatively, don’t be _that_ person and use a few command inputs. Like don’t memorize all of theme, just memorize like 3-6 and you’ll be fine.

Also what if you use something like flare blitz at the top when its open and you're in the invisible tube, will you keep going past it, hit an invisible wall and take 12% or take 6% and not hit anything but still be awkwardly stuck there? I tried to do a sneaky and use rest on the wall to extend the hitbox but ended up wiffing I also want to know characters with a recovery that's strongly vertical like Ike
From my testing also they seemed to finally patch the glitch with final smashes and the pause camera as you used to use frame advance to trigger the final smash and most dlc cutscene ones would break with the camera snapping back to where the camera was for the final smash cutscene which would be some fun DIY boundary breaking but it seems we cannot do the glitch as final smashes will work perfectly now. :(
2 things about kazuya throws: 1. All throws except up count as one more hit on the combo counter than they seem to be in game. 2. Gates of hell has its tekken hitsparks appear 6 frames before the hit. I forget details try both of these yourself
Hay, I know this may be old but I have a good short test you could you do, a stress test with the Amiibo glitch to control all players as Player 1 and switch from Mythra and Pyra and their taunt just to see what will happen. A random thing that happened when playing Kazuya online was that when I had rage and used the input version of Rage Drive, I sometimes (and very frequently) got the Spinning Demon Left Hook’s input. It landed some awesome kills so I am fine, but I’m still confused😂.

Not a dumb question. I guess the camera just returns to normal immediately. Although throws normally armor so I guess most situations wouldn't interrupt them anyway.
I think Kazuyas character selection image is zoomed out so you can see what colour his trousers are. Otherwise, you wouldn't know which alt you selected if you only ever use the shoulder buttons.
I’m pretty sure the reason the zoom doesn’t trigger sometimes on the cinematic gates of hell is because it’s possible to sd with the move. If your close enough to the center of the stage to where bits impossible, it will zoom. But if you’re near the edge, it will not zoom. Haven’t tested it thoroughly, but there might be some exceptions.
People getting scared of the ten hit combo when you can just wiggle your control stick a bit to get out kinda explains the character a lot. There’s a lot of zero to deaths and infinites you can do with this character. If the opponent doesn’t touch the controller
Fun Fact: If you break a wall on the Mishima Dojo the torches' flames in the background will dim and blow away from the wall you broke. Example: break the right wall, flames will dim and blow to the left and same vice versa. If the ceiling is broken, the flames will just dim.
Don't know if you know this but I did some testing for the rage mechanic and found this. In 300% smash the rage mechanic always appears when you lose a stock but not in 10% stamina battle.
It may be because Sakurai himself said it in the presentation so people take it for granted as commom knowledge as they forget not everyone watches Sakurai's videos.

Play around with it a bit, like, try doing the combo at different percents and try both holding a and mashing a. Another thing: as far as i know (i tested it a bit) the camera only changes for heavens door if you're somewhat close to the center of the stage. If you move too far to either side, you won't get the cinematic effect
Random/Pointless Smash Fact: If you shot k rules neutral special, reflect it with Mewtwo's side special, then k rules down special, the cannon ball with slow down, and eventually stay in place, for about 3/5 seconds, and you can get hit by it.
Fact: when someone does a attack in the air and lands during it they have a special landing animation and somethings deferent end lag. It’s easiest to tell with Lucases neutral air

Just an FYI, if you are outside the walls when the stage forms with walls from another stage while you are playing, you will be "locked out" of the stage and fall to your death.
The reason Heaven's Gate doesn't change the camera angle sometimes is because you are too close to the ledge so if the camera zoomed in like normal you might throw yourself off stage accidentally.

Finally someone mentions how you can easily SDI out of Kazuya's ten hit combo! I figured that out as soon as he was an opponent.

Some stages like Golden Plains don't use perspective, they have orthographic cameras. That wouldn't look nice at all and so they disabled them there.

If you use up throw of kazuya when small and then grow while your opponent is in the air you'll fire the laser at nothing instead of your opponent.
