@@sugarbear9118 I agree as a Black Woman. Some hairstylist can't do hair, and that's regardless of race. My hair has been through all types of stylist. Lol!
Right I think rollersets make our hair grow healthy because my old hairstylist used to give her clients just rollersets and all the black women's natural hair was long and healthy just like hers.
It must really be a hard concept to understand that she's doing what the client wants, not what we want. I see these same type of comments under most of her videos and honestly, it's annoying. You're not the client sitting in the chair so repeatedly saying what y'all prefer is not going to make Eden change what's she's doing. "Why did she use heat?" To match the roots to the rest of her hair. Her roots can revert back faster than the rest the hair if left as is. "Why did she brush all those curls out?" Because obviously the client wanted straighter yet full of body look. "I don't understand why she always flat iron the rollersets." Because, client. And that method still helps retain body within flatironing the hair. "I would never brush those curls out." Good for YOU, not the client though. "I prefer her natural curls" Well that's cute, but again not what the client wants. Switching it up isn't the devil people. Y'all ask the same questions when she has tons of videos explaining her methods. We really got to stop projecting our wants on other people just because we think what we prefer is better. It's better for ourselves, that's it.
Um…I just did a roller wrap on my natural hair yesterday, and my roots are straight as a natural. So…no, you’re wrong. 1. All I did was pull the roller tight to straighten the roots when drying. 2. Use some Chi silk serum before wrapping my hair with Saran Wrap and sitting back under the dryer. My hair looks the same and I never used a flat iron. Stylist can get set in their ways, especially if they don’t know any better. Lots of women back in the day did the method I used. What do you think Black women did before flat irons?
@@dbalexan hate to break it to you but not everyone is you and not everyone has your hair. what works for u doesnt work for everyone else and that doesnt make other people wrong. people are different and that’s okay

I don't know about that ladies, the few times that I have gone to the salon The Stylist pretty much 'completes' the hairdo without me really knowing what's going on including all this spritzing and teasing. I usually have to stop them but they tend to comb out the curls without me wanting them to. At least that has been my experience. Maybe because so many other people like it that way they just assume and start going through the motions?🤷🏽♀️
Very nice. Finally, something different. I'm so used to the curls always be straitened out completely with an iron for the bone straight permed look. It's refreshing to see a more volumized look for once, all the other videos were beginning to look the same. Perhaps thhe client requested this particular look?
If you have natural hair how often can you get a roller set without there being heat damage? I've been natural since 2013. And I've been wondering about this. Since the hooded dryer is indirect heat instead of the direct heat from the handheld dryer. Then can you get a roller set twice a month or weekly(if you workout and happen to be some that sweats like me) without there being any damage?
Emoretta Robinson too much heat is never good and causes damage! If u need to then roller set once a month but PLEASE always use a GOOD deep conditioner
@@Aiesha1981 I always use a pre poo or a hot oil treatment. And then after I shampoo I sit under the dryer with a really good conditioner for 20-25 minutes. I've found that makes my hair softer. I don't know why but I had stopped doing hot oil treatments when I went natural. I thought I would no longer need them. Turns out that my hair still likes them. And I use hair masks too. I just normally air dry and it takes a long time. That's why I was asking about the roller sets under the dryer.
When my Mom got her hair done; she didnt comb out her curls. She took a fork & drop that front curl. As days went by she slowly pick a curl or two out. I'm white, but I have very curly hair. Irons take out body, rollers can give great body, and less heat, but be too much. Her process here leaves body and shine, but gives her the shape with less heat and product. I used it for years. You don't get the same results with wraps or other techniques. She's a pro- knows what she's doing!

I wish more stylists offered this method instead of trying to flat iron my entire head! Love this!!!

I said the same thing... I love that u kept the natural curls instead of the flat iron
Wonder how many black woman would have their own hair if they spent more time on healthy hair, as opposed to fake hair
You have to tell them! It's your hair....
