      what kind of wood did you use please and thank you plus other then brass wood what types of wood would you recommend as well would fire wood work? I think I have oak but I'm not sure. you should make an Athenian helmet too :)
      question aren't diamond burrs mostly used for stone carvings? I didn't know that at times I could also use diamond burrs and that I'm sure it also depends on the wood like oak, cedar and or bass wood's

    Hello. I have bought a Wolfcraft flexible shaft, maximum 3500 rot/min (for the drilling machine). Is it possible to carve with a rotary rasp at such low speed? I think maybe it would be possible with rotary burrs. But with rotary rasp, you think it's possible? What's the speed you use with the big flexible shaft (not the Dremel)?

    I am a novice at woodwork and want to know if you can give me some direction.
    I have the Dremel 3000 with a flex shaft and have taught myself through trial and error, and listening to you and the helpful hints you talk about. I have a chest that I believe is either Chinese or Japanese with a 3D carving on four sides and the top. It is about 40" x 21" x20'H. I would love to refinish it and repair it if where needed. In the meantime, I would like to know what the finish is and is the finish easily damaged?
    I dues a little Windex with a soft paper towel to try and get dust and dirt off, but too much of that will lead to disastrous results. However, when the Windex dried, it appeared to be a low eggshell finish; the dark or black portion is very, very fine, almost flake-like.
    I enjoy your videos, and you are totally at home working with wood, so I thought I would start with you on my search to find how to refinish this piece of furniture.
    I can send some pictures of the chest so you'll have a better idea of what I am trying to describe. I am not on Facebook, Twitter, or zoom; doesn't mean I can't be if necessary to converse.
    Looking forward to your response.
    Tom K

    • @CorneliusCreations
      @CorneliusCreations  3 роки тому

      Hey Tom, I am no expert in refinishing furniture so please double check what I say with someone else. But it sound like moisture has settled under the poly or whatever the chest was finished with. Might need to strip it and start by re-staining it and sealing it. I would double check this info though, As I said, I've never done any of that so I could be wrong. Best of luck!
