I have a Flir thermal cam I use in my job daily, has pulled my butt out of the fire countless times. The HOT will not read correctly due to reflective surface on it, you can get around that by coloring part of it with a black sharpie, will give a more accurate measurement
If you cut the green wire on that isolation transformer you are much less likely of getting a shock. You would only get a shock if you touch a two things with a potential between them.
Would you believe I purchased a former arcade operator's tackle box filled with hundreds of roms, ICs, etc. including that same fluke probe, all for $100 off eBay 😂
Thanks Coach for taking one for the team. Your time and efforts are appreciated. 👍 📺
Thanks, I have faith in Peter getting it done!
This is great. Looking forward to seeing how these are tested. Great stuff Charlie 👍
Thanks! I'm sure Peter will get the Sharp flyback figured out eventually, and it'll be worth the wait!
11:39 That plug is for Germany.
Thanks, that explains why I didn’t recognize it!
I have the same fluke probe. Great for discharging the flyback too. Has a built in resistor. A lot better than a screwdriver attached to a wire lol
I only use the Fluke to discharge vector monitors. Rasters can handle the snap! 😅

Oh wow, thanks for the tip! I'll have to try that with reflective surfaces.

Small suggestion, get some hv insulated gloves for when you're poking around the tube like that.
That’s not a bad idea! Do you have a pair that you’d recommend?
@@overtimearcade Nope, none in particular, as long as they are from a reputable company.

That’s a great get!
I most certainly do NOT believe that you spent more than $2 on it! 🤣
I'm insanely jealous!
