He had ZERO to do with their sound, and he couldn't force himself to stop saying dumb shit to the press. He was a liability. He had an interesting act, being a pseudo-militarist dance instructor, but that wasn't the musical draw there. You think he was that important, you really don't get why they became popular. Their sound was revolutionary, but angry blabbering isn't.

Good interview. Vlad was able to separate between disparaging remarks being made about two particular Jews and being able to interview the subject in a dispassionate light so that the interview is not lost. The point of a good interview is that the subject can behave naturally. The viewer can then make his own conclusions. Great stuff, Vlad.
"He talks about how MC Serch perceived him as making derogatory comments towards Jewish people." Seriously? There's no "perceived" about it. Griff said: "The Jews are wicked. And we can prove this..."
@Yasmine Isaac Well i do apologise for calling you an eejit, good to see another person unawayed by the lies the media pushes to keep us separated. Its a class war, not a race war. Black people worldwide have allies of all colours and creeds, it pains me to hear people who look like me spouting horrific nonsense about their brethren of other nations. All the best Yasmine, truly i wish you the greatest.
I think Vlad was wanting this interview over after the first 2min. I think that's probably most of the reason why Vlad didn't scratch the surface of any topic being addressed..

I worked in a record store in Kansas City when Griff's album came out on Luke Records and it was not even on our radar and we had sold tons of Public Enemy records.
It was my 13th birthday and bought Fear of a Black Planet to come home to see Desert Storm had started. Put my headphones on and watched the war live. It was coming of age in so many ways.
After Chuck D dismissed Griff at the behest of an outside group it made me, a fan from the first album and a teenager, realize that everything I liked about the group was just a gimmick and an image. There was no fighting the power in fact but capitulation to the power. S1Ws didn't even have real guns... I couldn't find it in my heart to take the music seriously any more. Even the lyrics to Black Steel sound different to me... no one gets put in jail over a draft letter these days...
Bro. Richard Griffin , is one of the realest cats, I have ever met as it pertains to HIP-HOP culture, he is a giving spirit. I have always loved & respected him, because he was never afraid to confront music execs, when they have wanted to tare & feathered the arts. :))

I really like Professor Griff for some reason. I was not a hardcore hip-hop fan while young. I like harmonious relations. However, this man has a strong character and stands on his word. He is unapologetic and his communication has integrity.
Just said it last week and Imma said it again, GRIFF IS A LOYAL ASS DUDE! I was shocked at Flav's behavior! Me being a comic book nerd I thought about the old saying, "In comic books only Bucky stays dead!" IMHO, it was like, "In Hip Hop only Chuck and Flav will never fall out!" I was wrong...

Yeah they became Public Friend-emy after that..
Facts saint
"Dressed in fatigue, this is real. We ain't no actors, ain't wearing this shit for no fashion. You'll see how real it be once we start blasting"
Real one's know about that camo.
PUBLIC ENEMY, GRAND MASTER FLASH/MELLE MEL & THE FURIOUS 5 AND N.W.A ARE MY 3 FAVORITE GROUPS OF ALL TIME!
“The drilling wasn’t as sharp” 😂😂
I know, lol.
Yea, Vlad was scared of the Professor!
He look like aged Cassidy
howlbeast I know this a year old but he sure the fuck do like that's his dad or some shit
Cam Phil 😂😂😂😂
howlbeast 😂😂😂😂
Accurate
Good interview. Vlad was able to separate between disparaging remarks being made about two particular Jews and being able to interview the subject in a dispassionate light so that the interview is not lost. The point of a good interview is that the subject can behave naturally. The viewer can then make his own conclusions. Great stuff, Vlad.
I met griff and public enemy a few years back at a restaurant when we was walking by in Denver. Real solid crew.
You don't want Prof Griff's smoke
Guess who's on Vlad's couch in a month or 2, none other than MC Serch or Pimp Minister Pete Nice.
Geom Etrotman you wrong but you right
What's wrong with getting both sides?
Geom Etrotman And they better watch their mouths....
😂You mean Prime Minister Pete Nice
Well.........a year later.. but it's here now. Serch on the couch.
Respect to Griff for keeping it real.
Yeah, he's keeping it real long after it's gone really wrong, but he's still stepping in it over and over
I remember when I was little watching the S1W's do the marches in the videos. Mannnn
"He talks about how MC Serch perceived him as making derogatory comments towards Jewish people." Seriously? There's no "perceived" about it.
Griff said: "The Jews are wicked. And we can prove this..."
Griff said all kinds of racist shit.
@Yasmine Isaac 😂😂😂 youre an eejit. No one race is good or bad.
@Yasmine Isaac here we go...
Dude puts the "ig' in ignant"
U trippin..gtfoh
Griff: "i heard you been saying the N word caveboy"
Serch "thats steve lobell!"
Griff: "yall look the same to me!"
Spaceship Cafe 😂 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Spaceship Cafe 😂😂😂😂😂☠️☠️
Griff's album Pawns In The Game is very under rated and under appreciated.
I think Vlad was wanting this interview over after the first 2min. I think that's probably most of the reason why Vlad didn't scratch the surface of any topic being addressed..
Griff is a real life legend! He should be considered a national treasure in this day and age! Much respect 🫡
Griff if you see this, you led me to the truth of the world years ago.. and I appreciate you not being afraid to speak the truth. I appreciate you for that and I hope your alright. You had the best videos back in the day regarding the way the real world and what celebrities really do behind the scenes. Can't find those videos no more, anyways hope you all good.
When the elements was in place PE was large Griff brought alot of credibility to group 💯💯💯💯
Folks need to stop feeding this culture vulture information.
At least start getting paid for your interviews.
How he a culture vulture!
Real shit
You're watching supports him. If you don't like him, don't watch.
Haha...
They’re getting paid for these interviews.
I have a new found understanding and appreciation for Professor Griff....👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
Professor Griff was always so militant! Definitely respect him he didn’t play at all but he has a point of Search was disrespecting Malcom X (especially where Malcom X was assonated) smh. P.E. Was a movement! Love them.
Griff did the RIGHT thing fuck them allowing King Malcolm to be disrespected
Big ups to Griff!✊🏾👊🏾👏🏾
i hope Griff addresses how the media tried to portray him as being aligned with the Dallas shooter with the pics, as if he somehow influenced/indoctrinated him to do the shooting
His name was Gavin Long
When Griff came back hip hop was gentrified lol
Yo hip hop was always like that. Og Graf Artists and b-boys were black , Hispanic and white. Some of the best burners on the trains were done by white writers. Mostly the mc was black. Hip hop was way more then mc's
The money started flowing in and that messes everything up.
I Would Like Them to Do A Movie About The Group Public Enemy.I'll bet it'll be Good As N.W.A
It will be better than the NWA movie. Dre & Cube added too many fanciful stories like Dre dropping the Piru's at Death Row records
Bomb Squad is in the NWA movie. That is PE for intenses and purposes.
Love Professor Griff hes to smart for his own good 😂
n Vlad can't do SHIT about it lol only with these young dumb mumble rappers but not a real one he could NEVER in his punk life LOL
He’s a conspirisist so not really
👎

need more rebels like Griff
telz yea for target practice
telz yea an old man that dresses and talks like an ignorant angry teenager.
@@dariusmichael6167 - Could not have said it better. Big Thumbs-Up.
Griff and Lord Jamar look allot alike with their facial manurisms as well as their mode of speech I wonder if they hang out alot
Professor Griff an hip hop genus
After Chuck D dismissed Griff at the behest of an outside group it made me, a fan from the first album and a teenager, realize that everything I liked about the group was just a gimmick and an image. There was no fighting the power in fact but capitulation to the power. S1Ws didn't even have real guns... I couldn't find it in my heart to take the music seriously any more. Even the lyrics to Black Steel sound different to me... no one gets put in jail over a draft letter these days...
Don't believe the hype!!!
Mc Serch was one of the executive producers of Nas's Illmatic.
Yep for 2 percent
He’s right. The energy was different. Felt like PE was just making songs. I didn’t know was different but it was way different
Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black, was the album after Fear of A Black Planet.
Bro. Richard Griffin , is one of the realest cats, I have ever met as it pertains to HIP-HOP culture, he is a giving spirit. I have always loved & respected him, because he was never afraid to confront music execs, when they have wanted to tare & feathered the arts. :))
Yeah Griff Ain't No Punk TRUE WARRIOR!! Love The Brotha✔💯
Can here after the Hammer 50K on Serch's head for dissing his mother Vlad interview
Damon M same 😭😭
It was Pete nice that dissed hammer

Lies
I don’t think he cares
nomibe2911 he doesn't give a fuck
The question is "does he CARE?" LOL
nomibe2911 are you serious...hell yeah he knew
Professor McGriff I think needs his own podcast
I love dis dude !! 😂 P Griff keeps it 💯 lol Militant asf
Everybody wanted a piece of MC serch
Gerald Washington Cause Serch was the big mouth of the group
I had the album that he did under Luke Records...
Was it jamming? And what did it sound like
I always wondered how he ended up with Luke.
RawStarMon Me too.
RawStarMon Pawns in the game was a beast. I liked that song and video. I think Wu Tang taken bits n pieces of that video to add to Da Mystery of Chessboxing video.
I like the album. And his second one.
Professor Griff is a warrior🤴🏾
Yup, a booty warrior, like Fleece Johnson
I really like Professor Griff for some reason. I was not a hardcore hip-hop fan while young. I like harmonious relations. However, this man has a strong character and stands on his word. He is unapologetic and his communication has integrity.
Just said it last week and Imma said it again, GRIFF IS A LOYAL ASS DUDE! I was shocked at Flav's behavior! Me being a comic book nerd I thought about the old saying, "In comic books only Bucky stays dead!" IMHO, it was like, "In Hip Hop only Chuck and Flav will never fall out!" I was wrong...
How did Serch disrespect X? He gave zero details.
He did. Just Brief
@slick67cuda wtf?
@slick67cuda STFU, nobody.
slick67cuda why you on multiple comments saying the same shit talkin all kryptic and shit , foh square you ain’t tough 😂😂😂
Well do some research, through due diligence. I'm about be right back
When he said “Pete Pussy” I lost it !!!! 😂😂😂
