Can you make a video on how to composite? How can we put a clip of a character moving and then completely removing the background, and then adding more characters?
Wow--that is all so cool and fun! I'm completely over my head just watching this video, but it's fun to see some of the extensive work that goes into making art like this. Great job!
I'm actually using AnimaShooter for shooting (not expensive at all, but there's a free version too) and Hitfilm Express free for editing. I would recommend the PicPac app for android phones and tablets shooting (suggest a remote bluetooth shooting control, in this case)
Great video! Quick question though...the newest version of Final Cut for my Macbook is FCPX, and I'm wondering if it still has the green screen capability. (since I've never seen it on there) You can probably tell by my profile that I make AGSMs, and I'm planning on getting a green screen soon so I can make some huge projects I've come up with. I animate in the Stop Motion Studio Pro app on iPad, and then edit what I can't do in SMS to the footage in Final Cut. I'm just wondering where to get to the green screen settings in FC or if I'm going to need a whole other software. Thanks!
Nice tutorial as always. But would rods or wire attachments work for every kind of puppet? And if my puppet is relatively big could there be a risk of it falling or snapping off from their wire support?
Great piece - I'd add that using After Effect's frame blending and motion blur can add a tremendous amount of realism and production value to one's work!
How do you do that one effect where its like a moving scribbled up jumble on your eyes. IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN this is the best I could do. Does anyone know what its called?
That's basically just something you have to avoid. If it has just a little, like blue eyes on a blue screen, I've fixed it in After Effects, by creating a duplicate layer with just eyes (everything else masked out) without the blue screen filter applied. But that can get to be a lot of work.
If you mean larger props and sets, it just means a larger greenscreen. I bought real greenscreen material that can cover a wall, and have even painted a wall (for freelance live action as well as stop motion). The trick with more complex setups is to make sure that the greenscreen is lit evenly and isn't getting shadows. The greenscreen gets its own lights, and you try to light the set without spilling additional light onto the screen.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but if you are asking what to do when you put a green object in front of a green screen, that's when you switch it to a blue screen.
I've gotten elements like that from so may sources over the years that I don't remember. It was probably from a stock footage source. There is similar on youTube if you search for steam element greenscreen.
There's not really much to shine a light on. I edit in Premiere Pro, using royalty free music. Sound effects come from my old CD collection, sound effects sites, and youTube. Using such varied sources, I can't say I put a lot of thought into a consistent "design" for a video beyond the decision of just how cartoony the effects will be.
Hi Michael Parks! I very like your tutorials! But i don't understand 95% of your videos. I so bad speak on English and understand it. And i want see in your videos subtitres on Russian language. Please help. Thank you)

It’s really annoying how we (Artists) don’t get enough credit for our work!
So true!
Viewers definitely have no idea how much work and talent is required.

I don't use FCPX, but I see that there is a green screen filter.
This was awesome info! Haven't even done my first stop motion video, but doing some research and appreciate the tips!

Very good!!!!!
Another helpful tutorial, thank you!
What app are you using for stop motion
How can I make shadows in the green screen for the puppets to feel more real (because how you animated the puppets they looked fake)
Rubiks Studios they’re not supposed to look real
Can you show us how to animate fire?
This is super awesome and entertaining :)
Cool video
Awesome thanks.
What do I do if the thing is animating has both green and blue on it?

bro, can u explain how to do a large scale figure green screen, like a highway car chase?
If you mean larger props and sets, it just means a larger greenscreen. I bought real greenscreen material that can cover a wall, and have even painted a wall (for freelance live action as well as stop motion). The trick with more complex setups is to make sure that the greenscreen is lit evenly and isn't getting shadows. this helped me a lot thanks
How do u get the green object in the green screen still that's been really annoying

I love these tutorials there the best just wanted to ask where did you get that steam effect ?

I haven’t seen a video from you in years
do you have a tutorial on using after effects for green screen
I haven't made one, but I see there are several on youTube already that would have the same workflow as a greenscreen stop motion shot.
That was after effects you did it with weren’t it
@@coolvibesreloaded7946 Yes, that's after effects I'm using.
Q: how to you move it?? Can you move it with kinemaster?
I haven't tried that app, but it looks like it would work since layers can be animated.
Michael Parks ok thanks! 😊
Nice!
Saludos cordiales desde la república dominicana 🇩🇴 Bendiciones excelente tus vídeo me An ayudando mucho gracia
Nice how to.
Any chance you could shed light on sound design in your animations?

Thanks for your response! Guess it's all about just finding the right resources.
thanks for the info!
I like Davinci Resolve.
