*Small warning to anyone using epoxy putty. Letting the epoxy putty dry on bare skin can be very damaging to the pours of your skin. It's recommended epoxy be kneaded and applied while wearing gloves.
Also, ventilation is recommended. If you can smell it, then you're not ventilated enough. Last time I molded epoxy, I did it outside but also used gloves that were too big, lol.
You should know that you can make your own baking clay super easily! I made an armature with the homemade stuff just yesterday and it turned out great! Here's the recipe: Ingredients: 2 Cups flour 1/2 cup table salt 1/2 cup water Stir all the ingredients in to a mixing bowl, pouring an extra 1/2 cup of water in to the bowl gradually. When mostly mixed, begin kneading the clay until there are no clumps left. Mold into desired shapes, the bake for 15-30 minutes at 250°. Voila!
That was so interesting. I'm not necessarily going to do stop animation, but I might just make a puppets because your instructions are so easy to follow.
its cool that you are being so interactive. i honestly expected you to be way more of the quite type like a friend of mine who never does commentary but is an amazing editor. good for you :) glad you are being so vocal.
Am I the only one who is watching this out of sheer curiosity and enjoying his commentary and demonstrations? (and I like his sense of humor. He's funny!) :D
You're such a precious human being, these tutorial are not only creative and helpful but also really fun to watch! :D Love your sense of humor. You're great, keep up the good work!
I remember watching this video the day it was uploaded. I mainly watched because it was interesting to me, but it had no real use for me at the time. I was in high school then. Fast forward to now and here I am in my college art class revisiting this video to help me make characters and figures for my assignments. Thank you for these guides Cran! ❤
Okay, the second you said the words "flip-floppy plushy," I got a picture of you and the felt puppet Mark flopping around just like that. That was a fun mental image.
I subscribed because you are special, because you think your style of animation is fun, and you share it... All the other animators don't because of UA-cam competition, you are truly special, truly.
Some tutorials are boring and I just skip it. But the way you present step by step is both informative and hilarious! Keep up the good work! I LOVE YOU!
i have to say, ive taken college classes in stop motion animation and your guides are the most clear, fun, and simple tutorials i have ever seen! go you!
I’m starting up animation and I saw this video and I had all the stuff I needed! Even the strong wire, You’re the best and you’ll always be! Thank you!!
Even if i don't plan on utilising this tutorial It's really neat to get some insight into your process and you keep the video interesting with your sense of humor.
Thanks so much for doing these guide videos! I was thinking about doing stop motion animation and then I found you! I ordered all the materials for the puppet and today there coming I'm so excited to make the little puppets! Thanks Cranbersher!
Yay, you're not like one of those cheery people who get their tutorial videos done as quick as possible while being flawless, YOU'VE ACTUALLY ENTERTAINED ME! ^^
Your work is EXTRODINARY! It must take so so long to do! I use to think that animations were so small but now i know that it takes time. A lot of time. You are very talented and i look up to you heaps!!
I wasn't even interested in learning how to make one I just watched it bcs you're so cute and this is so funnY???? Like wow ok your voice is calming af
a note, spiralling the wire makes it stronger in two ways, by doubling it, and work hardening it... work hardening it also makes it more brittle and not as great at bending.
Just found your channel, haven't even watched many videos yet, already really like your vids, already really like your voice, already an obsessed fan, already want to make stop motion videos, already staying up at 2am to watch more vids, did I mention already an obsessed fan already? Already...
Its alittle more cranberries to learn from ya, mostly fun and a bit inspiring as well with a touch of funny. I look forward to the next vid cranbershur
Just a tip, if your puppet's feet have threaded nuts in them, and the table has a threaded nut, you can just use a bolt to quickly screw up into the feet from beneath the table, and because the table is threaded as well, the puppet won't budge.
I have been wanting to make a stop motion puppet for quite a while now but didn't have the information I needed. Thank you for the funny video that also helped me out! Keep being awesome your an amazing youtuber!
That was amazing! Thank you for making this, you're also very funny! Looking forward to the rest, even if I don't end up making one it's still fun to watch xD
God dammit, I'm trying to listen really hard to what he is saying but then he comes out with some goofy shit that makes me laugh so then I lose focus! XD
This was so interesting, just because of your process; really entertaining ( : I probably have all the tools (minus the clay) for a tiny being kicking around my art room or my tack room, really tempted to give it a try xD Can't wait to see your next step!
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial, your work has inspired me to create my own animation....but I haven't gotten around to doing it tho so Yh I might need to get going...
I'm not entirely sure of the exact prices, but a completed puppet would probably cost around 30 dollars. Felt is incredibly cheap and so are things like well nuts. The most expensive thing (besides the tools like a drill and hot glue gun) would probably be the baking clay depending on how much you get.
"Just as a reminder, I am not a professional." You are now! Oh man it's so nostalgic revisiting these older videos.
yeah you can say that again!! :,) he's come so far
*Small warning to anyone using epoxy putty. Letting the epoxy putty dry on bare skin can be very damaging to the pours of your skin. It's recommended epoxy be kneaded and applied while wearing gloves.
Bingk Martain Yes this is a much better idea.
+Cranbersher ...face,huh? What about the eyes and the mouth?
Bingk Martain I learned this the hard way my hand have never bin so dry
Thanks for the advice
Also, ventilation is recommended. If you can smell it, then you're not ventilated enough. Last time I molded epoxy, I did it outside but also used gloves that were too big, lol.
Your sense of humor is gold
It's funny until he starts mumbling entire sentences. If humor depends on itself not being heard, it's inherently flawed.
You should know that you can make your own baking clay super easily! I made an armature with the homemade stuff just yesterday and it turned out great! Here's the recipe:

Oooh Awesome!
+Cranbersher Can i use something instead of Exposy Putty? (sorry for my Bad english,i'm german)
+Keksgirl Keks From my experience, the baking clay works just fine. With that said, epoxy putty probably works better, but clay will work. :)
Angela Pritchard OK,thanks! c:
Sweet thnx
I love how his voice tone changes along the video.
It's hypnotizing
I KEEP WANTING TO WIPE AWAY THAT SPECK IN THE CORNER HALP OLIVER
Thank you. Now I can't unsee it. Thank you so very much.
+markiplierSINGSb.a.d.l.y. The amount of OCD is overwhelming.
No offense.
The one next to the glue gun?
Your voice makes me happy
The cryaotic vibe is strong with this one
That was so interesting. I'm not necessarily going to do stop animation, but I might just make a puppets because your instructions are so easy to follow.
I wanna make one, not for stop motion, just to keep lol
+Arfully Disastrous Hello!
its cool that you are being so interactive.
i honestly expected you to be way more of the quite type like a friend of mine who never does commentary but is an amazing editor.

+Cranbersher How much does it cost for the items?
