Its debatable that Beast form is a Super Saiyan transformation at all, as it seems to be more of an extension of Gohan's Ultimate Mystic form than his Super Saiyan 2 form. Furthermore in Xenoverse 2, which is made in association with the companies that own the Dragonball IP, Beast form is unlockable and usable by any race. Its shown in Super Hero that Gohan powers up past his SS forms into his Mystic form, and he's in his Mystic form when he unleashes Beast form. I haven't found an official answer, but based on the evidence I don't consider Beast to be part of the Super Saiyan lineage.

If Cell Max was finished he would actually be as good as the Gammas, since him being finished he would have the program that doctor Hedo created installed in him. So sadly there wouldn’t be any fight like this, but he would be a good addition to the super powerful members of the team. Especially since by the time he is released, Gohan’s groups and Dr. Hedo’s group would already have become Allie’s against the Red Ribbon army.
Why? The characters haven't interacted with each other for us to see the relativity. Broly only fought Goku and Vegeta. Cell Max only fought Piccolo and Gohan. So we don't know.
Honestly I'm kinda glad he wasn't made perfect, solely because it helped keep this fight from just retreading old territory like they did in Super, like Vegeta's "sacrifice" in the TOP.
Yeah, I didn't like that moment in the TOP, but at this point, if they're going to rehash Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, I wouldn't have minded it just making Cell Max an actual character like the OG. Then again, it's a movie so I see why they didn't do that.

I still say they could feasibly have a scene or a page from the manga showing Cell Max regenerate into his perfect form and look at himself saying "hmm" indicating he has a mind to drive this newly regenerated body. Hell, you could do it one step further and show Cell in hell disappearing indicating that Cell was reincarnated into Cell Max.
The closest thing to the original Cell is the surviving Cell Jr's, that Android 17 tamed in the Manga. I kinda wonder how he created Cell Max to begin with since Gero's lab and data was assumed destroyed?

In the manga, Beast Gohan HAD to have help fighting Cell max. So a manga varient of Perfect Cell Max would wipe the floor with them, considering the boost in power from Semi Perfect Cell to Perfect Cell in the Cell Saga. I know its not the same but even HALF that boost in power would be like.. 5x.
my biggest problem with Super Hero was how Magenta was able to convince Hedo that Cell was a hero fighting to save mankind. like bruh Cell went on live TV, killed the staff on camera, said he’d blow up the earth if nobody showed up to the Cell games, and then blew up the city he was in. that was ALL ON CAMERA

Cell Max should be capable of the same techniques as the previous one. Being smarter is a massive upside, as Max didn't even use half of the moves he was capable of.

The problem is, that's open to interpretation. It could have just meant that Cell Max would have oneshotted everyone before Gohan was hyped up enough to have a chance to transform into Beast. The fact that Cell Max couldn't even punch through Gohan Beast's aura makes me think the power gap is absolutely insane and Gohan would no diff any version of cell Max.

Mastery over ssj made them alot stronger. Fat Buu = Buff super buu but he cant use all his power. but technically all the buus = Grand supreme kai who beat moro, they just dont know how to use their power. Mastery over blue made it hella stronger. Mastery over UI made it hella stronger. Frieza went from RoF blue tier to ToP blue tier by simply mastering his ki more. Kale grew stronger when she controlled the FPSSJ state. Jiren was stated to be not much stronger then blue, he just had a insane mastery over his ki. meaning that goku and vegeta at blue if they had that level of mastery could contend with their normal UI and UE counterparts. Mastery and control over ones power making one more powerful has been a thing since Z, hell maybe even Ball. Toriyama stating that broly would lose if he was perfected is just further evidence that he would grow stronger. because a perfected version would beat broly, while the current state version would lose.

Not even broly would be able to beat him if he had his mind. This implies broly is stronger then the cell without a proper brain. Ki control or intelligence and ability to fully utilize ones power has always made people stronger without gaining a higher power level. 10,000 vs 10,000 but one can't use it's power properly and he other can, the later would absolutely wreck the other. We see this with Vegeta on yardrat gaining much stronger ki attacks through his training, but was stated to not have gained any actual power, he was just able to use it more effectively, thus giving him a power boost.
Cell max with a brain is really good because he has a strategy and could think to make clones of himself that still are the same as him without draining energy

I enjoy the fact Cell Max didn’t absorb the Gammas, or was even designed to. Hedo, while was incredibly gifted in robotics, definitely didn’t take his building style after Gero. He probably saw Gero’s style of “I’ll build 3 inferior androids, and one will absorb the other 2 and become a super android!” And thought “that’s dumb. Why not just build 3 great androids?”

I could be wrong, but I just watched the English dub and it gave some interesting context about Cell Max and the androids in general. The Gammas make it clear that while they can run on max power at all times their batteries will eventually run out, unlike A17/18 who have perfect batteries with infinite energy. Likewise Magenta and hedo seem to imply that the reason Cell Max is in his semi-perfect form is because they don't actually know how to get him to perfect. It sounds like Geros files didn't mention that Cell needs the androids perfected batteries to achieve full power, the fact that they don't even mention 17 or 18 despite having all info on the Z fighters seems to confirm this.

The problem is, that's open to interpretation. It could have just meant that Cell Max would have oneshotted everyone before Gohan was hyped up enough to have a chance to transform into Beast. The fact that Cell Max couldn't even punch through Gohan Beast's aura makes me think the power gap is absolutely insane and Gohan would no diff any version of cell Max.

How do so many people think Cell Max wasn’t “perfect”. Hedo REPEATEDLY states in the movie that Cell Max was complete, all that was missing was a way to control him.
We all know it’s coping because they chose the worst cell form to bring back and slapped a Christmas filter on him. Plus, they didn’t even give us the cell charm we all loved, so it’s just sort of spitting in our face.
If you read the manga you remember that when his inner nature was released he grew powerful but he became much more powerful when he was able to use his mind. He is perfect but intelligence.
In the movie I hoped he would regain his mind in the fight and learn his past but it’s whatever

It's a bit hard to tell but I believe Gogeta could slap him, mid diff. Broly was stated to be the strongest mortal; second to none in the promo material. It's the same in the manga, so technically Perfect Cell Max is stronger than UI Goku, UE Vegeta due to being stronger than Broly. So I see Gogeta at least needing Blue.

i think Gohan would still be able to take him on and win, seeing that Cell Max couldn’t even make him flinch and as far as Hedo tells us, the only thing missing from Cell Max was a mind to control his power, so even if he were perfect there’d still be an enormous power gap with Gohan.
Mastery over ssj made them alot stronger.
Fat Buu = Buff super buu but he cant use all his power. but technically all the buus = Grand supreme kai who beat moro, they just dont know how to use their power.
Mastery over blue made it hella stronger.

Frieza went from RoF blue tier to ToP blue tier by simply mastering his ki more.
Kale grew stronger when she controlled the FPSSJ state.
Jiren was stated to be not much stronger then blue, he just had a insane mastery over his ki. meaning that goku and vegeta at blue if they had that level of mastery could contend with their normal UI and UE counterparts.
Mastery and control over ones power making one more powerful has been a thing since Z, hell maybe even Ball. Toriyama stating that broly would lose if he was perfected is just further evidence that he would grow stronger. because a perfected version would beat broly, while the current state version would lose.

Ki control is vary much a thing that's related to ones mind, it's the ability to use ones power. Being able to use ones power means nothing if you are not trying to master it. Yes a mind would give cell more control over his ki and power thus making him stronger just as it did for Kale.
Fuck sakes even Toriyamas statements imply this. Not even broly would be able to beat him if he had his mind. This implies broly is stronger then the cell without a proper brain.
Ki control or intelligence and ability to fully utilize ones power has always made people stronger without gaining a higher power level. 10,000 vs 10,000 but one can't use it's power properly and he other can, the later would absolutely wreck the other. We see this with Vegeta on yardrat gaining much stronger ki attacks through his training, but was stated to not have gained any actual power, he was just able to use it more effectively, thus giving him a power boost.
Cell max with a brain is really good because he has a strategy and could think to make clones of himself that still are the same as him without draining energy

I enjoy the fact Cell Max didn’t absorb the Gammas, or was even designed to. Hedo, while was incredibly gifted in robotics, definitely didn’t take his building style after Gero. He probably saw Gero’s style of “I’ll build 3 inferior androids, and one will absorb the other 2 and become a super android!” And thought “that’s dumb. Why not just build 3 great androids?”

I could be wrong, but I just watched the English dub and it gave some interesting context about Cell Max and the androids in general. The Gammas make it clear that while they can run on max power at all times their batteries will eventually run out, unlike A17/18 who have perfect batteries with infinite energy.
Likewise Magenta and hedo seem to imply that the reason Cell Max is in his semi-perfect form is because they don't actually know how to get him to perfect. It sounds like Geros files didn't mention that Cell needs the androids perfected batteries to achieve full power, the fact that they don't even mention 17 or 18 despite having all info on the Z fighters seems to confirm this.
