Thank you Bishop Ambo for this homily your enrichment made us understand clearly that protecting our credibility as a child of God is our right that no man can trampled it so we must be confident enought to stand for it in a friendly way and allow one's conscience work for it. What is right will be retained and what is wrong will stand to be corrected and made fair for all maybe a state duty. Law of the Land is for the State and Religion is for the Church. The President is the head of the state while God is the Head of the Church with the Pope as the Visible Head (Holy See in the catholic religion- subject for correction if wrong term was used). Therefore there must be a separation of the State and Religion .The Religion has still the right to oversee or intervene the state for not all officials are Godly and there might be decisions in the making of decrees and others that will led to the destruction of the government and the land (natural resources)that will affect one's life or the life of the people in general. Therefore in a nation or a state religion must be given emphasis for consultation or referrals before a mandate is approved to ensure that laws made are for the good of humanity. The Church is God with man while the State is composed of man with dìfferent religion

"Give to Duterte what is Duterte's and to God what is God's." Now interprete this your own way based on Bishop's Ambos homily. Thanks for this very enriching homily Bishop.

Though I've heard this gospel many times, I have never heard a more exhaustive analysis of the origin of words, political nusnces that our own leaders are similar to & referring to our own souls as the other half of allegiance suggested in the Roman coin. Just saying "sounds familiar", Bishop Ambo insinuates that our gov't is to China now as Israel was to Rome in Jesus's time. Good bless & love you, Bishop Ambo! 🙏🙋❤

The teaching of Christ was new or innovative to the Pharisees. In their lack of faith, so, they thought how he could be trapped. They still wanted to harm the Lord. He means two roles. We have recognition and responsibilities to our government and in the Church of God. If we have faith, we can easily see that our government has been appointed by God to govern our country. May obligasyon ang isa't Isa ngunit may separation of the church and state. Dito po tayo nagkakaproblema pagdating sa separation of thechurch and state.
