Russell Weiner looks and acts like someone I imagine drinks a bunch of energy drinks
He looks like a total douche bag.
You should have seen the ex-CEO for BANG. Dude was the epitome of that statement.
I cant stand him.
Nail-on-head, yes.
An effective marketing strategy, no?
I love rockstars! i have a 6 pack every day, my skin has a yellow tint but they are delicious!

MTV yes.. that’s kinda a crazy story, I heard about this one
Aldi's nuts slapping your wife's face
I honestly see see more Rockstars around than Monsters in Canada.
Rockstar's are usually 3 for $7. Monsters are usually 2 for $7. Rockstars often have 20mg more caffeine too. And more sugar-free flavours.
That's because no one buys them 🤷♂
Personally Rockstar kicks in longer n stronger for some reason lol

I first learned about Rockstar Energy back in 2001, when I stopped by a liquor store in Simi Valley, CA on my way back to L.A. and saw the cans and the ridiculously low price. It tasted so good, I went back a week later and bought a whole 24-can case. At the same time, the store owner recommended Ketel One as a mixer, and that's been my go-to vodka ever since.
No way!! I didn’t know the GTA devs made energy drinks.
🤣
Nice 😂
They had to be doing something in the years it is taking them to launch GTA6
Ah yes, Rockstar Games Energy. Love it.
They actually have a mutual agreement, that they will not have any problems with each other as long as Rockstar Energy doesn’t start making video games, and Rockstar Games doesn’t start making energy drinks.
Who else remembers what Pepsi took from us in 2020? They changed the formula on us and tried to say it was the original one until we uproared and they started selling the “throwback” flavor which is the actual OG we fell in love with
No joke! 💯
Ah, no that was coke that changed their formula and after huge losses came crack with the old formula
I felt like the OG one they did wasn't the same. But either way I can't find it at my local Costco or Sam's
Are you talking about like back in the early 2000s?
I feel like this is a bot trying to rewrite history on the internet
That logo design was fantastic and the way the words go up the can (instead of across) alongside the star made it very eye catching.
Rockstar used to be my favorite energy drink brand, but for whatever reason, all the supermarkets around this area stopped selling it about 2 years ago.
I thought they went bankrupt or something and am surprised to hear that the brand still exists.
Has to do with PepsiCo merchandisers / Sales reps. You’d be surprised how much coke/pepsico control your beverages
That is about when Pepsi bought them. Pepsi changed the formulas and they taste like **** now. They were not great before, but they had a crisp taste that did not linger or have a flimy texture.
Rockstar was my go to for the few years my heart could handle energy drinks.
I work for a vending company and i had our warehouse manager try the whipped strawberry rockstar, she liked it, we had to get rid of a few energy drinks and i was told that we'd be getting that flavor in. Its been a big hit any market or vending machine i put it in.
Shoot, even the name sounds interesting. Now I want to try some...
That’s my favorite rockstar flavor!
I have a few accounts that empty out 3 rows of whipped strawberry in their machine every week, but don't touch the originals. And then others that are the complete opposite. Really weird how it works.
It's really good. My personal favorite of the Sugary Rockstars is the new Strawberry Peach one. It's delicious. I normally drink a Lemonade Rockstar Recovery in the morning.
My favorite is the old orange and lemonade flavors. I think they changed the recipe a while ago, so it's not as good anymore but I still like those flavors the best
Rockstar is actually my preferred brand of energy drink. Specifically, the fruit punch flavor is really good.
I hate it.
Fruit punch Rockstar is delicious
Make a video on Celsius and Bang.
I love Celsius
A Bang video would be interesting. It's parent company making redline, and the recent monster lawsuit that bankrupt them, allowing them to be gobbled up by monster
A non-business channel i followed covered Bang mostly bc the CEO was so extravagant. It is an interesting start-up
@@zedvids Jack is a South Florida Legend! Great Man!
@@ceciliacarrillo6923 I feel like they just came out of nowhere, having Pepsi buy them out makes sense.
Rockstar makes the only super high-potency (300mg caffeine) energy drink that actually tastes decent. Their Xdurance line is my go-to for "too much work on too short a deadline" days at the office.
I like the 300mg reign energy rainbow sherbert flavor, but I had to cool it with caffeine
300? Jesus...
@@preciadoalex123 When I worked a "50 hours of work in a 40 hour week" job before the pandemic, I used to drink two of them every day. I'm one of the few people who was actually THRILLED when lockdowns and layoffs happened, because it gave my life a giant reset button.
But that's a story for another day; my point is that if you're gonna OD on caffeine on the regular, you should at least enjoy the beverage you're drinking to get your fix.
Lol I wish I only worked 50hrs a week instead of my normal 84 hrs a week, and only on one cup of coffee each morning
@@danschmidt1 There's an alternate universe where I went for the Big Four accounting/CPA/corporate raider track out of college and took the 84-hr-a-week job.
I'd like to say I am very rich in that parallel universe, but I'm pretty sure that version of me died either of a heart attack or a self-inflicted nine-millimeter power lunch.
Deciding to go with a "work-life balance uber alles" mentality (as I mentioned, I packed that 50 hours' worth of work into a stock-standard 40-hour workweek, and the corollary to that was that I left all my stresses at the office the moment I cleared the threshold of the front door of the building at 4:30) quite possibly saved my life.
And nowadays, I don't work there anymore. I horse-traded my way into a take-it-easy paid-to-watch-UA-cam job that pays twice as much, which I've been in since 2022.
I recommend it. There's more to life than money.
Rockstar has always been the "RC Cola of Energy Drinks". The uncool 3rd choice if Red Bull and Monster aren't available. My favorite was actually Full Throttle or NOS.
Full Throttle is underrated. I've heard people describe it as tasting like "liquid gummy bears".
Love me some Full throttle, also my #1. It's getting harder to find in stores.
Full Throttle and NOS are my favorites but I also buy rockstar because of how cheap it is $5 for 4 rockstars
I hate them.
I was in high school when Rockstar was gaining popularity and coming out with various flavors. I wasn't interested in energy drinks at the time. But one of my classmates had an extra that was kinda grape flavored, and offered it to me.
It was so good! And I've never been able to find it again since.
If you live in Canada. Dollorama sells the grape flavor rockstar
@@peterkaniuk8909 I live in diet Canada. Also known as Alaska.
Battle of the Energy Drinks!
There was a rally race on logging roads in Washington State years ago with the top 4 cars each sponsored by a different drink:
-:Red Bull (Travis Pastrana)
- Monster (Ken Block)
- NOS (?)
-:Rockstar (Tanner Foust)
Funny situation.
Drinks really had their targets on people who walk endlessly in the forest to catch a race car flying by for a few seconds.
For similar brands/products that might be worth your attention, I’d recommend Celsius (which you mentioned in passing) and Olipop. In my experience with retail, I’ve noticed both of those products enjoy a surge in popularity within the past couple of years - especially with the up-and-coming adolescent and young adult population - which might indicate a paradigm shift toward unconventional yet “healthier” beverage concepts.
Love that stuff. 20 years ago I was drinking one almost everyday but I know it’s not good for you so I cut it down to one per week and did that for years. Now I only drink one a month and I’m fine with that.
The store down the way had a buy one get one free on the rockstar drink, I was very much addicted
I love whenever you post it’s always at the top of my algorithm waiting for me to consume it love the content keep making these!

Rockstar has always been my favorite energy drink.
This is my first time ever watching a company man video after Wednesday. Boy am I late.
Just glad you made it.
Redbull gave me stitches in my head in 1999. Rockstar was always my 2nd choice when I was younger and a drinker.
Since quitting alcohol, I don't drink any "energy" drinks. Just black coffee.
what you mean stitches in your head?
@@testing6753 Probably from when the inevitable wing detachment happened mid-flight.
I don't drink any "energy drinks" but this is a great video on how one company rocketed almost to the top
I love Rockstar. My personal favorite energy drink.
I hate it.
All I know about Rockstar is that once in 2015, when I was still in university, I had pulled an all-nighter to study for an exam so I went to the small shop nearby and bought one. I normally would have gotten Monster or Red Bull but Rockstar was surprisingly all they sold in terms of energy drinks. I downed it before my exam, and went home to rest since I didn't have any more stuff to revise. It's worth noting that I do have a caffeine tolerance - I am still a regular coffee (espresso) drinker and drank way more black tea than is considered healthy for a teenage girl. I spent my time pacing my apartment until 2AM feeling like I was on drugs and I could NOT lay down. It was like my skeleton wanted to escape my skin. Never drank Rockstar again lol.
Although Rip it was my first energy drink, Rockstar Energy is still my #1 go to. Something about that flavor is just right for me. Second place was Monster Extra strength Black ice but that was retired long ago lmao
Rockstar Silver Ice will always be my favorite energy drink!
Original sugar free white can rockstar has been my go too for ages.
Ah come on the OG with sugar is gross enough
@@willissudweeks1050 I had the og at work the other day as it was the only option for energy drinks and it was fucking disgusting
It's the best
Yes! That flavor... rocks.
In my high school, the Monster Energy decals were on the lifted diesel trucks, and the Rockstar decals were on the hellcats. I’m a redbull guy and drive a hybrid
I began drinking energy drinks in 2021 when I was put on a graveyard shift, tried different brands and my favorite was Monster followed by Red Bull, only tried Rockstar once and hated it. Co-workers kept on nagging me throughout the years about the energy drinks been a hazard to the organs so I tried out Celcius and ended up loving it and it was also co-worker approved.
The occasional time I have an energy drink, it's usually Rockstar.
I like Rockstar a lot. Amp was my favorite energy drink because I loved all their flavors but then it went away for a while and now, at least where I’m at, you can only ever find the original flavor.
Red Bull is my energy drink of choice, but I do really enjoy rockstar. When I was in high school, our cafeteria only sold rockstar as the energy drink option, and I got really
I like to eat apple
All that sugar will eat your teeth
That's good, Alexander Hamilton!
Thank you for the US Constitution!
Liar
real.
The craziest thing about rockstar is they don’t even their best flavors over in the states.
The flavor is called punched guava and it’s actually the best energy drink I’ve ever had in my life but you can only order it online from Europe or Australia.
There’s one that I love that they DO make here. It’s like guava strawberry mango?? Zero sugar tho but that’s my favorite
Out of the 3, Rockstar is my energy drink of choice.
Agreed.
1. Tastes better than Red Bull
2. Less Expensive than Monster
Rockstar tastes like cold medicine to me.
I respect your opinion. I’m more of a monster guy, but Rockstar isn’t bad.
@@FinestCitizen the one I like is called Rockstar Recovery and it’s a lemonade flavor, it’s pretty refreshing and a little lower on the caffeine than a normal Rockstar.
My favorite energy drink by far is rockstar guava lol
Used to drink rockstar roasted as a teenager, couldn't fond it for years so monster it is for me now. RIP rockstar roasted, you will be missed.
First energy drink i had was a Rockstar. Was working in the warehouse at Canadian Tire, and went across the parking lot to Zellers on my break, and the rest is history.
Rockstar has been my preferred energy drink for many years. Fruit punch or the Recovery series in particular.
I miss the Rockstar sponsored mayhem metal festival. I nearly died numerous times. It was always on the hottest day of summer, with a line wrapped around buildings for the water fountains. And they gave out free Rockstar energy. I must've drank 8 of the whipped strawberry testers
That was a great festival. Walked in and a motocross bike flew over my head as I was entering the second stage with Mitch Lucker going nuts.
I’d love a video on Jagex! Very interesting history and a good rise/fall and rise again! Love your videos, never miss an upload
Purple rockstar on 4hrs of sleep 😘🔥🫡
I used to drink the sugar free marshmallow energy drinks of Rockstar, in my college campus. I loved them so much, I wish Rockstar could bring them back. Nowadays I’m not a huge Rockstar drinker, but I’d usually go for a sugar free option.
MARSHMALLOW!?!? 🤩
I always liked their flavours, sure as hell was the first pick for uni!
Original Rockstar taste really nasty but the fruit punch flavor is one of the best energy drinks out there.
I like rockstar energy drink. Love this see a video on NOS energy drink.
I used to exclusively drink Rockstar, back when I was pretending to be one. XD
My current favs are Full Throttle, Monster's Aussie Lemonade, and some of Red Bulls flavored drinks like Juneberry.
I use to pick up a sugar free white rockstar energy drink every morning before school. It was such a highlight. Now that I'm older I switched to a white powder form to feel even more like a rockstar. Way more of a kick.
I loved the lethal weapon reference! 👏👍
The only time I ever drank Rockstar was when they had the Piná Colada one.
I am such a big Michael Savage fan, he has such a great story being the son of a first generation immigrant. Just think two generations after arriving in America the family has billions of dollars.
When I was habitually drinking energy drinks, Rockstar was one of my favorites because the flavor is predominantly guarana. Lots of energy drinks contain it, but most don't let it stand as the main flavor.
I try not to drink those energy drinks. I mean sometimes if a job goes long or I need to drive somewhere at the end of the day. Comes in handy, but man the jitters and energy hit can be sharp, and sometimes makes it tough to sleep at night.
Energy drinks in general. Can’t say I’ve ever had rockstar.
Cool video. Thanks for sharing!
Rockstar gives me wings.
I forgot about Rockstar, I used to see them everywhere about 10 years ago, but in recent years I just never see it in grocery stores anymore, Its all just Red Bull and Monster now, though I usually go for one called "Relentless" if I am buying an energy drink, but they are much harder to find.
I got introduced to Rockstar Energy drinks when I went to the Rockstar sponsored Mayhem festival in 2009. I got a few free samples of the Punched flavor at the Rockstar tent. I'll still drink the Punched flavor every once in a while.
Like the video do one on Celsius and also on bang energy drink as well!
Rockstar has had some banger flavors. I love the zero carb and whipped strawberry. I miss killer black cherry! Lime freeze was good too but it just needed some tequila.
I started drinking Monster in 2004. For the next year people would keep asking me “what is that?” During that same period absolutely no one was saying that about Rockstar. It was safe to say that in this region (west Georgia), Rockstar was the more-recognized brand back then.
i used to love rockstar when they did all their fruit based flavors. now they make only their regular flavors, or at least only distribute their regular flavors. i end up with NOS most of the time now.
When I was in Arizona in 2015 rockstar had an Horchata flavored energy drink and it was delicious. I was afraid I’d never see it again so when I left Arizona in 2016, I took a case with me to my next location and I have never seen it since..
Hay everybody company man on the 12th is his 7 year anniversary. Hey company man I save your videos in my email every year since year 4.
Great video!
Rock Star is the RC Cola of energy drinks.
I first heard about this drink in an obscure, underrated Xbox game from 2002 called Deathrow.
I love Bangs root beer, i didnt realize it was am energy drink, too.
Rockstar punched is the best tasting energy drink
I used to drink sugar free Rockstar a lot while studying for SATs. Now i do sugar free red bull once in a blue moon.
The sugar free Red Bull was my favorite, before the coconut blueberry came out. However during nursing school I drank the original rockstar everyday lol it was always cheaper then the other by a long shot way more bang for you buck so to speak
And just plain ol regular drugs in the meantime
People who call out the ligma community deserve praise, not boycotting.
rockstar, my beloved
Good info!
Rockstar, has always been a little too sweet for me. I don't drink any pop, and for energy drinks I go with NOS or Monster . However I sometimes go months without them as well. Milk is my drink of choice, and after it is hot tea.
Full throttle is atill my favorite
Rockstar is easily one of the best
Of the three big energy drinks Monster, Red Bull, and Rockstar, I prefer the taste of RR and will always buy it if given the choice. I had no idea it was part of Pepsico.
For me, Blue Agave Full Throttle is still the best-tasting energy drink I've had. Too bad I can't find it anywhere in TX.
Great video.
In the uk we have many energy drink brands, like Boost, Emerge and Tyson Fury, so there's a lot of smaller options, that being said, Monster and Red Bull are still 2 of the largest. All of the supermarkets also have their own though, so there's an option for all budgets.
GREAT SCOTT!
Sobe is short for South Beach. I just this moment got that.
Well that's funny I didn't know he had anything to do with Michael Savage I absolutely love that guy and he is a Savage he's awesome
I miss rockstars cola. The rockstar cola was my fave back in the day!
Tanner Foust is awesome!
Fond memories of 2011 and 2012 being stationed on an aircraft carrier and one machine on the entire ship having Rockstar Recovery lemonade - to my mind, Red Bull was for that mid-day power jolt, Recovery was non-carbonated and a bit gentler to start the day with. To this day I've never tried mainline Rockstar, only because it's not available in multi-can packs where I am now.
Always been my fave
I think Rockstar's draw back is flavor. They play it safe, standard flavors similar to competition.
Monster has some unique options pasific punch coconut ect...
One man's "play it safe" is another man's "got it right the first time."
Out of the big 3 Rockstar is my favorite, just because I like to stick it to trends and the man. 😂😂😂
For me, it's all about that Aldi's Gridlock Energy. 80 cents a can!
The original Rockstar can design had a Las Vegas address on it which i thought was so neat living there at the time. Good times 😎
I started drinking Rockstar in 2009. It dipped in popularity, and later on they changed the recipe, that was it for me. I drink Monster now (once a week)
I'd like to see a Hilton vs Marriott and a MGM vs Caesars video.
Rockstar is my preferred choice

You're videos are always entertaining, and very informative at the same time.
I need to get back to watching you.
i really like rockstar due of the flavors they have. monster does have a few but not like rockstar. i like the punch, the limited volt black cherry, the sugar free drinks. now they have a mini energy drinks which is good if i don't feel like drinking a hole 16oz or i just need a little kick to start my day. and it reasonable affordable
A Stanley (old thermos style) full of coffee keeps me going
When in college I used to drink 2 Rockstar energy drinks back to back and it made me feel drunk. Good times
