So to answer some common questions: -Super Nintendo World isn't a full theme park, but a small section of the Universal parks. -Universal allegedly wanted to use the Kremlings, but Nintendo said no -This land has been planned for years. Scale models of it already leaked way back in 2019. -Hollywood won't be getting Donkey Kong, but it is opening in Orlando on May 22th, 2025, as part of the new Epic Universe park. -Zelda is probably coming to replace Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure, Pokémon will likely replace both Simpsons in Universal Studios Florida and Spider-man in Universal Studios Japan -The DK ride is a rollercoaster that appears to jump the track. This works because of the brand new "Boom coaster" ride model. The vehicles are attached to a metal boom, which in turn is attached to the real track. The track the minecart appears to run over is a fake track to really sell the illusion. Shout out to Alicia Stella from Orlando Park Stop for correctly leaking so many things about SNW (and the Universal parks in general) in the past decade. Genuinely one of the most reliable and best sources for any news and rumors regarding Universal
@@azurewarrior2000 I have no intel/insight at all, but I can certainly confirm that it is not Tiki Kong-themed because of the upcoming release of Returns HD. If anything, I think the upcoming HD release is there to coincide with the opening of the theme park. If I had to guess, I think Nintendo just thought the Tiki tribe was the best fit for the park as they are both modern and fit the jungle theme.
I wonder how the fur on that mascot is going to look in five, seven or ten years. Or do you think they're going to replace that costume every few months?
Can't help but notice there's only Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong merchandise at the store. Really wish there'd be more there, like Cranky, Funky, and Dixie Kong. (at this point it feels too much to ask for King K. Rool merchandise)
There's strong rumors suggesting Epic Universe's first expansion once it's open will be a Luigi's Mansion attraction for Nintendo. Zelda is probably replacing Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure, and Pokemon will replace Simpsons in Universal Studios Florida.

The rumor is Zelda will be replacing The Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure orlando
I'll just wait until the one in Epic Universe opens up next year in 2025 🦍
I'm wondering if there's some goofy Rare copyright issue which is why the Tiki Tak tribe are default DK villains.
There isn’t.
It's likely Returns themed because of the upcoming Switch rerelease, Nintendo still retains the rights to everything Rare created for DK.
the rare villains have appeared in sports games, and IIRC K Rool in smash had no rare copyright or anything
There isn't. Rare owns nothing related to donkey Kong

Despite being inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario area in Super Nintendo World is actually called Super Mario Land™

The only thing I could see being after DK besides Zelda would be Luigi's Mansion.
Pokemon
I would love a Brinstar world, but that's not going to happen, is it?

@@GPXBrent I'm all for replacing the Simpsons, but I'd rather they brought back Back to the Future The Ride.
3D Donkey Kong game in the works confirmed.
Super Nintendo World’s Donkey Kong Country park looks amazing I don’t do theme parks but man incredible!
