Finished watching it. Fantastic stuff. I can relate to the switching opinion, as I used to find Adventure 2 just okay and I loved Adventure 1 the first time I went through it. Overtime though, the former became one of my favourite games to go back to on a regular basis, alongside Super Mario 64 and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. I still like Adventure 1 though, just not enough to play through the story mode again.
Played evey Sonic game day one from the beginning to SA2. SA1 on Dreamcast is still one of my favorite platformers of all time, the game despite its hiccups has love and heart put into it, the stages, the aesthetic, the Chao, VMU Chao mini games, the soundtrack, Sonics animation, exploring. Its a classic for me. SA2 is still really good and fun but i still prefer SA1 overall. Sonic still had good games after, Sonic Generations, Sonic Colors, Sonic Mania all solid Sonic games
Honestly i was as exited to watch this video as i am waiting the new trailer for the Game Awards tomorrow Absolutely nailed it my dude I gotta agree with a lot of stuff SA1 is one of the most important games in my life alongside Mario 64 but playing it as an adult i definitely started seeing the cracks, but i still love Sonic, Amy, the music, the story, Characters, the Mission Mode and the abundance of content to the point i can still enjoy it for what it is Meanwhile SA2 is my favorite game ever because mastering it's mechanics and levels to 100% completion is some of the most fun i have in a videogame For me there are 2 types of core Sonic gameplay - Toolboxes to play with the mechanics (Like Sonic 1, Adventure, Advance) - Quick Reflexes Obstacle Courses (Like Advance 2, The Boost and Rush games) For me Sonic is a his best when doing both, i think this is in Adventure 2, Heroes, 3&K, Manía, Generations and Advance 3 You said it best "Arcaidy" man that's the word SA2 brings me the adicction and satisfaction of an Arcade Game while being as complete and memorable as a Console Game Really great video
19:10-19:15 Actually, Michael from Retropolis Zone and Michael from ExoParadigmGamer noted that there were already glitches in the Dreamcast version, and I haven't heard anyone tell me if any new glitches weren't glitches you'd have to pull off on purpose.
Wow a new upload I already can tell by the thumbnail that you put effort into this it’s gonna be a banger for sure!!!(edit) well I just finished watching this and it was a banger (obviously) and I can agree with many things you said as at first i wasn’t the biggest fan of adventure 2 even though now it’s one of my favorite sonic games but unlike other early 3d platformers like Mario 64 or crash bandicoot I don’t like it purely because of nostalgia but I actually think it’s a good game that holds up today. Great stuff!!!
I've replayed Mario 64 a week ago and it's still genuinely fun to play. The analog movement is some of the most spot on I felt from a game of its time, and it's amasing how much they nailed on the first go. Crash Bandicoot is weird to me. I used to like the series, but overtime I've grown to dislike every game outside of Warped and Crash Team Racing, though I have admittedly not played all of them, only most of the ones that are generally popular.
I know what could improve these games: Free camera controlled by the right stick, less automation, and more focus on SA1 Sonic's platforming system with multiple paths through a creative level. SA1 Sonic has always been peak 3D sonic, SA2 had too much single-button dependency and long stretches of automated cutscene stuff.
Agree but i will debate about SA2 being automated There's a lot of cool skips you can do in the Loop-ti-loops or entering with a Spindash rather than running will accelerate the animation I think ZoomZike's vídeo on Metal Harbor puts it best
If I had a nickel for every comment that strongly implied that the commenter didn't watch through the whole video...well, I'd have quite a few nickels.

Wowzers, you are underrated as hell! This is such a high quality video, that it's weird to see you only have 1.7K subs!

SA2 is my favorite game ever because mastering it's mechanics and levels to 100% completion is some of the most fun i have in a videogame
For me there are 2 types of core Sonic gameplay
- Toolboxes to play with the mechanics
(Like Sonic 1, Adventure, Advance)
- Quick Reflexes Obstacle Courses
(Like Advance 2, The Boost and Rush games)
For me Sonic is a his best when doing both, i think this is in Adventure 2, Heroes, 3&K, Manía, Generations and Advance 3
You said it best "Arcaidy" man that's the word
