Of all the fishin shows I've seen over the past 30 years, there have been only two that I really enjoyed tuning into. The New Fly Fisher and an old show called Fishing the West. Beautiful locations, wonderful hosts, no loud thrasher music and no Xpg hurry up and blast in someplace. Really enjoy you guys! Great location on this one, Temagami is a wonderful area, love the backcountry!
Loved the video. I grew up 15 summers 60-70"s in southern temagami, all fishing for walleye & black bass, never thought of flyfishing for brookies. Can't wait to plan a new trip up that way!!
I really appreciate how the outtfitter is targeting the younger guys and people who arent the most wealthy croud of fly fishers ive only been fly fishing for a few seasons and i love it but dont have the money for big trips so this really speaks to me
I used to fly fish a fair bit in Southern Ontario. Now that I live in Northern Ontario I have yet to take advantage of the many brookie streams around here. I need to hit the streams.
Carl, we are hoping to do some in Montana this season. Right now scheduled for Wyoming and possibly Idaho. Will know more by May. Thanks for the feedback.
They are called eastern brook trout because that is their traditional/natural range. The ones in western north america were planted there. If you want to know more about brook trout, an excellent book is called Brook Trout by Nick Karas. you can get it on amazon, really interesting
kinda misleading title - ya think - canoe adventure wth fly fishing - difficult to title this - but the canoe was just mode of transport to different spots on river - kind like a drift boat - or am i missing something?
The New Fly Fisher for example at 3:22. It seems to be the style lately but I don’t think it fits with a canoeing clip and just the channel in general. That’s all I meant by that
Erik at Temagami Outfitting is simply the best there is. He will make sure the adventure you want is the adventure you get.

Thanks Donald, that is high praise and we appreciate it.
Thanks for visiting guys! Great episode.

Oh, looks like my new favorite episode!
fishermen who can actually paddle a canoe properly! this is not something you see often. clearly these guys are actual paddlers, nice to see.
What an inspiration to head to Temagami!
What a great adventure
Wicked video 👍, awesome scenery aswell 😲

Nice work, Mark. Hoping to get back to Temagami this summer. It’s been a long time. Way overdue by the looks of this adventure.
10:54 most Canadian thing to say
Love the video! Well done sirs! Realy want to do a trip like this in the future.
Wow
Any chance of doing some series on public water access in states such as my home state of Montana?

When are doing brook trout in the Adirondacks or in Maine???
Two shows scheduled for Maine this season, one in the Catskills too!
Would that happen to be Beauty Lake road you took in, pretty sure I’ve camped at your launch point.
sorry we cannot say......
Haha. Ya, you’re on Gamble Lake, in Lady Evelyn!
So eastern brook trout? As opposed to western and southern?
Is there a subspecies difference?
Also great episode!!

what time of year is this?
Early September, good question
how old is the video it is still frozen in minnesota
Footage from last september most likely.
We're frozen here in Maine, too. Yard still jammed with snow. Can't wait for the season to really start!
@@ossacatiastril4834 Exactly right!

fun video but don't care for the music
noted, thanks
I gotta say these edits are getting a bit off brand for this channel
Thanks for the feedback, can you be more specific with your comment to help us understand your observation?
