I laughed when you said you can’t have to many band-aids. My eldest came over the other day and had a cut from a plastic drink cup lid. She asked if I had a band-aid? My youngest who is still at home started laughing and gasped “does she have a band- aid? Are you kidding me? She’s the Queen of band-aids.” Yeah if not for you I’d think I have a problem.

I've vacuum-sealed pens and markers, just so they don't dry up. Lentils are 1.34 at Walmart for a full pound here. The tomato-basil SNAPS are great. By the way, do you see the Tomato-Basil seasoning at your Dollar Tree? It is REALLY good. Yam, yes! I think we can do a decent job of meals, even holidays, if we think head, just in case, so that we can not just barely survive, but LIVE.
Jinne thanks for mentioning that in order to make a complete protein, you have to have 2 servings of grain with one serving of beans/lentils. So many people don't make that distinction.

@@jdmaine919 Interesting how they did it quietly. I've got to check my North Carolina department of health website. I really need to start looking for work again in healthcare.
The grocery part of my favorite 5 Quarter Store was really picked over. I did get some hashbrowns but other grocery stuff was either not a great deal or bare shelves. I did get some bleach, tissues, candles, matches, and lighters though. 😊
Jinne, what a great idea for a video. Would love to see what you would come up with for a holiday meal from shelf stable items. I know last year we lost power on Dec 23rd here in Sidney, Me. My son ALWAYS spends the 24th cooking a huge buffet spread for friends & family. Thank goodness the power came back on around 1pm on the 24th. He and I never busted butt so much to get that buffet spread out for the evening. Would love some shelf stable ideas in case the power goes out again here in the sticks. 😂

Hi Jinne, I'm neck deep in apples. I decided to not can anything today I have already canned 12 pints of applesauce. Tomorrow I'll do double time. I'm about to go to bed and start fresh tomorrow.
Jinnie, those Wasbi flavored Pea Snaps are great to crush up a little bit and mix with bread crumbs for jalapeno poppers. I'll be making more this week. They just keep coming from only two plants. After this week, the next batch will be stuffed and frozen. I think in the winter they will be a great snack since we are so tired of them now.
Gloves are great for preparing spicy peppers or meat. Also over work gloves to keep them dry. Yams and sweet potatoes work in baking as a substitute for pumpkins. Good haul!!

Started using salt to clean my cast iron a few years ago and it has never looked better. A little in the bottom of the pan and a good scrub with a napkin or paper towel then a quick rinse with warm water. Amazing!!!
The pea snaps and veggie stix are really good. Nice little crunch and it’s lighter on the stomach too. I had potato chips last week with a friend. They are definitely not being made the same way. Nice haul!
From $ tree. I get the freeze dried fruit, beef jerky and the chicken salad. Those are my go to snacks I get. I get oral care, medical, salt, and storage containers. Every once in a while I’ll get the kitchen utensil things if it a decent brand and the office supply things. I also get card games/ coloring books every now and again.
I have been buying those Harvest snaps for years. I like the plain pea and those red lentil ones. Usually get them at Dollar Tree, but I have found them at Ollie's as well. I also keep one of those drain cleaning things in my bathroom vanity, works to keep the drain flowing freely.
