How to create a Bank Rule for a Bank Account Transfer in Xero

This exciting new feature in Xero (well it was in September 2017!) lets you create bank rules to deal with transfers between your bank accounts.

Excellent video. Thanks fellow Scot! Is this the same process for me to follow if I simply transfer money from my xero business account to my savings account every month? Transfers like this are independent of sales and expenses right?

Yes if your savings account is a business account. If it’s personal then it’s a spend money coded to Drawings for a sole trader or Directors Loan Account for a limited company.
