I'll bet there's an easier way to disconnect the rack from the steering column piece. loke just slide it off. I'll investigate further for the altimas. On my 7th gen civic, it's like butter taking this connection apart. great job dude, I just sat there watching your video admiring your patience. you got it done! note: I dont think u have to disconnect the exhaust pipe running down the middle.
If you’re doing this at home with no lift, and don’t wanna mess with the engine mount and subframe…….mark the steering shaft at both ends with a sharpie, and remove it completely from inside the car. Then you can finagle the rack out through the driver’s side without lowering the subframe.
some have the high pressure and low pressure hoses connect with compression nuts. you dont touch the ither hydraulic fluid lines on the rack. Also I saw a dude disconnect the high pressure hose at the pump and then drag it out with the whole rack assembly still attached. being a rubber hose, it just bends ..

No, it doesn’t collapse like the Honda’s do. You either have to drop the subframe to get it off, or remove it completely from inside the cabin.
I LOVE doing this job.

Good job man
So u didn't have to loosen the lines up just take the hoses off?
As far as the power steering lines
