I'm from Finland and it was easy for me to guess all of those
Second game, round 2: That prominent pole is an electricity pole, not a telephone pole; the three wires tell it's using three-phase alternating current. Telephone lines have been increasingly removed.
The landscape looks very Finnish, but the real telltale is the yellow warning sign in the electricity pole. You cannot read it from the distance, but I bet it says "Hengenvaara - Livsfara" - finnish and swedish words for "Mortal danger".

It's strange (or maybe not) that living in Finland, I could recognise in half a second if it was Finland. Or not Finland. That being said, I have never been to Canada, so if the locations were actually handpicked, it's possible such an instinct could betray me. The most interesting one was the treeless, wide farmland, which you guessed right. I reckon it might not be impossible to find an equivalent location in the South Ostrobothnia (the region where the Seinäjoki city is located), or elsewhere in the whole Ostrobothnia, especially if it was a full No game so that you can't even rotate the camera. There are some pretty large fields there.
Edit: Large and extremely flat fields.
Yeah I guessed South Ostrobothnia on that one for that exact reason :>
Lada cars were actually sold in Canada back in the day, so in theory, that could have been a Lada. Apparently there's even a Lada owners club in Canada. Ladas are pretty rare even in Finland these days and more of a collector's car rather than something you would actually use.
It was actually an E30 bimmer
That's pretty interesting - I learn something new everyday!
I got 10 of 10 right. I am from Finland.
5th seemed like 3rd world country with the powerlines in the air in a town. Barbaric.
Barbaric how? Are you stupid
The east coast of the US is filled with them... something that has not changed in nearly 100 years. Crazy.
One thing that can help with those middle of nowhere rounds is knowing that there's deep (and usually well weeded) ditches on the sides of the roads in finland
Fields like that in west coast of Finland
I lived in Owen Sound, Ontario for ten years, so I have some experience with the Ontario scenery. My best round was the next to last, getting 1.5 miles away near Hamilton. Luck.
Wow I had an awful score on both games, even tho I got the country right in all of the rounds, but one in the second game (round 4, I thought the leftmost car was a Volvo, which I didn't think would be that common in Canada. There are definitely Nissans in Finland.). Didn't even break 10k in either game (9.4k in first and 9.8k in second).
we have nissans and hondas in finland :P
Damn, I'm Finnish and I only got 3/5 right on both. And the ones I got Canada right in I usually was super far away from where it actually was :D But I'm pretty new to playing GeoGuesser
Yes zoom 🏎️
I got 10/10 as a Finnish person. I could quickly tell if it wasn't Finland, so then it had to be Canada :)
Great game!
10:42 and here I was thinking the car on the left was a Volvo and went straight to Finland!
Yeah but the license plate size dead give away :D
Haha I wasn't the only one that thought it was Volvo :D I thought the license plate looked more Canadian, but wasn't sure, so ended up going to Finland anyway. That was the only round I had difficulties distinguishing which country it was.
Haha, got 10 of 10 right, but still managed to fail miserably against your score in the second game. Well, seems like my Canada's way off.
I got country right on every round in both games easily, but regionguessing is usually hard in both countries, so the scores weren't so good. But of course this was NMPZ.
Hey, for finnish regions there is some tips i can tell, 1. If there is a lot of water and lakes its more to souther eastern side of the country. 2. If there is a lot of fields or swamps its more to the western part of the country (Ostrobothnian areas) 3. If there is a lack of trees and a lotts of hills/fells its more likely in the far north of the country (Lapland)
@@valoroikka good info
pretty ez as a finn
Id love if someone made this kind of map with handpicked locations
me too
Canadian's have Trudeau-Castro, Finland doesnt.😊
