Yes ! Bring back the 70's please !
Back in the 70s, a hotdog would be the common item to have with the drink.
(remember when the Vitamix came with all metal pitcher?). I would reduce the sugar to 1 tbsp, and add 1/4 cup Vodka or Sparkling White Wine in the glass after the puree; garnish w/orange slice.
You guys are the best. How about you do a few more affordable appliances and their accuracy? Loved your Aldi’s stream. Keep ‘‘em coming.
Looks good! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Looks sooo good!
Love this...
Thanks, Sue!
Hi Amy & Eric...!!! This looks delish. A Department Store named "HILLS" sold a orange drink at their snack bar back in the 80s. Wonder if this is similar!!! I will have to give this a try for sure. YUMS!!!...Great Video!!!...🦋
Try CoffeeMate for creamier consistency. Looks yummy!
I like it! I will buy some frozen juice concentrate and try it.
It is so good! It would also be great with a little mashed strawberry put in the glass and pour the Orange Julius on the top.
Hey Amy - what brand is your stainless steel measuring cup you used in this video? Your orange Julius looked good!
Hi Kandy! It is a Williams Sonoma set. They still sell a set but they changed the design. I wish they still sold this set. I would get another one lol! Thanks for watching!
I've never had an orange Julius but why do you put so much sugar or any sugar for that matter? There is no other ingredient that would force it to be made sweeter?
You could probably use Stevia. The original Orange Julius probably had a ton of sugar...maybe as much as soda.
@@AmyLearnsToCook I would probably not put in any type of sweetener....OJ concentrate is sweet enough.
@AmyLearnsToCook By the way, have you ever checked out the Calvalcade of Food youtube channel? Lots of recipes and talk about vintage appliances, kitchen accessories, cook books, small appliances, stoves, refrigerators, typewriters, etc. They even have a building with store front display in MI.
Sugar and salt is not really an important issue for many recipes. That can be easily corrected to your taste
I drank Orange Julius in the 70's. Some places had other flavors. I can't wait to try it.😊
That's a lot of sugar. Isn't it too sweet?
