And now, after finally having reviewed the Cybertruck, it's time to give Doug DeMuro a DougScore: 1. Starting with the weekend categories and styling, Doug looks fine, not beautiful, he gets a 5/10 2. Acceleration is slow, I'm not sure how fast Doug does 0-60, but it's definitely over 10 seconds, which gives him a 1/10 3. Handling is ok, not spotscar level though, Doug gets a 4/10 4. Fun factor is good. Doug is pretty fun, he gets a 7/10 5. Cool factor is high, there is only one Doug DeMuro in the world, though I don't think he turns many heads because many people simply don't know who he is. Still, it's enough to give him an 8/10 for an overall weekend score of 25/50 6. Next up are daily categories and features, Doug is reasonably well equipped but still lacks some modern tech. He gets a 7/10 7. Comfort is great and gets an 8/10 8. Quality is fine, but long term reliability might be an issue, he gets a 7/10 9. Practicality is normal for a guy like Doug, only two hands and no second row get him a 4/10 10. Finally, value, and this is a tough one. Doug is really cool, but also quite expensive. He gets a 5/10 for an overall daily score of 31/50 Added up and the DougScore is...56/100. I have not reviewed any Dougs yet, but this is a high score and I'm thrilled to have been able to spend a day with him!
I miss Doug's old format where he breaks down the categories and explains each one too...he should have brought that back, at least just one time...for this ultra "special" vehicle. I understand why he doesn't do it anymore, but he should make exceptions for something like the CyberTruck. an epic missed opportunituly, imo. 😥

These are trucks, what truck has a "soul"? When people say a car has soul, they mean it has personality. Volvo had a really interesting concept with a semi transparent a-pillar (steel truss + small glass panels). That forward blind spot behind the a-pillar of the cybertruck is atrocious (17:43).
@@ThingsHumansDo Yes, you can in fact reduce pedestrian deaths. High SUVs and pickups are inherently dangerous. When small cars hit pedestrians, the send the pedestrian onto the hood, usually striking their legs. When a pickup hits a pedestrian, it hits their body, and the high ground clearance sends them UNDER the car, which results in 3x more pedestrian deaths compared to a car. Also, saying that "all cars are dangerous for pedestrians, therefore there shouldn't consider pedestrian safety" is like saying "All people are capable of murdering other people, so we shouldn't arrest anybody for murder."

@Geotpf when you get hit by a car, it doesn't matter if it's got pointy corners. Go stand in front of a fulll size pickup truck. That's 8,000 lbs with a huge grille. Steer by wire means that the steering wheel is not ”physically” connected to wheels instead it is electronic. That is why its possible for it to have that kind of changeable steering system. In high speed it is not as fast.
@@johncocktoasten9228 perhaps. But It is quite foolproof system? Im not expert but I imagine it being actually quite simple system so not much to go wrong. Arent brakes already electronic in electric cars? I really dont know this either :D
people have been experiencing a lot of issues with this car. not just the wheel covers. the insanely sharp steel causing safety concerns. cars aren't sold with pop up lights for this reason, so this car theoretically shouldn't be sold either. the front lightbar being partially covered by the steel so at night the lights dip/aren't high enough to illuminate as much as other cars. the large & inconsistent panel gaps caused by difficulties during production (one of many reasons why people don't use stainless steel for cars) I appreciate what this car is trying to do, but it feels a bit stupid and if anything is a step backwards in terms of innovation.

You gotta stop with the "it has no soul" argument. These are trucks, what truck has a "soul"? When people say a car has soul, they mean it has personality. Specifically with powerful cars, their engine sound and characteristics, as well as the overall feel gives it soul.
For utilitarian vehicles "soul" certainly isn't that important, but as Doug said, people buy this thing not for its utility. They want to make a statement. To me then, that statement is "I got money but no soul". And to me a DMC or even an Aztec is cooler.

=idiot drivers aren’t teslas responsibility.
