This was the last song written by Freddie!!! What a beautiful theme ...!!! another little gem of Queen. Freddie sings to life, even though his life slipped between his fingers 💔💔💔💔 “The hardest track to record was probably 'A Winters Tale' for emotional and technical reasons. The singing was done over two weeks , every two days some rest for Freddie and then waiting for him to be well enough to come and sing a little bit more again.” David Richards, productor de los últimos albums de QUEEN. And Phoebe (Peter Freestone) said: "I think in the end, the only thing he regretted is that he still had a lot of music inside," who says the musician was clear that his last moment had come. My heart it’s crying just now!!! Freddie Mercury, you’re a LEGEND!!
Freddie was basically dying when he recorded this. He could only come into the studio in Montreux and work for a few hours before he had to return to his sick bed. This song was inspired by the view from his hospital bed overlooking Lake Geneva.
This was the last song Freddie wrote. He was looking out from his apartment in Montreux where he spent most of his last time and just wrote down what he saw. It's a beautiful song. ❤❤❤❤ I wish she had given you a little info that it was the last one he wrote along with the request just so you'd know what you were gonna listen to.
I can't even begin to understand just how Freddie could write this beautiful song and sing it like he did, while knowing he was dying😥😥💖💕👑 I love you Freddie 4ever 💖💕👑
He was almost at the end. This was the last song Freddie wrote. He wrote it while looking out the window from his bed in Switzerland where they recorded the final vocals before Freddie couldn’t get out of bed anymore. Knowing he only had months or weeks left can give you an appreciation of his lyrics and where they were coming from. He was so frail at this point, but his voice is heavenly. Brian said he could only go in the studio and sing one line 3 times for them to use knowing he wouldn’t be alive when it was time to add the music to his lyrics. It breaks my heart. He was a true hero in my book. A real musician through and through. Seeing him wink at the beginning and end of the video made me cry when I first saw it after hearing the story behind it. The writing on the video screen is Freddie’s actual handwriting. Brian said they used Freddie’s notes when he was jotting down the lyrics. The story behind this beautiful song brings a special meaning to it. Not just a song for us to find beauty in life. I think if you knew the story behind this you might have had a different take on it. Might not be a bad idea to google each song before reacting. A couple other reaction channels do. It’s kinda cool because it just tells who wrote it, the year it was done and a little info about the song. It would be nice for you to do that at the start of each video especially for those who don’t know about that particular song. Then there might be more substance to react to after the video. Just a thought
Thank you Issy..Freddie wrote this inspired from the view he had in Montreux and it was a beautiful view. He wrote this..and he composed the whole thing even the music. A whole Freddie Production. A beautiful sentimental song.. And this voice than continued to come from a dying man is amazing...🤗 The writing you see in this video is actually Freddie's writing they took...🤗
Long time lurker here, but I have to comment on this sublime song. I have loved it since I first heard it. Knowing the backstory and then hearing the song presents such a dichotomy that I can’t help but cry every single time I hear it. I cry for both the beauty of the song and for the grievous way Freddie was taken from us; for the wonderful artistry of the music and for the unfairness of life. Then the guitar solo starts, and I feel it down to my soul because most days, it is crying with me...mourning this dichotomy of life, and, more importantly, mourning the exquisitely talented and beautiful person we call Freddie.
🌟This beautiful, christmasy song was Freddie's last ever baby. It was written after the Innuendo sessions, inspired as Freddie was staring out the windows of his hospital, at Lake Geneva. The song has a psychedelic, dreamy feel, and describes what my beautiful frail angel saw outside the windows. His beloved swans he used to take a pic with his Polaroid, children playing outside, the snowy mountains etc... See? Even in his last stage of his life, Freddie sees the beauty in it...😢 🌟Freddie wrote, composed, and did the vocals and keyboards for this poem, in only one take...😮🙆♀️🤷♀️As I have said many times, Freddie was a Master of storytelling...Look how many artistic words he uses to describe the landscape! God, I miss him so much... 🥺🥺 🌟There's a lot of confusion there between this song & "Mother Love"... Which one was the last one... Yeah, I mean I'm confused too... It's unclear which of the two was written 1st... However, what is clear is that "Mother Love" was Freddie's last vocal record... We'll talk further about it when Faith reacts on it... So now, check out the lyrics of this beautiful tale... ✍️📙📖 I can't watch the video without crying... 😭😭😭 It's winter-fall Red skies are gleaming, oh Seagulls are flying over Swans are floating by Smoking chimney tops Am I dreaming? Am I dreaming? The nights draw in There's a silky moon up in the sky, yeah Children are fantasizing Grown-ups are standing by What a super feeling Am I dreaming? Am I dreaming? Woh-woh-woh-woh (Dreaming) So quiet and peaceful (Dreaming) Tranquil and blissful (Dreaming) There's a kind of magic in the air (Dreaming) What a truly magnificent view (Dreaming) A breathtaking scene (With the dreams of the world (In the palm of your hand) (Dreaming) A cozy fireside chat (Dreaming) A little this, a little that (Dreaming) Sound of merry laughter skippin' by (Dreaming) Gentle rain beatin' on my face (Dreaming) What an extraordinary place! (And the dream of the child Is the hope of, the hope of the man) It's all so beautiful Like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah! Mountains are zooming higher, uh Little girls scream and cry My world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning It's unbelievable Sends me reeling Am I dreaming? Am I dreaming? Oooh It's bliss
Thank you for this lovely song. I agree with you about the fact that Queen's songs don't all sound similar. How many bands do you see where all members are excellent songwriters? And with Queen, they all come from very diverse backgrounds, with different personalities & life experiences, tastes & sensibilities, likes & dislikes, all of which contributes to their great variety. Yet for all that, every album manages to be cohesive, with that distinct & unmistakable Queen sound pulling it all together.
When you eventually check out Mother Love, the last song he ever sang, please don't do the official video because it's very distracting and has absolutely nothing to do with the song. Just a tip 😉
Tear time. Such a poignant song, it was literally Freddie writing down the things he observed from the window of his hospital room. Oh, and I'm with Sanna, when it comes to 'Mother Love' please avoid the official video, it has no bearing on the song whatsoever, and is more than a little irritating
In 1995 Queen invited the British Film Institute to have its students make films to accompany the Made In Heaven release. The video, called Made In Heaven: The Films was released on VHS (yes, ancient) and in my opinion only a couple of the videos actually matched the songs on any discernable level.
Please Faith, I paid for my three reactions a week ago tomorrow. :( I understand that it’s just you and that you have a ton, and I’m sorry to keep bothering you, but I want to be able to keep requesting (since I love your reactions!) I don’t know how else to check in except a comment.

It wasn't from the hospital, it was from his apartment.
Beautiful song. They used Freddie’s handwritten notes too which makes it even more personal. 💜💕💜

One of the most beautiful songs written. My heart is torn apart. Freddie I miss you so much.
Kudos to Brian 🎸 for going back into that studio and putting freddie's voice into a format we can all appreciate. 🎶 A true labor of love. Roger too.
And John.

A dying man writes about how beautiful everything he sees is ... and another song about how much he loves his cat....
I love this song. It comforts me - and at the same time makes me feel sad and nostalgic...

It’s beautiful. 💔❤️
He was remembering and/or seeing life as he was dying
Beautiful song, beautiful lyrics & a beautiful soul that can still see such beauty even as he was dying. 💔
“Oh it’s bliss.” ❤️❤️
This was from the post innuendo album recording sessions. So the very last batch written and recorded by Freddie. Such a beautiful track
Am I Dreaming.....magnificent Freddie...
Montreux...the most beautiful place...pure magic...I can't wait to visit it again..

Am I dreaming?
Am I dreaming?

There's a silky moon up in the sky, yeah

What a super feeling
Am I dreaming?
Am I dreaming?
Woh-woh-woh-woh

(Dreaming) What a truly magnificent view
(Dreaming) A breathtaking scene
(With the dreams of the world

(Dreaming) A cozy fireside chat
(Dreaming) A little this, a little that
(Dreaming) Sound of merry laughter skippin' by
(Dreaming) Gentle rain beatin' on my face
(Dreaming) What an extraordinary place!
(And the dream of the child
Is the hope of, the hope of the man)
It's all so beautiful
Like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah!
Mountains are zooming higher, uh
Little girls scream and cry
My world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning
It's unbelievable
Sends me reeling
Am I dreaming?
Am I dreaming?
Oooh
It's bliss
Like sitting with him in those last months... Makes me ((sniff))
You need to listen to These are the dasys of our lives one of my favourite queen songs freddies voice is so emotional.

but so so painful.
