    Nice videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.How do you gather requirement for integration of application with other systems like data source ,API etc.and how do you write the uses stories for that.
    Also how do you break process into epics and then into user stories?

    • @AngeloTheBA
      @AngeloTheBA  3 роки тому +1

      Same way you do any requirements. You understand business requirement or needs... Aka Why are you making these APIs? What are they expected to accomplish? Breaking them down is subjective to the nature of your work. Could be based on processes they facilitate, applications they connect, or chunks of related data etc. Supplementary documentation would be data flow diagram(s) and a data dictionary.

    Can you do more videos on Day to Day of a BA and possibly more about Jira?

      I do have a week in the life video of you haven't already seen it. ua-cam.com/video/xAf4iWK0q9w/v-deo.html
      I'll see about creating additional Day in the life videos. Regarding JIRA, do you have specific questiond, or you generally don't know what is and how it works?

    Can you make a video on the differentiation of a Product Owner and Business Analyst within an Agile environment?

    • @AngeloTheBA
      @AngeloTheBA  4 роки тому

      That's a good idea. Can I ask what seems the most confusing or unclear to you?

      Angelo the BA I haven’t worked in any agile teams yet, however looking from a distance, some of the tasks and management seem to overlap. A comparison video would be helpful

    Hi Angelo
    In an agile environment, what is the role of a client side business analyst, when the client has hired a vendor who have their own Business Analysts? Mind you, the client side also has a product owner. Is there a redundancy here?
    Thanks for answering

    • @AngeloTheBA
      @AngeloTheBA  2 роки тому +1

      The role of a client side business analyst is to know that clients data, business process, etc to make sure whatever they getting from the vendor addresses actual needs. I would expect the vendors BA to know the ins and outs of what they are providing. This video explains the relationship of a PO & a BA more clearly ua-cam.com/video/p5EeBfXcEKQ/v-deo.html

    Ive just got a new position as a BA and its within an Agile framework. Ive never used JIRA before (in my previous BA positions) and now I am trying to figure out what do I do next? (After the product owner has assigned me with two user stories to 'work on')

    • @AngeloTheBA
      @AngeloTheBA  10 місяців тому +1

      I would interpret "work on" as refine the user story. Define acceptance criteria (I like gherkin or given/when/then), confirm impacts of the change, define anything else that might need to be defined (process flows, decision tables, etc to clarify expectations to the PO, developers, and any other stakeholders.

      The user stores were previously assigned to a colleague who has now gone to a different area within the business. I was given these x2 user stories to go over them and see 'what I can make of them/what the issue(s) are). They went from status of 'story defined' back to 'TO DO' (a few times)... What I can see within them, they already have acceptance criterias inside them and have Gherkins within them each@@AngeloTheBA

      If someone moved them back to an unready status, I would start by talking to that person as to why, talk to the team on what the expectations are for story readiness, etc.

      Hey @egeorge4097
      You are describing the story of my life currently. Just started out 4 weeks ago and I am feeling lost in this framework and Jira. Would love to exchange notes.
