Great Stuff. A real memory tweaker. We had a quick visit ( 2 days ) a couple of years ago, but prior to that it has been 60 years since I last saw Bury, Lancashire.
i was born in Bury 1944 in the then Jericho Hospital and dont know much about the town so to come across this video was a nice surprise i would have liked to see what the hospital looked like then I now live in Australia and have done for many years thank for the video was very interesting
The old Bury General Hospital near Jericho was bulldozed many years ago and is now a housing estate. So I'm afraid that request won't be possible 😉 ...but it's nice to have viewers of our channel across the globe. Thanks for watching.
Lovely to see the historical buildings, the Library go to as a girl in the 50's and 60's. Art centre, wonderful, the wonderful Church and the Clarence where we had wedding reception in 1973.
Appreciate all the great videos of our city and suburbs, great job. It would be good if you could amend the title of this one to Bury, Greater Manchester.
I think someone needs a lesson in geography, facts and history. Bury became part of Greater Manchester along with Manchester, Salford, Trafford etc under the local government act of 1972. The act was clear and unequivocal that the counties were changed. Read the act if you are still unsure. Bury was in the Manor of Salford, also known as the Hundred of Salford centuries before Lancashire was invented, so your statement that "bury is in lancashire always has and always will be". Is historically and factually incorrect. You need to know more about our town of Bury before making such foolish statements. Why not google " which county is Bury in?" Not sure you are going to like the results, lol!

We're glad you enjoyed it. You'll have to give it another visit at some point if you get chance. ,👍

3:56 If you was into Heavy Metal in the 80's, the white building in the background is where you went "Two Tubs"
Well... until the Royal that is.

As a Bury lass it will always be Lancashire for me. I always address my post as such and it gets there.
I never send post to Greater Manchester, it's LANCASHIRE to us oldies. 😁
