Wow! That's BOSS! The only thing I would add to put Greyhound over the top is if they can learn from the Japanese style of bus service, such as provide amenities at their stations (like slippers, reclining seats, toilets with bidets, etc. especially for overnight services), private closures and screens on each seat, then they will have major competition with the trains and airlines. I'm sure they can beat AMTRAK easily. Study the Japanese style of bus service. You won't regret it.

So when is Greyhound going to actually give its riders a proper place to wait for the bus? All those "fancy" bells and whistles are fine for the inside, but passengers are currently having to wait outside without shelter, no place to grab a bite to eat or drink, OR restroom facilities. And many of the locations are in unsafe locations. Fix these things and maybe you'll start to impress me.

I agree...unfortunately years ago they sold off alot of realestate following deregulation. If they could/would do what you suggested I truly believe it would entice more people who would never have utilized this mode of travel. Wouldn't it be awesome if build them like the past.

As a former driver of 14.5 years, your comment is what's needed. The buses are nice. But getting rid of the terminals was a huge mistake. That's one reason I quit. I got tired of every terminal being closed and me dealing with everything on my own without terminal support of any kind. Wasn't worth it anymore so I switched to trucking and got my sanity back. All people are different. Some people can deal with that craziness(people mad the bus is late...mad they can't go to the bathroom...mad because they are hungry and drivers get in trouble for unauthorized meal stops.) All of those little things became big things and I couldn't do it no more. But like you said...nice buses...if new buses could solve the other things.

From when I was a user of Greyhound thay are but a shadow of what they once were. They have gone away for from having service to small towns to almost none. I cannot go from where I live to most of the USA. In 1966 I was in Hawaii and for people living outside of the lower 48 I use their special promotion ticket see the USA 99 days for 99 Dollars. I also lived 4 miles outside of town and used it daily one summer to go from and return to home. It was on a route that went from Cincinnati to Dayton Ohio use highway US42. Now you can only go from Big city to big city with no stops in between. now no such service as local.
