The only thing I would add to put Greyhound over the top is if they can learn from the Japanese style of bus service, such as provide amenities at their stations (like slippers, reclining seats, toilets with bidets, etc. especially for overnight services), private closures and screens on each seat, then they will have major competition with the trains and airlines. I'm sure they can beat AMTRAK easily. Study the Japanese style of bus service. You won't regret it.
Maybe if we're lucky, some of these new buses will pop up in Dallas soon. Some of the older first gen Prevosts just aren't cutting it, especially on those Dallas to Houston runs.

So when is Greyhound going to actually give its riders a proper place to wait for the bus? All those "fancy" bells and whistles are fine for the inside, but passengers are currently having to wait outside without shelter, no place to grab a bite to eat or drink, OR restroom facilities. And many of the locations are in unsafe locations. Fix these things and maybe you'll start to impress me.
I agree...unfortunately years ago they sold off alot of realestate following deregulation. If they could/would do what you suggested I truly believe it would entice more people who would never have utilized this mode of travel. Wouldn't it be awesome if build them like the past.
As a former driver of 14.5 years, your comment is what's needed. The buses are nice. But getting rid of the terminals was a huge mistake. That's one reason I quit. I got tired of every terminal being closed and me dealing with everything on my own without terminal support of any kind. Wasn't worth it anymore so I switched to trucking and got my sanity back. All people are different. Some people can deal with that craziness(people mad the bus is late...mad they can't go to the bathroom...mad because they are hungry and drivers get in trouble for unauthorized meal stops.) All of those little things became big things and I couldn't do it no more. But like you said...nice buses...if new buses could solve the other things.

WAIT ONE SEC!! Was that a crossing guard for the pedestrian, or to allow the bus out ? LOL We never had help getting out of the Chicago Terminal, or Milwaukee, or Cleveland, or Indy, or Memphis. LOL....Even when the Chicago Terminal was under ground on Lower Wacker drive. Not the same without the MCI 102's...Those were great to drive !!
good news....Greyhound generally is a safe and cheaper alternative for shorter inter-city service.....they seem committed to improvements and often operate better than their sometimes dreadful reputation.....I have found them a decent way to travel and will be excited by the new buses....good video
From when I was a user of Greyhound thay are but a shadow of what they once were. They have gone away for from having service to small towns to almost none. I cannot go from where I live to most of the USA. In 1966 I was in Hawaii and for people living outside of the lower 48 I use their special promotion ticket see the USA 99 days for 99 Dollars. I also lived 4 miles outside of town and used it daily one summer to go from and return to home. It was on a route that went from Cincinnati to Dayton Ohio use highway US42. Now you can only go from Big city to big city with no stops in between. now no such service as local.
Greyhound ain't shit customer service has been non-existent for many many years. They still leave people stranded for hours and sometimes days. New busses won't help their shabby image

@@dpryce316 Greyhound ordered 9 MCI D45 CRTs instead of the D4520, they ordered it because the passengers will be served by a lift similar to the previous D4505 models.

Have to disagree, here in Germany our motorcoach seats (Flixbus) aren't any better, these Greyhound seats actually look slightly better. Never seen a motorcoach with seats even comparable to airline business class
Buses are not high class in the US lol its the cheapest way to get around and thats what you get. If you want better land travel you have to do Amtrack. But most Americans just fly or drive themself. Bus is the option of last resort for most. Discount Airline tickets will get you longer distances cheaper and there quicker for the most part.
