Now the minute that the I heard the first song, I immediately started crying because it reminded me of my mom and our relationship. She passed away last year due to cancer. She turned me on to musicals and theatre.

Stephanie Mills and Diana Ross set a high bar for “Home.” It’s almost impossible to follow those Legends. But that young lady held her own and was amazing 👏🔥🎶🙌

We know everyone else will enjoy it as that's what typically happens. Black people usually on stage but seldom in the audience to experience it first hand and support the artists and not because they dont want to. Shout out to the programs who try to make it happen for some families black or otherwise..

The Wiz was and still is one of my favorite movies/musicals. I watched it in elementary and still listen to the songs in my 20’s. The music alone is so soulful and strong. ‘Home’ and ‘Believe in Yourself’ will always be warming to hear in rough times. So happy NPR set this up, they’ve been on point this year!

Just got back from NYC last week and took my girls to go see The Wiz on Broadway at the Marriott Marquise. The nplay and cast did an absolute stellar job. Band and Music conductor as well. A def Must See! 5 Stars

OMG @npr I am moved to tears! *The Wiz* is my ultimate favorite movie and play. I was Dorothy, and my bond with my grandmother mirrored Dorothy's with Aunt Em. I lost my mom early, and living with my grandparents left me feeling lost and out of place. It took time to find my path, but at 51, I am finally easing down my own yellow brick road. This play has truly guided my life. I hope to see it on Broadway someday, but for now, I watch the movie every month! My 16-year-old son, who is six foot nine, knows the entire soundtrack and sings it with me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This means so much to me.
What you all don't see here is the Unbelievable costumes and the fabulous dancing!!!. THe dancers .. THe Emerald City scene . THe whole show kept a smile on my face days after.

The Wiz was and still is one of my favorite movies/musicals. I watched it in elementary and still listen to the songs in my 20’s. The music alone is so soulful and strong. ‘Home’ and ‘Believe in Yourself’ will always be warming to hear in rough times. So happy NPR set this up, they’ve been on point this year!

Just got back from NYC last week and took my girls to go see The Wiz on Broadway at the Marriott Marquise. The nplay and cast did an absolute stellar job. Band and Music conductor as well. A def Must See! 5 Stars

OMG @npr I am moved to tears! *The Wiz* is my ultimate favorite movie and play. I was Dorothy, and my bond with my grandmother mirrored Dorothy's with Aunt Em. I lost my mom early, and living with my grandparents left me feeling lost and out of place. It took time to find my path, but at 51, I am finally easing down my own yellow brick road. This play has truly guided my life. I hope to see it on Broadway someday, but for now, I watch the movie every month! My 16-year-old son, who is six foot nine, knows the entire soundtrack and sings it with me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This means so much to me.
What you all don't see here is the Unbelievable costumes and the fabulous dancing!!!. THe dancers .. THe Emerald City scene . THe whole show kept a smile on my face days after.
