- Folks have been asking to see all my snakes but we're going to make it interesting. My friend Amy is coming to town for a visit. She is a huge fan of the channel and claims to know all my snakes. We're going to find out how much she knows about ball python genetics, superdwarf reticulated python localities and can she hold a black-headed python without the snake seeing how her arm tastes. We're going on a full snake tour.

Lesson learned: don't brag to Bob that you know everything about his snakes. He'll make you show up and prove it (don't doubt me though, I only brag when I have good reason to do so). That face I make into the camera after I saw all the baby snakes is priceless. 🤣 But wait until you see those babies guys, they are stunners!
Bob, you shouldn't tell Kent not to pander for free t-shirts, and then turn around and pander for scotch...it's very hypocritical. But thank you for having me on the show and for all your hospitality Bob and Kent! I can't wait to come back for another visit sometime! Hopefully Kent will have that plant in his corner trimmed by then, and we'll have a real interview.

Oh my goodness! You two were SO cute together! In a purely platonic way of course. Seeing Bob get so flustered by how well Amy knew the snakes and how much she admires the channel was touching and made me giggle at the same time.
Btw Amy, I love the happy bounce you did when he said he would show you the babies. You definitely deserved to see them after getting 100% on the Snakes of the Green Room Quiz plus the bonus questions thrown in to try to stump you but you nailed as well.
This was a super fun video *and* we got to see all of your snakes in it, besides the babies and we even got a little peek at some of them! I truly enjoyed every minute of this video.
P.S: Kent really should trim that plant if he’s planning on having more guests on Kent’s Corner.

Cool snakes and great beard. Wife and I have 2 ball pythons a baby regular and an adult morph of some kind. People we got him from said he's a mystic lesser but I think super mojave maybe🤷♂️

Awesome video. So jealous that she had this wonderful opportunity. Beautiful snakes. Love how fat some of these girls are. I have two males that are starting to put on some girth, about 800 grams. They are probably a 1 1/2 years old. Never tried Scotch more of a Bourbon guy thus far

My snake has stuck shed at the tip of her nose, where the Jacobson's organ is and on her eye..it's really tricky to get it off, any tips? 🙃
I have a video on shedding that will help. Humid hide for a while or a wet pillow case will get it off
Where did you get the branches that are in your enclosures?
If you are talking about the branches in the bioactive, I don't remember but I probably got them at a reptile show or just found them somewhere.

I like really want to know how much money you spend on your snakes monthly I loveee them they're so cute alsoo Amys knowledge of genetics is extraordinary!
Once they're set up, it's just a matter of the cost of 2-4 rodents a month per snake. You might have a vet bill or two over the course of their life, but definitely cheaper to maintain than if I had 18 cats ;-)

I have a female ball python I got November 2020 at an expo, this is when I was getting back into ball pythons and I haven’t had one since the 5th grade, after experience I realized she was very slim for her size and when I first got her she seemed she had she’d skin stuck to her that was difficult to remove so I had to soak her and it finally came off, she also had a scratch that went away over time, basically the guy who had her did not take care of her well. I even looked up his shop and he had bad reviews. My snake is a female pastel vanilla spider selling for 500$ wich I now realize is ridiculous especially since it is just a dominant with two codoms and she wasn’t even healthy. Well she was a picky eater and to this day she is not skinny but she has not really put on any size since then, I got this snake because I wanted to one day breed her but she has difficulty eating consistent and putting on weight. Any advice or experience tips, you can see her size on my channel
No need to force it. I have a couple that I'd love to breed this upcoming season but they aren't consistent enough eaters and probably won't be up to size. It just takes patience - and some just end up better pets than breeders too.
@@GreenRoomPythons ok thank you so much for the advice, yes this female is very reserved compared to my other snakes, she seems shy and is not quick to eat but on rare occasions she is ready to eat.
Is it possible to continue to feed rat pinkies even as your pythons grow, rather than mice and small to medium rats, or is that a big no-no? Because the reason I don't have a snake, is that once the prey looks like pets I can't will myself. I have had rats and they're so smart it is very challenging.
The prey size needs to increase as the size of the snake increases. Rat pinkies are too small for even the smallest baby ball python. I feed frozen thawed which is much more comfortable than feeding live prey to a snake
@GreenRoomPythons I think I'm fated to have only domestic snakes, or small lizards then that can have insect, pinky and/or fish based diets... I also love a tortoise but worry about being outlived by my pets...
Is it normal for young ball pythons to fall a lot?
Yep! They're pretty clumsy
