I’ve been a police officer for 20 years. Had I gone federal, this would have been the job for me.
The Post Office need more Postal Inspectors. I think people who have years in the Post Office would be great candidates to become Postal Inspectors regardless of age or education ONLY because they know the ins and outs of the Postal Service. I appreciate Postal Inspectors and their work. Thank you.
Respectfully agree that SOME with postal experience would be great candidates BUT some are CRAPPY people

Enjoyed every second of this video! Currently working for usps and attending college to get my BA in Criminal Justice Administration. Trying really hard to work for USPIS. Only downside for me is age requirement as I am 33 in my first year of college.

Join a qualified federal law enforcement agency. Then apply once an opening comes up.

WOW, you learned something new everyday. We was always taught the US Marshals was the oldest in fact the USPS is the oldest and Marshals are presumed to be second.

Hello. Postal Inspector? I took the test for the Postal Police Officer. I do not have a degree, only experience as PD and Military. I do know that Postal Police do not require a degree, but Inspectors do.

Wow, great video. I'm a mechanic for usps and I'd really love an opportunity to be a postal inspector. I have an associates degree with business management in automotive technology, and I've been working for the company for 7 years. I'm currently taking criminology courses. Am I eligible to apply even without the bachelor's degree?

When is the application process happening
Last process was last summer I believe around June or July. Since your post is a year old I hope you were able to apply.
Back in 1980 i was in prison in Florida and was selling hunting rifles to dude ranches out west , only problem was the rifles did not exsist. Mail fraud

The Postal inspectors did nothing whatsoever to arrest the thieves working at the Oakland Post office who have repeatedly stolen my silver coins. When they say they are arresting thieves it seems they mean as long as the thief is not a US postal worker. And they have also made themselves exempt from lawsuits from their repeated thefts.
Internal theft by employees isn't handled by the U S Postal Inspection Service. That's the USPS-OIG that supposedly does that. Those folks are not Postal Inspectors and Inspectors sure don't like to be mistaken for an OIG agent.
the USPIS just sent out a memo regarding citizens taking video in and around post offices. instead of trying to help employees understand that there is absolutely nothing wrong or illegal in taking these videos, the memo immediately casts these videographers as troublemakers by saying "these videos...attempt to capture our employees in argumentative situations, which casts the postal service in a negative light". as someone who has watched dozens if not hundreds of these citizen videos, i can say for certain that this is a lie. it is, almost invariably, the employees of the post office who start any arguments through their ignorance of the constitution. they are consistently uninformed regarding the law, and quite regularly take adversarial, aggressive, and argumentative positions toward these citizens exercising their legal constitutional rights. THEY create the bad situation. and instead of calling them for their ignorance of the law and constitution, and their illegal and terrible behavior, you have further exacerbated the situation by doubling down on the idiotic idea that this is "us versus them", and that regular citizens exercising their rights are somehow the enemy. instead of asking for the cooperation and common decency that should be expected from public employees, you suggest "telling your supervisor" if you see anyone taking video, and you even tell them "don't answer their questions". why? it is their job to answer questions from citizens! THIS IS LEGAL, PROTECTED ACTIVITY. you've taken what could have been a great opportunity to correct an ongoing government embarrassment and bring some peace and understanding, and turned it into an escalation of some perceived battle or war. very bad job, u.s. government.

I cannot wait to become a US Postal Inspector. I am almost done with my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Forensics, and Business Administration. I also have Postal experience as a Casual, MHA & FTR Mail Handler.
Postal Service doesn't hire full time anymore, you would be better served taking your talents somewhere else.
