- The arrival of the new Temerario - a replacement for the Huracán - now means Lamborghini offers all its models with hybrid powertrains. Hmmm…
But fret not, for this is Lambo’s take on hybridisation. So, while the Huracán's naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 has been swapped for a mere 4.0-litre V8, it has gained twin turbos and over 150bhp in the process. And, just for good measure, Lamborghini has allied it to not one, not two, but three electric motors, for a 907bhp total.
That, and compared to the now-defunct V10, the forced-induction V8 revs higher. To the tune of 10,000rpm! Still want that six-cylinder McLaren Artura or Ferrari 296 GTB?

Agree - they bottled the design. The front is far too boxy when viewed head on, almost as if cost savings was a a partial goal. The Huracan looked sculpted.

@@KCScorpion34 I think you mean updated Gallardo design. Fun fact: the camouflage that was used on the Temerario tests mules had Gallardo headlight stickers on them so the resemblance to the Gallardo is definitely intentional.

Anyone who currently owns a Huracan or an Aventador will be very happy their cars will be the best looking Lambos for another 10 years.
Those supercars with a tablet in them are all going to have a hard time turning to classics when their software will look drastically outdated anyway. Those screens will look like Windows NT looks to us now.

I think the Revuelto does a good job at a replacement, but you're right here. This looks boring and too yet too complex at the same time. The Hurrican is definitely better looking and more 'Lambo'

Although it has more horsepower, an RPM at 10.000. I wouldn't pick that over the Huracan, here's the reason why:
1. Huracan has a 5.2L V10 engine.
2. Huracan front lights look more aggressive and mean-looking.
3. Some of the Huracan's models have a full-class window that lets you see the full craftmanship of the V10 engine.
But, the replacement variant also scores some points, that being the V8 engine instead of fully electric and the modern and futuristic design of the car.
As Richard Hammond once said that Lamborghini is known for its craziness, whereas this one lacks it
This is just the base model, the cheap version, wait until all the others come out... The green one with the red flashings looked absolutely awesome...

Top Gear ignoring the fact that most Lamborghinis are named after fighting bulls, being the Temerario no exeption. And it’s not me who say that, it’s Mr. Stephan Winkelmann himself. So, to be fair, the reckless translation comes from spanish not from italian, though the word exists in both languages.

Love it. I was never a big fan of the crazy lambo looks, but this looks like a regular sedan in the front and a jet fighter in the back. They might be classy cars one day, who knows.

I agree I've never felt more boring seeing a supercar, the only relief is the rear which looks great and doesn't suit the car at all because of how monotonous the front is

This is sharp looking. I normally am not drawn to the look of the lambo regardless of how i'm impressed by the performance. I really like how simplified the look has become. The color is the best i've ever seen...hmmm... yum...

Doesn't feel like a Lambo. Something is off. I think because it's not an angry sharp wedge. All lines have been smoothed out to look more generic. Headlights give me a '97 Camaro vibe.

Generic is definitely the right word. The front looks like every single car on the road with those squinty DRLs. The rest of it looks like every other coupé.
[6:56] It's not /that/ big of a deal, but some basic Itailian pronunciation knowledge for a professional auto reporter who covers Italian vehicles and who is recording a voice-over including Italian words shouldn't be out of the question. If this was some indie UA-cam influence, I'd give mispronouncing the Italian word for "city" a pass, but from Top Gear, I'd expect someone to at least spend ten seconds on Google Translate to check that.
I own Huracan. It is a very exciting machine. 3270 lbs V10 with 610 HP and AWD. Drama and engineering are amazing.
I had (and still have) many exciting cars in the past and present (MB AMG GTR, Nissan GTR, 911 Turbo ... amongst others) but the V10 on Lamborghini is something special.
I am on the list for Temerario and was contacted by my local Lamborghini dealer to submit my build. I do not think I will be doing that.
New "baby" Lambo is 10 inches longer than the current Huracan. Has 3 (heavy) electric motors, and in house developed V8 TT that revs to 10,000 rpm. Lots of potential problems in the last sentence.
The car will most likely be 300+ pounds heavier I was told. Now we are talking GT cruisers, not proper sports car any more. Something along Aston Martin lines. Figure between 3,600 and 3,700 lbs. I remember my Nissan GTR was a very nice car in a straight line.... Wear and tear on brakes and the car was tremendous after 30 minutes on track. And I mean tremendous.
I trust the Audi V10. Very reliable. In house developed V8 TT that revs at 10k rpm by a small team of engineers who were sourcing out previous engines before. I ran lots of new product development in my life and there is know-how that money cannot buy. You have to make mistakes in order to learn. Just ask Toyota when it tried to make a fully electric SUV.
On top of that I know people that own Ferrari 296 hybrid. Couple of them are bailing out and going back to 488s, F8s and Huracan. Can't keep them out of the shop. Hybrid technology for high end sports cars is not there yet in my opinion. Maybe Porsche can pull something. We will see.
I am a bit disappointed with the design of Temerario too. Looks soft and bloated. Huracan has sharp edges and looks like an angry cat that is ready to jump. This looks like a sedate middle aged bull that ate too much hay
I tried many cars you have and perhaps you should try an Alpine A110 in whichever version. Preferably on B roads or better, on mountain roads
The Huracan is the only Lamborghini I would love to own; I could even afford the insurance, I checked.
PS Although I identify as a millionaire, my check would bounce when attempting to make the purchase.
3,500 lbs is the line I draw. Above it are GTs below it are sports cars/supercars.
AWD is not a proper supercar
Turbocharged is not a proper supercar
RWD is a proper supercar
Naturally aspirated is a proper supercar
Mid Engined is a proper supercar
Manual is a proper supercar, but a dual clutch transmission is forgivable.
The Corvette Z06 is good, but too heavy.
The Huracan beats it because it is lighter. Also has better sound. Not that the Z06 sounds bad.
@@benjaminwiner6220 My 2008 Z06 is around 3100 lbs with a naturally aspirated 7L. 6-speed transmission and a 50/50 weight distribution. Slightly modified engine and exhaust on coil-over suspension. It would give the big boys a run for their money at a fraction of the cost... PS I still would like a Huracan if money was no object...
The z06 definitely sound better than the huracan, and it's alot faster despite being 100-200 pounds heavier, it's as proper of a supercar it can be@benjaminwiner6220

So basically it doesn't really need all the hybrid stuff but it's necessary to compete today.
That screaming V8,6 speed manual is more than enough.
I just purchased one of the last 2024 Huracan STO in July. Absolutely love it and I am glad I did not wait for one of these. The Huracan lines seem much sharper and more aggressive. Zero visibility out back is only negative but other than that it is a beast of a car. So raw.

The Centenario and Aventador SV/SVJ are still the peak Lamborghini design in my opinion.

No mention of its porky weight ? The Huracan was 1379 KG Dry Weight (1533 KG with fluids) - The Temerario is 1690 KG Dry Weight (easily 1840+ KG with fluids) ... 1840 KG !!?? That's over 300 KG HEAVIER than the outgoing Huracan !! ?? !! ?? That's an improvement ?!? "Oh just chuck some electric motors and turbos in it and that'll compensate for the extra 300 kg heft..." ?? ??

it’s refined, reduced and reimagined in a new way that looks more blade runner than ipod. i actually really like it for that, it’s intelligently moving into a fresh look that is more modern and natural.

When the Huracan first came out people complained that it looked tame compared to the Gallardo (even the legendary Top Gear trio said the same thing) and now people say that the Huracan's successor looks tame compared to the Huracan.
For me i wont ever like it unless a sick bodykit comes out for it or hell v10 swaps.
