Something else that NBA fans don't seem to realy know about him: he's the son of a famous French basketball player, Stéphane, who had a long and fruitful career including winning a silver medal in the Olympics in Sydney 2000, playing 34 minutes out of 40 (the most out of any player) in a close loss to the USA. Zaccharie has got some of his father's basketball IQ and is FOR SURE well-rounded and well-grounded. He's been in a profesionnal basketball environment literally his entire life! Dude you clearly dont watch and understand basketball....The hawks missed on this draft big time. We could care less how many dramatic music you add this was a horrible pick.
I cannot understand the people that want to draft a guy that barely played in the NBL vs a guy that played well in the Euroleague and French NLB league. Australian NBL league guys all struggle hard in the NBA. Taking Risacher over Sarr anyday.
As a hawks fan myself, i honestly wanted Zacc more because he seems like more of a fit then Sarr. Saddiq Bey is hurt and our only forwards are JJ and Hunter. and for our center, we have clint and our backup would be Onyeka and bruno. Zacc can shoot and he is a pretty decent defender. I think it was a really good pick
As a hawks fan I’m happy about the pick I feel like it’s a good piece if we can just move Hunter, Capella, and Murray we could start to develop a solid roster for the next few years
Let’s get Brandon Ingram and Jonas. PG: Trae SG: Brandon Ingram SF: Zacc PF: Jalen C: Big O Backup: PG: Kobe SG: Bogi SF: Lundy/Bey PF: Mo Guye C: Jonas V
As an Atlanta native, we rather have Kevin Durant over Brandon Ingram. Clint Capela, DeAndre Hunter and Kobe Bufkin to the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant. Great free agent additions to the AtlantaHawks: 6'11 F/C - James Wiseman (-Pistons), 7'0 C - Neemias Queta (-Celtics), PG - D'Angelo Russell(-Lakers) and PG - Isaiah Thomas (-Suns). Current outgoing/departing Hawks player due to free agency: SF - Saddiq Bey (Restricted); SG - Garrison Mathews (Team Option); SG - Wesley Matthews; G/F [2WP] - Vit Krejci (Restricted); G [2WP] - Seth Lundy (Restricted); G [2WP] Trent Forrest (Restricted); G [2WP] Dylan Windler (Restricted). @@tommymy210 What you mean? Clint Capela has been the top Center for the Atlanta Hawks for some time now, and the same with De'Andre Hunter at Small Forward. That offer would be a very very very generous offer from the Atlanta Hawks, and I added young Point Guard Kobe Bufkin. All for Kevin Durant.
Hawks fan here!!! I’m excited about this pick especially the players we have now. He doesn’t have to worry about his dribbling now with Trae on running point and Jalen Johnson ability to drive or shoot . We just need him to play solid defense for now and the rest of his will come.
That's what im thinking aswell, big thing with the Markkanen comparison is getting stronger but that's who I think he should try to mould his game after. He also said Klay which is similar
I have said this before the problem is most fans aren’t actually basketball fans or know the game at all. They all just want a player like wemby every draft or they think the entire draft class sucks. Anyone trying to down play this class shouldn’t call themselves basketball fans.
Risacher gonna cook. All the haters gonna eat their words. And we're gonna watch Sarr repeatedly moved off the block on his drives getting swatted; he has shaky mechanics, no off the dribble game, poor 3 points shooting.
@@KeepItPZeus he will be a perfect fit for a team with good defense and a pick n roll point guard but the wizards won’t use him like that because they don’t have a good backcourt like the hawks
@@KeepItPZeus Its not that he will be a bust, but more like "lets have realistic expectations." I was enticed by that NBL mix tape until i watched his full weakness breakdown. He's got a long way to develop on the ball. His offense is theoretical.. It reminds me too much of the Mobely hype, who showed flashes but never made huge leaps on ball. .. No knock on Sarr, he should make an all defense one day, but he is beginning his nba career far less polished than any of the all star centers today.
As a hawks fan, this made me very happy. I’m too casual to actually know who’s gonna be good and who isn’t, so I was upset about having Zaccarie just cause everyone else was. This made me understand.
He is considered as a bust because he will become an aaron gordon or annunoby player 3rd option and not a jokic wemby mitchell etc but sometimes its not only the no 1 superstar
The draft was just weak, it is what it is. He’ll still be a solid player with a pretty high floor. Don’t think he’ll be a straight up bust at all, just somewhat limited upside for a first overall pick. A good piece if you’re building around Jalen Johnson, who is going to be one of the top 20 guys in the league very soon.
Seems like John Collins, but a slightly better shooter. I will start watching the hawks if they pick up a big body 7 ft guy. Capela can hold his own but I want someone who can punch back in the paint. I would trade trey young for a big center and a good passing point guard who isn't necessary as good at creating. Trey's style will not win a title IMO
Lol this guys is smoking crack even mentioning Durant and Wemby in the same sentence.... clear foreign fan of Risache. Got another weak wing player that's going to have similar career to Taejon Prince. Expect that! We did manage to get a bigger piece of popularity in Europe though for more team publicity and market shares! Frank Mason btw, has more NBA knowledge from 1 day at a practice than 6Man does in his life. I would agree absolutely Zaccharie is a 4-10 pick in any other draft and wouldn't have been 1st this year if not for toxic politics working against the Hawks. Don't discount the cowards we have running the team either, they shoulda taken Sarr anyways at #1 and then traded or let him sit. That tends to straighten out a young mans priorities pretty quickly when he finds out he's not getting paid for not playing. Side note.... Brandon Miller isn't blowing anyone away either, lol!
And he's blocking point guards in Europe which are historically not as fast or tall as NBA point guards. He's not going to be any better than Hunter, ... I take that back, if he can play for a full season he's got Hunter by a land slide... problem is we're pushing JJ to PF which is outta his SF position and increases more likelihood of injury because of forced rebounding and inside contact! We needed Clingan to move on from Clint and open up playing time for Okongwu as well as cutting 25mil a year at our center position.
I will give him full credit on a nice high, quick release. I see him being outside spot-up shooter or fast break scoring. I don't expect a generational talent at the #1 pick, but you should have a top 3 scoring option on your team atleast. I want to believe your right and I'm the idiot in the room here!
The draft is weak this year. No generational talents, but a group of talented players that have the potential to be solid NBA role players. With that being said, nobody wants their first #1 pick in 50 years when there is no stand out option lol. I can understand the frustration.
The mistake they made was not the selection, but rather missing the opportunity to trade down to the Wizards and get an additional asset. I guess the argument is that "Sarr didn't want to play in ATL so the Wizards have the leverage anyway."
@@keithwalter506 think you missed the point of my comment. I know this. My comment was not about drafting Sarr, it was about capitalizing on the _opportunity_ to draft him before anyone else. Thus, you could trade with, for example, the Wizards to acquire the 2nd pick along with future assets.
besides trae of course bogi and jj are my favorite players to watch. I'm calling zach zero cuz he reminds me of zero from holes lowkey lol. he seems like he'll be a great fit. I'm glad we didn't get that aarr guy
I mean I didn't love the pick i much preferred them to take Sarr. With that said however you have a point a tall 3 point bomber that should be an average at worst rebounder and an average at worst defender, you could do worse. But to me the perfect Atlanta Plan (tho really controversial) would have been to 1) Trade Clint Capella to the Warriors and get yourself Wiggins and Kuminga. The Dubs wanted to keep Klay and are desperate for cap relief and a big man, this could have gotten done. 2) Draft Alex Sarr - your front court is now 2 insane athletic tall wings in Kuminga and Johnson and then you got Sarr. Your front court is young and dynamic. 3) Trade Trae young for all your picks back to San Antonio plus cap filler. Not 1000% San Antionio does this but i think you can find a way to get your picks back and filler from them. 4) Trade Hunter and Bogey for picks and young depth. New Team Murray, Wiggins, Kuminga, Johnson, Sarr with Oneyka and resign Bey coming off the bench and what ever cap filler you get for Hunter or Bogey. This should be a decent enough defensive team an extremely young and athletic team with a ton of cap room and all their picks back.
Having good role players who defend that hard goes a long way, look at the Suns, they got swept with stacked superstars its dumb. Hawks would be dumb as well if they let go trae young now
After a couple summer league games, the most impressive thing I've seen from Zacch is his ability to navigate the court It reminds me (in a weird way) of Luka Garza when he was at Iowa. Garza was just constantly in the exact right spot for the ball to wind up in his hands in scoring position. Despite not being good at really anything else, that alone won him college player of the year. Watching Zacch I'm seeing him do the same thing off-ball on offense (but everywhere on the floor, not just under the basket like Garza) where he's just always in a spot where he could score if given the ball. Good lord when he has Trae Young and Jalen Johnson passing him the ball instead of Nikola Djurisic and Keaton Wallance....watch out
Sooo Hawks should be excited about ceiling Harrison Barnes, Nic Batum and Lauri Markenon at pick 1????😂😂😂😂😂. At number you swing big for high ceiling! Also Lauri struggled for a long while being shipped around and has regressed since his height…let’s be honest with ourselves. No fan would want this kind of player at #1 given this kind of ceiling smh
As a hawks fan: The thing with Zach is that he's the type of player that its either superstar or bust with him theres no in between, kinda like cam reddish, and our concern is that if he becomes a bust it will be a waste of a 1st pick that everybody damn well knows we wont be getting another in the next 30 years. I know this draft doesnt have a consensus projected star player and everybody says its a role players draft but every draft in the last 20 years featured at least 1 all-nba guy, and we know we'll never win with trae as a 1st option and on the other side of the spectrum he's the only all-nba caliber player we've had since DOMINIQUE WILKINS, like cmon now, we cant be picking as if we got a top 3 pick every year like the Rockets our future is already in the hands of the spurs and we dealt DJ for a bag of chips😭 We are not a tanking type organization and if were good enough to be mediocre and get in the play-in thats what we'll do alongside the (Pacers, Jazz, Heat, Kings,Nets and Clippers) so when you get the 1st pick you gotta make the most of it maybe even turn into more 1st rounders ... Man the Hawks will make me go to therapy😂...
as a flip comment kinda love the Murray trade for the Pelicans. Getting Murray in moves CJ off the point and should allow them to now look to trade both CJ and Ingram. The starting lineup for the Pels needs to have Murphy in it. Maybe look to the cavs try to trade Ingram and a pick to them for Jarret Allen. Cavs probs need to break up the Allen Mobley pairing may be willing to do this. Then look to a team that needs a shooter and to unload a contract for CJ just looking for 2-3 depth pieces really. Not sure who but a Murray, Murphy, herb Jones, Zion, Allen starting 5 is looking real good and surprisingly not that expensive right now. You actually get a bunch of cap space to go out and fill out your bench.
The NBA draft is absolute garbage. Nearly every player drafted these days in the lottery would have been a 2nd round project in the 80s and 90s. None of these players are worthy of being lottery picks. Even the ones that are decent are going to be in year 3 or 4 before they become reliable players on an NBA roster. 90% of the time you are signing up for a few wasted seasons developing players that couldn't even consistently produce in the G League. I think the only solution is to eliminate the draft entirely. Its completely unnecessary and stupid. Just make everyone that declares for the NBA a Free Agent and the teams with cap room can sign the players they can afford. The rest can sign for the minimum on teams that have roster spots available or prove themselves worthy in Summer League. Then players will be forced to sink or swim. It will improve the NBA overnight. The NBA won't do this bc they like being in control of which teams get better and when.
People thought Luka wouldn't be good either. American fans automatically think that an international player won't be good. Especially if they aren't melinanted. I like Risacher and think this was the right pick. Might have to hit a few Hawks games this season now.
1st pick, 2nd pick did not even look great let alone the 55th pick. What are you expecting from a guy like from 55th pick. He at least scored 10 plus in his last two games with the W..
I get social media was made for people to share opinions but I wish it wasn’t always so negative. Since when have people not praised 6’10 skilled 2-way wings. Dudes like an uninjured mpj
I'm a wizards fan. I would rather have him than Sarr. If Sarr pans out, he might be the next Rudy Gobert. The wiz dumped Gafford mid season, who might be better than Gobert.
I don't get the hate, I think he could become an MPJ type player. With that comparison though, he will be a better passer and defender than MPJ is, maybe not the same level of shooter but not too far below that. Not many people can shoot like MPJ though so even still he will be great.
Everybody is predicting stuff like they are psychics and no everything. You can’t predict how hard a players is willing to work to be great. We see games and stat lines but not the time they put in behind the scenes. People with no dreams or aspirations love to kill someone else’s dreams.
He's for sure the second best player in the draft it makes sense why they took him. What I'm expecting is that Zaccharie will end up being a better offensive player next year than sarr. But sarr will be better defensively.
People acting like the Hawks are putting the ball in his hands for 48 minutes a night. Nah, be a defensive guy and move off ball on offence snd Trae will find you

I agree that he seems to lack the "killer instinct" that makes the franchise players but he will be a great all-around player, give him time to develop.
last year after playing one preseason game, people were calling Wemby a bust, give the young guys some time ffs
Exactly and I remember Trey young having a very terrible summer league stretch and they were calling him a bust too
They called him the French Nic Batum, and Batum is already French so he's just Nic Batum.
Batum the goat though
@@6manYT from why tf he in to that's why tf he in ❤️.
Looking into him a little bit it gives me flashbacks to when NY draft Kristaps. And man they were wrong!
It is generally underestimated everything Atlanta has, Trae, number one, Jalen Johnson.... If this pick had fallen to the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Warriors, New York or Miami we would be talking about a great player.
Oh yeah and also Atlanta is considered A smaller market compared to those the bias is real and I believe that he'll be a great prospect And player as well. We can only hope for the best for that man
Bro… this is the storyline … the hate is ridiculous. Very good point.
how good is jalen johnson? im not familiar with his game
@@ikedatike2533Atlanta is absolutely not a smaller market wtf it's the 6th largest metro in the country, has the biggest movie scene outside of LA, the majority of hip hop has been coming out of here in the last decade plus, it's the home of NBA on TNT, home of CNN, busiest airport in world, etc.
@@villainova in basketball terms it is a small market and I don't know why it gets more hate than it deserves.
Dude you clearly dont watch and understand basketball....The hawks missed on this draft big time. We could care less how many dramatic music you add this was a horrible pick.
Okay but who did you want instead?
Great vid. Risacher and Johnson duo gonna go crazy
PG: Trae
SG: Brandon Ingram
SF: Zacc
PF: Jalen
C: Big O
Backup:
PG: Kobe
SG: Bogi
SF: Lundy/Bey
PF: Mo Guye
C: Jonas V
As an Atlanta native, we rather have Kevin Durant over Brandon Ingram.
Clint Capela, DeAndre Hunter and Kobe Bufkin to the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant.
Great free agent additions to the AtlantaHawks:
6'11 F/C - James Wiseman (-Pistons), 7'0 C - Neemias Queta (-Celtics), PG - D'Angelo Russell(-Lakers) and PG - Isaiah Thomas (-Suns).
Current outgoing/departing Hawks player due to free agency:
SF - Saddiq Bey (Restricted);
SG - Garrison Mathews (Team Option);
SG - Wesley Matthews;
G/F [2WP] - Vit Krejci (Restricted);
G [2WP] - Seth Lundy (Restricted);
G [2WP] Trent Forrest (Restricted);
G [2WP] Dylan Windler (Restricted).
Proposed Atlanta Hawks Roster:
[C] Onyeka Okongwu
& Neemias Queta;
[PF] Kevin Durant?,
James Wiseman (F/C)?,
Mouhamed Gueye
& Bruno Fernando;
[SF] Jalen Johnson,
Zaccharie Risacher
& AJ Griffin;
[SG] Dejounte Murray,
Bogdan Bogdanovic
& 2024 2nd Round Draft Pick;
[PG] Trae Young,
D'Angelo Russell?
& Isaiah Thomas?.
Bro no way u getting KD that cheap you need draft picks and at least one good younger player
@@Mr.Majestic77 suns got kd for four firsts and mikal bridges. If the hawks ever offered that they would get laughed at
Hawks fan here!!! I’m excited about this pick especially the players we have now. He doesn’t have to worry about his dribbling now with Trae on running point and Jalen Johnson ability to drive or shoot . We just need him to play solid defense for now and the rest of his will come.
why are people even excited about Sarr? nothing about him pops and he's already displaying attitude issues. he's the next Ayton, at best
Agreed. I saw his ceiling as a Maurkenen-Michael Porter Jr hybrid. In this era that’s virtually the meta
That's what im thinking aswell, big thing with the Markkanen comparison is getting stronger but that's who I think he should try to mould his game after. He also said Klay which is similar
@@6manYTRisacher definitely had the frame to add muscle. Very broad.
And we're gonna watch Sarr repeatedly moved off the block on his drives getting swatted; he has shaky mechanics, no off the dribble game, poor 3 points shooting.
do u think Sarr is gonna be a bust or a superstar?
@@KeepItPZeus he will be a perfect fit for a team with good defense and a pick n roll point guard but the wizards won’t use him like that because they don’t have a good backcourt like the hawks
@@Soggy-cat9 He's a perfect fit for that, but he wants to be on ball and so does his agents. Curious if Kuzma n Pool give him the ball.
Un peu de croissant
as a french who watch French prospect he's like a Franz wagner he's NBA ready a solid 3andD his best potential it's a Klay Thompson Wing
ngl bro nobody was sayin scoot was a better prospect then vic
Glad to see another 6Man video on the Hawks. It's been tough since the 2021 playoff run. Hope to see the pieces coming together to build around Trae.
He is considered as a bust because he will become an aaron gordon or annunoby player 3rd option and not a jokic wemby mitchell etc but sometimes its not only the no 1 superstar
What a clean video, thank you from an Atlanta Hawks fan
The draft was just weak, it is what it is. He’ll still be a solid player with a pretty high floor. Don’t think he’ll be a straight up bust at all, just somewhat limited upside for a first overall pick.
A good piece if you’re building around Jalen Johnson, who is going to be one of the top 20 guys in the league very soon.
Bad pick, not because he’s not talented….bad pick because he’s not what the hawks needed.
JESUS IS COMING SOON 🙏🏾🦁✝️🩸
As hawks fans we got let bro play and grow. Instead we bashing him right after the draft
I also want him to succeed more now that everyone thinks he won’t.
As a hawks fan i was doubting him at first when the pick happened, but after watching him play for a bit i knew we made the right decision.
Definitely want your #1 pick to give you 25 5 and 5…
Which person in this draft was a guaranteed 25 5 and 5?
An excellent and much needed video
Alex Sarr is going to be the Rookie of the Year
I can't believe we let AJ Griffin go for second rounders.
Stupid
johnson and him are somply the same body type
If you get Sarr, then you gotta get rid of Capella or Big O.. Or both… With ZR, you only have to get rid of Deandre Hunter and his contract.
@@BlueGrovyle I know.. I was just pointing out that even though they didn’t trade with the Wizards, this was still a great outcome.
@@keithwalter506 yeah, I'm fine with the selection, provided that they are retooling and not rebuilding. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
6man + Cinnamon Toast Crunch= good breakfast
besides trae of course bogi and jj are my favorite players to watch. I'm calling zach zero cuz he reminds me of zero from holes lowkey lol. he seems like he'll be a great fit. I'm glad we didn't get that aarr guy
Im excited for getting this dude. Can keep both guards now if not getting value
Hawks would be dumb as well if they let go trae young now
After a couple summer league games, the most impressive thing I've seen from Zacch is his ability to navigate the court
It reminds me (in a weird way) of Luka Garza when he was at Iowa.
As a hawks fan:
The thing with Zach is that he's the type of player that its either superstar or bust with him theres no in between, kinda like cam reddish, and our concern is that if he becomes a bust it will be a waste of a 1st pick that everybody damn well knows we wont be getting another in the next 30 years.
I know this draft doesnt have a consensus projected star player and everybody says its a role players draft but every draft in the last 20 years featured at least 1 all-nba guy, and we know we'll never win with trae as a 1st option and on the other side of the spectrum he's the only all-nba caliber player we've had since DOMINIQUE WILKINS, like cmon now, we cant be picking as if we got a top 3 pick every year like the Rockets our future is already in the hands of the spurs and we dealt DJ for a bag of chips😭
We are not a tanking type organization and if were good enough to be mediocre and get in the play-in thats what we'll do alongside the (Pacers, Jazz, Heat, Kings,Nets and Clippers) so when you get the 1st pick you gotta make the most of it maybe even turn into more 1st rounders ...
Not sure who
but a Murray, Murphy, herb Jones, Zion, Allen starting 5 is looking real good and surprisingly not that expensive right now.
He reminds me of MPJ
Reminds me of Klay Thompson. Solid pick. We just need a coach/system to put the pieces together in a way that leads to WINNING.
Give the skilled active 6'10 European guy all day. Only thing they lack is playoff defense but that can be learned with effort.
