100% Agree
@@DaniloVicari especially with californication its just perfect
er nah
Yup, play for the music, not the ego. Some songs call for facemelters, some suit simplicity better. There's a video on Brandon Khoo's channel about Ringo was a great drummer and it connects well with that idea.
Also, just because something is technically easy doesn't mean it's easy to put the right feel on it
Easy doesn't = bad

Wake me up when September ends is a good solo. It fits the mood of the song . Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go
I don't really consider a guitar solo. It's more of a musical interlude.
@Keshav Dorai the backing progression makes no difference. This one is really more of musical break that happens to be played on the guitar. Billie Joe isn't much of a soloist. I would say the same of American Idiot and Holiday.
@@dr.bunterhidenbrobruh5502 it is a solo
Watch this live at bullet in a bible
Its simple but perfect
This song is about his dad dying

In my opinion its the best solo of all time even though others are more iconic or tougher
Its a solo
Its the perfect solo
Billie Joe is an underrated guitarist
Realise what this means 2 him its perfect and definitely a solo
@@Trentcantdefend Uh, it's not a real solo, Billie Joe is a 2nd rate guitarist, he doesn't solo because he CAN'T, none of his solos are improvized, I wouldn't waste my time watching any live performances. I saw them play once like 15 years ago and they had a second guitarist who was playing all the hard parts. He's a hack who can barely pull off simple power chords, open chords and barre chords let alone complex solos. On top of that, he's a pompous douche.... "One minute? What am I, Justin fucking Bieber?".... Uhh, yeah, more or less. Actually Bieber is less of a douche and possible more talented.
@@dr.bunterhidenbrobruh5502 dude saying he cant solo is so much bullshit, the guy has played guitar for over 30 years. If you play guitar for that amount of time anyone can solo. He just makes a choice that fits the songs he writes, if you look at fuck time from the DOS album it's a pretty good blues solo for example or Amanda from tré. He can write and play solos, don't be an elitist just because he doesn't shred at 6000mph like Vai, Eddy van Halen or John Petrucci.
No matter how simple and easy that High and Dry solo is, it will always give me goosebumps
big agree, it's perfect
Jonny Greenwood will always be a legend.

Agreed. Avenged sevenfold is probably my biggest inspiration. foREVor
And wmuwse
Picoper Love Californication solo👏
I wouldn't say the solo of Don't Stop me Now is easy, it's not fast, but those bends are not easy to nail.
Agreed. A LOT of guitarists can play accurately, fast and can nail advanced techniques like sweep picking but then sound like they are drowning a cat when they bend strings. String bending, I guess, is only easy if you have a good ear for pitch.
There's a guy that belts out carbon copy Yngwie arpeggios at my local jam night, but I know he wouldn't do justice to Wonderful Tonight for example. All of these are somewhat easy to play buts ome are quite hard to play *well*.
Was gonna say the same. There’s some pretty important subtleties in that solo that can be tricky.
Same with the solo for Killer Queen, it sounds pretty straight-forward, but messing up the bends can make it sound quite awful, lol, so it's a bit tricky.
As a person who has been playing guitar for a month I can confirm that it is easy. But something like Holiday is much easier so it probably shouldn't be on this list.
tell it how it is you got that right bang on easy to play hard to play well

Seven Nation Army's solo should've been in that list. That's easier than 90% of the ones on there
Valiant Studios - Noah George Music not if you play the chords while you play the solo
@@artist91fb Yea it is. Either way, that's not the way that the original song was written. It only played notes.
Valiant Studios - Noah George Music that song is generally really bad. Don’t get the hype
@@gub4941 I don't know why you don't get the hype. The song is simplistic in nature, yes. But bad? Definitely not. The bass (pedal) line does its sole job, to provide impulses. Those impulses are what make the song so hyped up, both through the music and through the fanbase. I challenge you to listen to the song again while head banging to the impulses. If you still aren't feeling it, well then you're just not into it, and that's perfectly okay. Just don't talk to me ever again (jk jk).
Valiant Studios - Noah George Music alright. It’s not bad. Just really REALLY, overplayed.
Never thought I’d see the day where the word “easiest” is associated with an avenged sevenfold solo

So Far away and Wish you were here songs' solos aren’t solos, they are emotions
They may be easy to play, but they are'nt at the same time
I'm a beginner and started playing because of avenged sevenfold and so far away is the first solo I ever learned and it's easy but hard af to af because you just cant capture the emotions in your sound the way syn can in his playing even though the solo is simple to play
Nirvana was by far the most influential band in my early days of playing guitar. Cobain did a lot for me in the realm of learning bar chords, basic rhythm, muting strings, and simplistic solos that provided a solid foundation. No surprise to see them on this list multiple times, simplistic yet catchy and legendary licks
CheeseBurger Dave and Green Day
Wow, im a big nirvana fan, and i play alot of their songs on guitar and ive been told i sing some of them well, they have done alot for me and its thanks to cobain, dave and krist
Green Day for me.
And he plays in the wrong key...
Hopefully you moved on and eventually found better influences. Cobain was a pretty awful guitarist in many respects.
Ace frehley was a master at this, his guitar solos were that that easy but weren’t impossible to play, and as he stated in an interview “I’ve always thought the best guitar solos are the ones you can hum”...Ace was amazing at making the solo fit into the common theme of the song, and I think what Ace made so special was that he wasn’t the typical shred guitar player, he had his own special style and sound, that inspired millions of guitar players, and a lot of the guitar players you hear from your favorite bands like...Kirk Hammet, Dime bag Darrell, Dave MUSTAINE, Slash, Tom morello, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Mike McCready, Joey and Tommy Ramone, And John 5 just to name a few.
That "I Wanna Be Sedated" solo tho
I will learn the avenged sevenfold solo, it never occurred to me that this so far away solo was very easy

I'm not a great guitarist by any means...just an old metalhead frontman that loves to play. But ( only speaking for myself here ) you ever notice that most of the coolest riffs that sound difficult are often the easiest to play ? For example...one of my faves is the intro to Whitesnake's "Still of the Night"...couldn't believe how simple it is to play.

These are relatively simple solos on paper. But some of these are not especially easy to play *well*, particularly where the accuracy of the string bends are crucial. I'm thinking the Floyd/Clapton/RHCP/Queen examples.
I'm a string bending snob I guess, but it's fair to say that some quite accomplished players, especially those who think that sweep picking and tapping are the important skills to have, wouldn't be able to nail some of these the way you have.
