A quick question..i have nhl 3.5 bags that are unopened but are 8 year's old ...can I still use them..

You should stay away from NHL at all, I have repainted my front of the house two years ago, it is soaking wet, I have to undertake the same job again, but this time like for like. You should use only hot lime especially for old buildings.

No no no you are confusing your hydrolic lime with hydrated lime you must use it the same day like cement if you knock it back up the following day it will get weeker and weeker until you will find it will not set and you will be scraping it back out
