@@MitchellTickle1962 we love learning and sharing this kind of stuff! We are fascinated by LBL.
I did not know what an MVU is... this was VERY helpful. Thank you.
Glad to be informative. Thanks for watching.
Thanks! This was very helpful. I was looking for some information on exploring lbl on a motorcycle and was directed to your video.
Awesome! Hope it helps. We've never explored on a motorcycle, but that could definitely be fun out there!
I love exploring all of the roads at LBL. Just found your channel and subbing.
Welcome! Awesome and Thank You, let us know of any secret spots we miss.
@@HEKNBAK I have Mapped a lot of it on Gaia either driving my truck or in a friends Jeep. My favorite thing is looking at the old cemeteries.
We like to do that too, and we get really excited when we find old foundations, cars, etc also, lol! We're trying to get better about marking things we find. We often forget to do that!
Thank you sooo much. Me and my buddy are going there in September and we're debating vs reservations and the Backcountry permit, ✅ know what we're doing now.
So glad it was helpful! LBL is an awesome place - hope you have a great adventure!
There are a couple 300 and 200 roads that look fine at the beginning and are fine at the end, but the middle sections you can get in over your head and you only have the option of powering through and then going back out or backing back out the way you came in.
Yes! That's why we are a little hesitant to pull our camper down some of them until we have scoped them out first. It's an off-road trailer with great ground clearance, but if you watched our Spaas Creek Trail video, that only goes so far, lol!
We have found some beautiful dispersed campsites at the end of many of them.
Very well done and thorough. Thankyou!!!
Thank you so much! Hope it is helpful!
Very informative thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for watching - hope it was helpful!
Very thorough guide to LBL! I enjoy places like this and exploring but knowing me, I'd get stuck without 4 wheel drive and then wouldn't be able to call for help, LOL. Enjoyed the scenery.
Haha! That is always one of our concerns too, lol! We did find ourselves in one spot where we thought we were gonna have a problem, but after a couple tries we were able to get ourselves out! I'd be lying though if I said I wasn't a little scared!
Great information, thanks for sharing!

Thank you! So glad it helps. Hope you have a great time there! We always enjoy our visits.
This is so informative! nobody we talked to at visitor center or gate houses told us this. definitely going back and checking this stuff out. great video!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for commenting!
Wow! Thanks for sharing. This was a lot of useful information for me. I plan on riding the area in 2024 and am looking forward to it more now that I understand the road numbering system.
Glad it was helpful! Have fun!
Some roads more than our van could handle. Whew! Nice presentation, Gina...💫
Thanks Daisy! There were a couple we weren't sure we would want to pull our trailer down either even though it's an off-road trailer, lol!

Great video. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
When you say a high clearence vehicle is needed, how high of a lift would you recommend?
We just have a 2 inch leveling kit on ours, and that was fine. There were a couple places though that we decided not to go down just to be safe since we were solo. There are many roads that could be done in any vehicle, especially a truck or SUV that already has a little more ground clearance. Some of the more remote roads get very muddy after a lot of rain so might want a little more if you want to do those. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
what songs/singers did you use in the video
Andalusia by Kylie Dailey, Beauty in the Mundane by Bird of Figment and Trick of the Memory by Victor Lundberg. All the music we use in our videos is licensed through Epidemic Sound. Hope you enjoyed! I love picking out music for our videos!
Are any of the roads gated?
Occasionally we will come across a gate, but that really hasn't been an issue out here. Usually when we see a gate, you can tell that something has happened beyond the gate to cause it to be closed. In many national forests we have come across roads that are gated to prevent vehicle traffic even though the road is still passable, but we haven't seen much of that in LBL.
You better be carrying a powerful weapon in this location 👽🦶🐶
There is always a risk anywhere we go, but we try to be prepared for whatever we might encounter.
Lots of roads are blocked off now and all growed up. They don't take care of a lot of it like they did years ago.
@@DC4L_86 we are seeing that in a lot of national forests unfortunately. We hear about budget cuts and personnel shortages, which I'm sure is a factor, but who knows what the whole story may be. We know in some places, areas have been closed due to them being damaged or trashed.
Gated roads lead to Dogman spawning areas.
What out.. supposed be werewolf s down there..
We've heard that!
Sounds like i shouldn't take my Prius down anything other then 100s lol
@@crazykev5 Lol! Probably not, but that would be an adventure!
