Robert, I just discovered your channel. It is without a doubt the best of its genre on UA-cam! The narration, the videography, the music: you are so talented! 36k subscribers is nothing to sneeze at, but you deserve many more!
The lake and surrounding areas a very beautiful. That lake is huge. One of my favorite drone videos by Robert. The visual is stunning. I have to make plans to visit that area. Thanks Robert.
The pigs are here because our fall festival is the "Ham Festival." We have a local farmer that has award winning country hams, so just a way to promote it. Nice video, pretty neat to see what others think about our little town.
Watching your videos is so relaxing and they fill me with happiness. I think I have a Traveling Robert video addiction, which is really not a bad addiction to have. I like it that on these older videos you show the names of your songs
Very well done, Robert. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the Land Between the Lakes. Of course viewing the eclipse was the reason that brought you to this area and like you, I thought the eclipse was spectacular.
I second nearly every comment listed here. I have enjoyed pulling up some of these older episodes while on a summer break. It was an eye-opener to see the eclipse in this one, good job on that.. really cool. I think I did see an episode that featured the eclipse before, but now I see there is a whole series on that trip! Always appreciate being introduced to small towns, beaches, restaurants etc. all with your particular take on things. Never gets old. 2024 should be another fun eclipse adventure down south or even Mexico. If you get a chance this summer, at least for your own enjoyment, I hope you might catch the Perseid meteor showers on a time lapse, those tiny fragments of space dust can leave seconds long streaks in the night sky, and produce upwards of 60 Perseids per hour. I’ve seen more than that in years past. The peak is just around the corner. This was another fun vlog to start the day with. Looking forward to the current season bringing fresh content well into the fall… That’s a good thing! Out of all the years you’ve documented so far, 2023 will certainly be at the top. ♾️Thank you for all the hard work.♾️
This was the best video I have ever viewed on you tube!!! The views and the music blended perfectly. It was a nice touch including the church bells. Walking through antique shops are a favorite pastime of mine. The downtown bar brought back many memories. When I was a child my dad, aunts, and uncles took me with them frequently. Thanks Robert!!!
Robert you should some videos for the Fall Season and may be cover Western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Parkway & the Mountains there..should be appropriate for the season in progress.. Requesting you this.
Awesome then...Am from that area but away from work for few months. It would be great to "virtually" visit home away from home through your insights...Looking forward to it my friend. And many thanks for the quick reply and thinking alike. Good Luck & Safe Travels!!!
I live in the western part of Kentucky I also saw the Eclipse back 2017 but I is great to see it again by watching your videos thank you sharing with any one who wants to see what u have shown again thank you
Glad you made it to Patti’s. We always plan a stop there when we are in that area. They have rebuilt after a fire a few years back. Also have really good pies for dessert. It is a beautiful area there.
Hi Robert, thanks a lot for yet another marvellous video which I fully enjoyed watching just now.You are truly a guy of great talent.Greetings from William in Bruges,Belgium
Robert, you were right in my neck of the woods. I live in Louisville, Ky.....but not for long, I am planning on making a move to Florida soon, waiting on a windfall, then I am outta here.
Ah the famous "goooooood morning" at 17:10 -- must say you did see a lot! Bills and Patti's reminds me of "See Rock City" video you did. The Buffalo looking at you while eating, LOL, a classic look on your face! Gross at your paddle boat adventure, I too am not too keen on bugs, dead ones or live ones....ok..next!
A am from western Kentucky. I worked at Patty's and the park there in the LBL. Some of my family lives in Cadiz. There in Hopkinsville is Ebonite International. It is home the the biggest bowling ball and bowling ball accessories in the world. I am glad you enjoyed my Kentucky home
Thanks for all the Info and pics! We are actually moving to murray from idaho sight unseen we have never been to that area lol. Impulse decision but I'm excited
Very nice video. I plan to live this life in a few years when I retire. My wife and I plan to buy an RV and travel the USA. This looks like an absolutely beautiful peaceful place. I subscribed. Great job.
Don't forget all the spooky stories that go with the LBL. I live 15 minutes from the LBL and I know for a fact that there are some truth to some of these stories. The creepiest one is about the beast of LBL. Check it out on YT
Very nice video. We just got back from Mammoth Cave National Park. We did not have a chance to go into Paducah although, since I am a quilter, I wanted to go!
My gosh! We have traveled in the same areas! Three years ago I camped at one of the bigger campgrounds at Land Between the Lakes, a few miles from the west entrance. There is a guide map you can buy for the self-guided cemetery tour. And yeah, I accidentally got my 35 footer down one of those dirt roads. I made it down to the end, turned around, and made it back in one piece, though. I really want to go back to the area someday, it's beautiful country. Except for the mosquitos.... LOL
I lived in Cadiz ky for 11 years. Ham festival is a good time to go. Thats why they're all pig statues down town. I got married in the church you showed downtown. Cadiz Christian Church.
Traveling Robert Hello my friend Thanks for asking I still haven't been able to contact any of them only threw Facebook we found out that 3 of my family members already lost their homes and everything The had and they are running out of food in the next week ..this is very crazy it is really bad down there as you see on the news thank you Robert for your concern I really appreciated
Good job on the eclipse. I was in Oregon and we had nicer weather. But oregon was right about the traffic. After the eclipse, the main street in the town of 6000 was blocked till sunset. You got lucky, probably on the account of forecast of clouds. I had friends who moved west 600km the night before to avoid clouds so that could explain why turn out was under expectations where you were. Best of luck in 2024. Looks like Texas will be your best bet with 90% clear average weather.
@@TravelingRobert To give you an idea of where you can get the better odds of clear skies on the elipse path, look at these statistics of cloud covers month per month (scroll to the middle of the page) eclipsophile.com/global-cloud-cover/ and compare them to the elipse path: www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2024-april-8 . Being mobile is of great help, especially if you can move the day before when the forecast is accurate enough to be reliable and the roads still clear from traffic. From memory Texas had the best odds clear weather that day. The north-east the worst (at around 50%) For the record, the east part of Oregon where I was, was prepared for eclipse with porta-potties, t-shirts and extortionous rates for hotels or camp sites. I would expect the same in Texas.
So you might want to do a reconaissance trip a year or 2 in advance to find the spots where you want to setup. Keep in mind that weather (clouds) can be 500km to 1000km wide so if you want to have multiple alternatives, that's how far appart you need to think about them. The primary secret of successfull eclipse chasing is mobility, to move away from the clouds when you have a good idea of where they will be that day. That explains why eclipse cruises are usually successfull. Because it's easy to move a boat 300km the night before the event when you know where the cloud will be when you are in the middle of an uncluttered ocean. That can be harder to do on the road, but being prepared will help. Good luck.
How was the food at Patti's? I don't think you said. Lot's of campgrounds there. If you had a choice, which one would you go back to? Loved your new music. Trumpet(s). (I noticed one of them had a Harmon mute sound. Very nice. We've lived in Kentucky since 1969, and have never been to Land Between the Lakes. Might just go , now. Ted
Actually, the woodland nature reserve is pretty cool. They have animals from around the area and will even bring some up close for you to see. They even show the red wolves and how they are trying to teach people the difference between those and coyotes so they can make a comeback from extinction. So it was not lame really. Unless you don't like animals and don't care about saving them.
Drive on up to Owensboro KY and pig out at their barbecue Moonlight Barqecue ---- the best you can eat in this lifetime. Are you sure OK a couple of slices of mutton. Also if this is Key Lime Pie day. Save room for a couple of slices. Tell Moonlight I wear their button pen so send me one whole pie and some mutton too.
Just finished watching this video, just to let you know, the kitchen at Pattis caught on fire a couple of weeks ago. Was heavy damage to kitchen, but saved the building and they are planning on reopening as soon as they can. We are heading down there from Louisville in a few weeks with our new Grand Design Reflection. Love the music and your videos.
Just came up with a great idea. I'm going to make all my new music available to patrons for free. It will be a lot faster and less costly than putting it on iTunes
Wow. Kentucky is so beautiful. ❤
I used to carve gravestones for a living way back when and love to check out old cemetary's when I travel .
Oh, you're in for a treat when I upload my Charleston video in about 2 weeks

Yes, it was a great discovery for me
It’s not actually a Lake it’s just a flooded portion of the river
Robert, I enjoy your Video's. I never realized Kentucky was full of lakes. It looks so, beautiful near the lakes. ~
The pigs are here because our fall festival is the "Ham Festival." We have a local farmer that has award winning country hams, so just a way to promote it. Nice video, pretty neat to see what others think about our little town.
Thanks, good to know about the pigs. Maybe next time I'll time my visit during the fall.
Another amazing video from Robert. Sometime I find my self watching them over and over.
Thanks! We loved western Kentucky

Yes, too many campgrounds. It will be hard to choose next time. Patti's was very good by the way. The trumpet player is my friend Chuchi, he's great.
