We got the house & my aunt and grandparents chipped in on an air fryer& instant pot for us. I didn't see the need for an instant pot before your videos, but all the chicken in 20min while you do the rest of your cooking & whatever sold me. I'm a wife, mom & busy 1st year teacher with 2 more exams to pass. I need the instant pot & your videos in my life!
Edit: Thankfully egg prices are back down so this no longer applies. 🎉 Budget tip: If you are making anything with eggs that is “scrambled” it’s cheaper to get liquid egg substitute now. It’s $4 ish at Walmart and is equivalent to 18 eggs. We still enjoy regular eggs sometimes but with 5 kids this makes omelettes and scrambled eggs go MUCH farther for less.
Wow, that’s an excellent tip!!! Thank you so much for sharing 💙 This will also be a great way to make more French toast with. My daughter lives French toast
Being disabled and on a tight fixed income you have been a life saver. I am not a very good cook on my best day, but with all your help not only are we eating well but with good flavors. I am very new to you channel but I have watched every single video. I am so thankful I found you. Please know how much you are helping us all and it is greatly appreciated. 😊
Oh my goodness! You are so very kind. Thank you so very much for all of your positive feedback and I’m so happy that you were able to use my recipes and that you find them easy to make and create. I am sure it is extra difficult being disabled too, so this makes me extra happy. Thank you so very much for watching and for your loyal support💜💜
Being disabled hopefully you applied for snap / food stamps and HUD for housing 30% rent based on income and medicade ( free medical) . But you can go to multiple pantries/ food banks every month. Most pantries you can make 1000 a month for one person. Some programs like meals on wheels help disabled people too . Prayers .
These meals are not nutritious. Recommend daily fruit is 2 servings a day & 5 servings of vegetables. Not any calcium for daily requirements. Can you have $5 meals yes but should you NO. Also a bit dangerous carrying a baby while cooking.
@@darien8080 your advice is appreciated. No one plans to feed their families $5 meals continuously. Should you ever find yourself in a situation between being able to feed them nothing at all or a $5 meal, your kids will go to bed much happier on a $5 meal. You sound truly blessed. But not everyone is these days and I truly appreciate the time and effort and spirit in which this video was made.
Thank you for being here! I’m thankful for you watching and supporting my channel! Here’s five more five dollar dinners: ua-cam.com/video/QS4RaaV69vo/v-deo.html AND here 18 NEW slow cooker freezer meals: ua-cam.com/video/QF2VYcvvMrc/v-deo.html 💗
Thank you for being so conscientious regarding the price of groceries now. The inflation is absolutely outrageous! Some really good ideas here! Good core recipes that are easily customizable for your own family's taste! Thank you for your efforts Julia! P.S. One of the things I appreciate most about you is that you always use seasonings and garnish your food so I'm sure it's tasty 😋
I love listening and watching your videos It gives me a lot of peace 🕊️ with your voice and your gentle Spirit😊 And your lovely colorful Utensils in cookware And all over your positive little signs you have sitting around!
This is so appreciated right now. It's so awful to go to the store and spend $100 and have one bag if you buy meat and eggs. Eggs used to be such a great way to save money too.😳 I love how your videos are always so appropriate for what we need. These look amazing and I am definitely going to be trying them!! I love your channel so much!!!❤️
Regular grocery store half dozen almost 5.00 may as well buy the organic there for 8.00 Target 3,29 dozen. But not for long worker there said They say it's bird flu. If so why is there a ton of chicken at the store. I spent 175.00 at super target and was able to get much more for the money. I only buy meat at regular grocery thou.
This! My family consists of 5 people, 3 of which are sons (2 teenagers). We went to Walmart and Aldi last Sunday and spend $250…it’s barely enough to last the week. And I literally cook every meal.
Exactly. We've been in repeat lately. Cheap and easy dinner used to be making breakfast knowing if nothing else eggs were so inexpensive and we'd get protein. Crazy that a dozen eggs is more than lb of ground meat now.
One recipe I recently discovered and LOVE is cabbage stir fry. All it is is a quarter cabbage with shredded carrots, onion, and garlic with a lb of ground beef plus a quarter cup of soy sauce. Simple but SO good!
Oh my goodness! Thank you so very much for sharing that recipe here. That sounds so so good. I sure do appreciate you’re watching and thank you so very much for your support🙌🏼
I started meal planning as my goal this year. 95% of my recipes are from you! I’ll be adding all of these to my rotation. Your food is easy, delicious and so affordable. Thank you!❤
I am so very happy to hear that my meals are so popular in your home. Thank you so very much for sharing your positive feedback about that and I sure do appreciate you watching too💜💜
ditto! I make a monthly menu, and at least 70% are from you. Thank you. P.S. One of my friends (who hates cooking) loves your recipes. She doesn't do UA-cam, so I print out the recipes that I think she would like and mail them to her. Thank you for making your recipes easy to print. That is a great time saver!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am currently going through a really hard financial time and sometimes I need a good reminder that food can be purchased cheaper and still have incredible flavor. I have currently made 2 meals out of this video and have a third happening tomorrow and I can't wait. Thank you again for this video you're really helping keep this girl in New York going.
I am so sorry to hear that! It seems like every time I go to the grocery store it’s over $90 just for produce🥴🥴 I’m happy to hear that this video can help and I really do appreciate you watching!💜🙏
My friend calls me a "concoction" cook, because these kinds of recipes are my favorites. A mix of tasty ingredients rather than a meat, a veggie & a side. These are right up my alley & the plus is: budget friendly. 👍
That’s awesome! Good for you. That’s exactly what you have to do to use what you have and make things more budget friendly. Have a great rest of your week🙌🏼
Thank you so very much! I got used to doing a lot of crazy budgeting when my husband was in school and my baby was born and things were super tight. During that time I learned a lot about how to make a meal for almost nothing🙏
It's so comforting watching you making these delicious meals, on only $5.00 a piece!? You can't even buy a cup of foo-foo coffee for $5.00. And you're making a meal for your whole sweet family for that much. It makes me feel like everything's alright in the world watching you! And I loved seeing the girls! You are amazing Julia! Thank you! 😊
Oh, Cindy! Thank you so very much for your kind words and that really means the world to me to hear that. Thank you so much for your loyal support and thank you so much for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love all these ideas! Groceries are so expensive… I love using the real bacon pieces in recipes and fast, easy and cheap. Try cooking them for a minute or 2 in the pan before adding the sauce I swear it brings out the flavor more and my family really enjoys crispy bacon so it crisps it up a little.
Thank you for making your website so user friendly and easy to save the written recipes. So many bloggers or UA-camrs have sites that make you search further once on the site.
Well thank you so very much for your positive feedback about my recipes and my channel. That really helps me a lot! I sure do appreciate you watching and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend💜💜
Well thank you so very much! I actually learned the hard way when we had no money at all and I had a little baby. Things were tough, but I came up with some creative ways to make meals inexpensively🙌🏼 thank you so very much for your positive comment!!
Thank you so very much and I’m happy to hear that my recipes help. That is a lot of cooking for sure! Have a wonderful rest of your week and I hope you enjoy some of these recipes🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wow, I especially liked the recipe you made using the crescent roll dough... so many possibilities and variations one could do, but yours looks delicious! Isn't it outrageous how expensive groceries have gotten, especially eggs? 😱 Have a blessed week! ❤️
Thank you so very much! And yes! It has become outrageous at the grocery store. I sure hope things change sooner than later. Thank you so much for watching!🙌🏼
I tell everyone I know about your website and UA-cam channel. You're helping my household so much! Thank you for the work you're doing to share these cost-saving and tasty recipes.
Oh my goodness, Courtney! Thank you so very much for sharing my channel and my website with everyone. That really makes my day to hear that you enjoy watching my channel so much. I’m happy to hear that you were able to find recipes that you and your family can use and I sure do hope you have a wonderful rest of your week💜💜
Love your videos. I hope you get some money for all your views to help offset the cost of your family's food budget. The cost crunch is real, and it's not going away.
These videos are so helpful. It’s so disheartening to go to the grocery store right now, sometimes not even needing much, but still spending a lot. I’m also a newbie cook so these ideas are so helpful and budget friendly! I just got my ingredients today and will be cooking them this week!
I’m so very happy to hear that you were able to get the ingredients and I sure hope that these meals turn out well for you this week, Taylor! And you are so right, the prices are outrageous right now. Thank you so much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy these meals🙌🏼
Julia, you are so appreciated 🎉your recipe dishes look so tasty and I can’t wait to try them all. I have most of the ingredients in my freezer and pantry. Your little ones are so cute;) You are the mother and daughter we would all be blessed to have in our family. Thank you🙏🏻
I’m so very happy to hear, Deb that you have most of these ingredients! That is wonderful. And thank you so very much for your kind words about me and my channel. That means a lot to me to hear that🙌🏼🙌🏼
Julia these dinners look amazing. I agree about the prices it's so awful. This was a cute video. Have a super fantastic day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤
If you have an aldi or kwick trip eggs are 99 cents!🎉 yes you knocked it out of the park again Julia ❤ thanks so much my dear,,....love it!!! God blessings to your whole beautiful family!!!❤
We don’t have those stores! But thank you so much for sharing that great tip with everyone else. You are so kind and I sure do appreciate your positive comment💜💜
Another awesome set of recipes! I can’t wait to try the chicken and rice, it looks so good. And I’ve been wanting a meal recently that’s filling but not super heavy. We’ve had a lot of heavy foods over the holidays and I’m really want something that’s healthy but still feels like comfort food. That chicken and rice looks like just what I needed. And I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating- you always put so much effort into your videos and making sure to find the best deals and shortcuts to work with people’s time and budgets. There’s a lot of channels who focus so much on the flavor and don’t really consider that the average person can’t just afford all the extravagant ingredients they use. But you always look for the best bang for your buck, and never skimp on the flavor. I don’t think I’ve watch a video of yours yet where I Wasn’t excited to try at least one of your dishes. Keep it up, and I hope you and your family have a safe and healthy new year! ❤
Oh my goodness! Thank you so very much for all of that very positive feedback. That really does mean a lot to me and helps me so much with my channel. I sure do appreciate you and all of your loyal support🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you for these! I've been going through your videos and picking out some dinners to make. Not only are these budget friendly they are different from my boring regular menu😆 These look so delicious.
WOW! Just WOW on how good these look on a budget! TERRIFIC ideas, as always! Quick and easy to boot! THANK YOU again, Julia! I can always count on you to spark ideas that are tasty and easy! Add cheap on top of it, and they are all winners! Hello to all of you and blessings for a great week ahead! 😊❤
Wow back to you! Thank you so very much for all of your positive feedback and I i’m so happy to hear that you enjoy so many of my recipes. That makes my day for sure! Thank you so much for your support and I hope you have a wonderful week, Laura💜💜
In my area 12 large eggs: Aldi $4.19, Walmart $4.78 and Meijer $3.69. My Walmart pasta shelves are either fully stocked or half empty. I never know which one it's going to be.
What is it about pasta?? It’s just nuts. I think people just stock up on it and then they just can’t keep the store stocked enough. I am just not sure either🤷♀️🤷♀️ thank you so very much for sharing your prices and I hope you enjoy some of these recipes too!
You did it again, sister! Thank you for sharing these great recipes for people on a budget. We definitely have some saving goals in mind in my house for 2023.
Good for you guys, Mandy! It’s so good to have an set goals every year and when it comes to our budgets, that’s a great place to start. I sure hope you enjoy these recipes!💜
You are doing a fantastic job, Julia! I am a grandmother, single female living alone so l am long passed cooking meals for a family of four. But l know the young moms such as yourself really appreciate your money-saving low-budget meals. It is amazing how you come up with delicious $5.00 entrees. Pasta is very filling and adding vegs provide important nutrient. And sweetie you are like my oldest daughter, a huge cheese lover. If l ever get back into the dishes to cook a hot meal, l am trying one of yours with one of your quick desserts. God Bless!
We had the Spanish Rice Soup for supper tonight, with leftover cornbread on the side -- YUM!!! I used fresh onions, celery and pepper, which I already had on hand, so saved a little more cash. We also loved your Creamy Tomato Bacon Pasta, but I first sauteed onion and garlic to add to the mix and served it with a green salad. It was downright splendid. I bore easily, so am always looking for new recipes. These were certainly noteworthy.
Wow! That is awesome to hear, Kathryn. Thanks so much for sharing your positive feedback about those two recipes and I love what you added too🙌🏼 Thank you so very much for sharing that here and I sure do appreciate your positive feedback!
People who cook completely from scratch have the time & finances to do so. Rather than criticize someone who doesn’t, put yourself in their shoes. Julie has 2 small children & finding time to cook completely from scratch isn’t doable. She has little ones to take care of, diapering, bathing, clothing, feeding, washing their clothes & maybe diapers. The list can go on & on, & then take care of themselves, along with grocery shopping & all of the other things of running a household. Each person cooks the way they prefer or what works for them. My husband does the majority of our cooking because being disabled it’s hard for me to stand much more than a minute. So we use more convenience foods than we did when our kids were little, but when one spouse is doing most of the work load, it’s an easy trade off to use convenience foods when we can. Please don’t criticize UA-camrs or subscribers until you walk in their shoes. Let’s try being kind.
I love using canned chicken for cheap, fast meals. I actually mostly use my own home canned chicken because it is not as salty. But I still grab a can if I am in a hurry. I really enjoy seeing these budget friendly, easy meals. Thank you.
Everything looks so delicious and healthy! It's just terrible how prices are so high and people have to eat to survive! Thank you for taking the time to do this! You're such a blessing! Have a great week! 💕
I am so very happy to hear that these recipes looked good to you! I sure hope they help and you are so right, things are just crazy right now for everyone! I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for watching🙌🏼
@Julia Pacheco you have no idea how much you help me with my meal planning each week! I'm vertically challenged, so to speak, and your recipes are so easy and always a go to for me. My family loves them too! I really appreciate you for going the extra mile!
These are great. I've been cooking for a longgggggg time. But I still love your recipes, must be your kind, optimistic personality! My youngest is a little picky, but he watches you and picks out dinners to try. His favorite right now is smothered pork chops. ❤
Thank you so very much for that amazing compliment, Jennifer. I really do appreciate that considering how long you have been cooking and what an expert I am sure you are😉💜Thank you so much for your positive comment and I hope you have a great week!
That last pasta dish looked delicious ! I used canned chicken often when i am throwing it into a casserole or soup, its so much cheaper and my family never notices. Thanks for the tips Julie
Hi 😊 Julia thank you for sharing this budget friendly recipes all your dinners looks so delicious 😋 I'm going to enjoy making them this week. Baby Macie so adorable 👶. Julia my sweet friend have a wonderful and blessed 🙏 week.💖💐
Thank you so very much sweet Mari! You are always so kind and I’m happy to hear that these budget friendly recipes can help you and your family too. Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I hope you have a great week 💜💜
When I was younger and single, that ramen stir fry saved me! I have done many variations of the chicken and rice too. These ideas are great for times when the budget is not so tight as well!
Hi precious Macie and Brinley 🥰🥰 Thank you for taking us along to the grocery store with you and sharing the prices with us. The eggs at my local grocery store are $4.69 😯 It almost seem like they no we need it and if we continue to buy it then they’ll just keep raising the prices 🤦♀️ I’m definitely going to try these delicious recipes . Thank you so much Julia 😊
Thank you so very much, Patrice for your greeting to Macie and Brinley💜 so very sweet! And you are so right about the eggs right now, they just keep going up every week. It makes me crazy! I sure hope you enjoy these recipes and thank you so very much for your loyal support!💜
Eggs are high because avian flu has impacted poultry farmers, supply and demand always affects pricing. Locals with small flocks haven't been as impacted by the flu, but birds tend to lay fewer eggs in winter, so that affects prices as well.
I am not a cook, but I love your videos. This one is so valuable right now! Thank you for your beautiful smile and helpful recipes!!! I am going to try the stir fry!!! Haha
Thank you so very much, Nicole! And I bet you will become a very good cook! You’ve got this and I hope you enjoy that stirfry. Thank you so much for watching and for your positive comment🙌🏼🙌🏼
I struggle to find ways to make my food stretch through the whole month. Your recipes are a big help! I'm new to your channel, so I haven't tried any of them yet. But I definitely will! I'm especially anxious to try BBQ chicken sandwich! Yummy! Thanks for all your help!
Thank you for these budget friendly meals. It’s so appreciated that you do this for us. I am not great at just dumping things together but you are a pro for sure. I will be trying these.
I love all the recipe ideas! But the last one is definitely doable for my picky men. They are basic. 😂 “Meat and potato” dudes. And the egg casserole too. Keep them coming!!
Your videos are always super helpful! Thank you for taking us along with you to the store so we can see another real side of what we are all dealing with!
You are so very welcome, Jennifer! And thank you so very much for your positive feedback about that video. That really does help me and I hope you have a great week💜💜
$1.19 per plate. For a four-person family, that's 3 meals a day for the entire year. That comes out to about $100 a month per person...or $400 a month for the household. That means $4.76 per dinner, maximum. And that's just food. That's not counting all the other necessities (unless you just never plan to do laundry ever again, or wipe your butt, or brush your teeth, etc). Consider also that "healthy" food is considerably more expensive than "common" food, or particularly "junk" food. $400 per month for a family of four, just for food, minimum. For something that...ya know...humans fucking DIE without. Food isn't a corporate commodity...it's a natural resource and a human right.
The sausage links are only 3/4lb for around 30 cents more than 1lb of the tube of ground sausage costs, you can easily just pull little chunks off of the tube into a pan to create the same size pieces the links ended up being. Also you paid $4.89 for a dozen eggs at Smiths when under the 1/2dozen eggs at Walmart it showed a full dozen being $3.77, that part of the shelf looked empty but I'm sure more could've been found to the side. Feel like the egg dish could've been much cheaper and/or more food for the same price it ended up being. Also the vegetarian chicken flavored ramen was an interesting find, haven't seen that one before lol
My heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw the baby's 👶 hand ✋ reach for the pan 🍳. The baby being anywhere near the stove on the counter would freak me out. 😲😳
These look so yummy. Our family has 3 meals a week we cook at home. Every week we have at least one of your recipes to make. Thanks for the easy and quick and affordable meals.
That’s awesome to hear! I am so happy that you enjoy my meals and that your family enjoys them too! Thank you so much for sharing that with me and thanks so much for your positive feedback🙌🏼🙌🏼
I’m so happy to have egg laying chickens. With only 5 chicken I can get a minimum of at least a dozen eggs per week in the winter months and come spring and summer my healthy happy chickens will give me a minimum of 3 dozen eggs that’s a huge savings theses days.
That is a huge savings! I have been thinking about getting chickens myself lately. Things are just crazy and it would be so fun for the girls to and super important to have that responsibility🙌🏼 good for you! And I hope you have a great rest of your week!
Thank you for always doing this hard work to help us make delicious, budget friendly meals! I am grateful for the creativity it takes to make these delicious and work well for a budget! You're awesome!
I used to love knorr products until I became a label reader due to my hubby's medical conditions. Sodium levels are off the charts (as with many other things that may taste good but aren'tgood for you). So when you buy something please always read the labels so you know your giving your family nutritious AND healthy food.
Thank you so very much! That means so much to me to hear that. I appreciate your positive feedback and I am happy to have you here as one of my loyal subscribers🙌🏼
Thank you for making cooking without spending a ton seem so much less intimidating! I'm a terrible cook but some of these look great and I can't wait to try them out and give them little vegetarian tweaks. You're the best!
I know it's cheap but I personally don't feel comfortable using Walmarts products. They haven't made any promises to remove BPA or PFAS from their products which are known to cause cancer. Yes, it's cheap, but preventative care for your health could save you tens of thousands later.
Go somewhere else then. I've heard great things about Aldi. Shop around. I live in the southeast and we have Ingles where you can get advantage discounts and fuel points for money you spend being an advantage member. I also have a locally owned grocery store near me that only charges items at cost plus a 10 percent markup at the register. I don't like Wal-Mart either, but it's up to you to do your research.
Thank you so very much! With these beautiful mountains comes very cold weather in the winter! Ha ha. But it is definitely really pretty here. I hope you enjoy these recipes and thank you so much for watching🙌🏼
thank you so so much for these videos, i’ve been using different videos every week. with our mortgage payment having high interest rate, and inflation in general, feeding family has gotten so tight. thank you so much!
I am so happy to hear that you were able to find some helpful recipes. Times are tough for sure and having a high interest rate is very difficult I am sure for you and your family. I hope that you are able to get your grocery budget down and thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
8:54 to 11:26 The Chicken & wild rice casserole with broccoli! what my mom did was use real chicken if we had some in the fridge/freezer if we wanted to make this & my mom uses Rice-A-Roni rice pilaf and she doubles the recipe so that way it’s filling and we have leftovers for the next day for dinner or lunch
That would be great using that Rice-A-Roni pilaf! Thank you so very much for sharing that great idea here and I’m so happy to have you here as one of my subscribers🙌🏼
I tried the creamy tomato bacon pasta and instead of bacon I put hamburger meat and added spaghetti veggies and mushrooms ... WE LOVED IT!!! It was so easy and quick! I LOVE watching these recipes! I found you randomly and now I need to watch all your videos!
I am so very happy to hear that you enjoyed your version of this recipe, Tina! I bet that was amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing what you did and I am so happy to have you here as one of my loyal subscribers. Welcome to my UA-cam family💜💜
Hi Julia, thank you so much for these budget friendly recipes! I also wanted to say I love how you edited this one, instead of doing all the shopping and then the recipes you broke it up making it easier to see how you use the ingredients. Did not go unnoticed!
I sure do appreciate that positive feedback about how I did this video. I’m so glad you liked it! And I sure hope you enjoy these recipes. Thank you so much again for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hey Julia, how are you? Hope all is well with you and your family. I was wondering, can you please please Give me some new recipe ideas when it comes to sheet pan dinners. I think I’ve tried them all of them Lol what would you suggest? i’m not picky about food. because I’m definitely on a tight budget as well. thank you.👍👌✌️😉❣️❣️
Thank you so very much for your question! And I am not sure if you meant that you have tried all of my sheet pan meals? But if you have not, you can go to my website juliapacheco.com and you will find all of my sheet pan meals there. I sure hope this helps and thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
These recipes couldn’t come at a better time. I paid 6 dollars for a dozen of eggs 😢 might as well make something special with them. The pasta you made looks special to me. The chicken and broccoli bake will be on the menu at my house. Thank you sweetie for these money saving recipes. 💜💜💜 they all look wonderful.
You are absolutely right, Kathy. I feel like when I grab an egg out of the refrigerator I need to use two hands to carry it to the counter so it doesn’t break. Ha ha! It’s just crazy right now. I sure hope you enjoy that pasta and some of these other recipes and I sure do appreciate you watching🙌🏼
It's so discouraging, all your prices in america are basically half of what we pay up here in Canada. Your 74 cent can of black beans is 1.47 in Canada for example.
Wow this couldn't have come at a better time!! 5 dollar meals is what we need right now!! I can't wait to try them!! Thank you for sharing!! I'm enjoying your channel So much!! Keep them coming!! 😊🤗😚💕💖💗💖💕💖💗💖💗💕💕💖💗💕
I’m so very happy to hear that, Wendy! Thank you so much for being one of my loyal subscribers and for all of your positive feedback. Have a wonderful week💜💜
I see you used only one seasoning packet with 3 packs of noodles. This is great because those seasoning packets are crazy high in sodium. They average 80% of your daily sodium intake recommendation.
These look so good!! Will definitely be trying this week 😊 I dread grocery shopping now, so crazy how much everything costs. Thankfully we have 3 hens who give us fresh eggs daily, we love sharing them with family and friends. Thanks for these fantastic recipes Julia, you sure have made my life easier!
I bet you are everybody’s favorite neighbor and friend right now having those hens! Good for you guys. And I know exactly what you mean about grocery shopping. My cart has hardly anything in it and yet it costs $86 at the register when I leave. It’s just crazy right now. Thank you so much for watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
Oh my goodness! Thanks for the tips! I used to make the veggie ramen one except I boiled water, added frozen veggies, let come back to boil, and then after boiling a few minutes added ramen and let it cook till ramen is done. Then drained and seasoned. Same difference but one pot.
I learned that the stuff in the spray cans is actually not good for our health, it's like carosene or something like that. I use a spray bottle I bought off Amazon filled with olive oil instead.
That ramen dish reminds me of the dish my aunt made when I visited my grandma last June. She has the ramen, cabbage, carrots and onions. Then she added the same sauce, soy sauce water and the seasoning packet. She also added chicken but chicken is expensive now too. And also eggs went up here. A dozen for nearly $7.
That sounds great! And definitely great Adams with the cabbage, carrots and onions. Thank you so very much for your positive comment and thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼
New subscriber! I watched one of your videos last night and I made the French bread pizza and it's amazing! I'm loving your content and I told my friends and family! I cant wait to see all the recipes you come up with!
Well thank you so very much for subscribing, Kelsey!! I am so very happy to hear that you enjoyed that French bread pizzas so much and I appreciate all of your positive feedback about my channel. That makes my day! Welcome to my UA-cam family💜💜
Still being able to show us $5 dinners right now is amazing and thank you so much 😢🎉
It’s definitely a struggle! Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy these recipes🙌🏼🙌🏼
We're buying a house & will need to stay on budget. Can't wait to start making these recipes in our new house!
Such a huge blessing!! ❤
Edit: Thankfully egg prices are back down so this no longer applies. 🎉
Budget tip: If you are making anything with eggs that is “scrambled” it’s cheaper to get liquid egg substitute now. It’s $4 ish at Walmart and is equivalent to 18 eggs. We still enjoy regular eggs sometimes but with 5 kids this makes omelettes and scrambled eggs go MUCH farther for less.
that's an eggcellent idea (sorry ☺️)
Wow, that’s an excellent tip!!! Thank you so much for sharing 💙
This will also be a great way to make more French toast with. My daughter lives French toast
Thanks. I'm going to give it a go. 18 eggs at Walmart are near $8.82. This is $4.14, and reviews are good. 🙂
That is absolutely insane. I remember I'd never get those eggs because they'd be so much more expensive...
@@hardlo7146 same. I liked them for making egg muffin bites cause it was easy but hated the “high price”. Not so much anymore. Half the price!
How are disabled? Don’t see it in vids. Very talented lady is all I see. Thank you for what you do.
@@davidbarrier7026Julie isn't disabled. That's another commenter speaking about being disabled. 😊
I also love that you show shopping individually for each meal. It makes the cost and savings so much easier to visualize
I'm so glad! Thank you so very much for your positive comment and feedback. Have a wonderful rest of your week🙌🏼🙌🏼

Julia deserves way more than 600k subscribers:)

@@DominiqueGarofalo i agree with you. I really enjoy Julia. She is very kind to respond to our questions.
Little tiny hand trying to help cook! So adorable!🥰😍
This is so appreciated right now. It's so awful to go to the store and spend $100 and have one bag if you buy meat and eggs. Eggs used to be such a great way to save money too.😳 I love how your videos are always so appropriate for what we need. These look amazing and I am definitely going to be trying them!! I love your channel so much!!!❤️
Regular grocery store half dozen almost 5.00 may as well buy the organic there for 8.00
Target 3,29 dozen. But not for long worker there said
They say it's bird flu. If so why is there a ton of chicken at the store.
I spent 175.00 at super target and was able to get much more for the money. I only buy meat at regular grocery thou.
Eggs are about $4.00 a dozen where I’m from. It’s crazy!
60 count of eggs here in Denver at our Walmart is $28.68 a dozen is $4.93, it’s crazy.
Thank you so very much for sharing your positive feedback about that and I sure do appreciate you watching too💜💜
Keep eating all that processed junk food it’s healthy for you
I’m in NY too. Want to move down south lol
Thank you Julia for the budget friendly recipes. I live on a fixed income and this helps tremendously
You are so welcome! And I sure hope you enjoy these recipes🙌🏼
@@JuliaPacheco You're so right. And thanks, you as well!🙂
I agree! Plus some nights i don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen! These recipes go together quickly and my family likes them!
Aww, my mom used to make what she called concoctions
I've tried at least half a dozen of your recipes and haven't been disappointed. You keep us full with easy and delicious food!
I am so very happy to hear that! Thank you so very much for sharing your positive feedback about my recipes. And thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼
It's so kind of you to develop these cost-saving meals for your viewers ❤️
Have you seen the TheWolfePit (hope it's ok to mention another channel) he has some good recipes for lean times also
And Meals With Maria but she forgets to turn on her camera many times so some steps don't get filmed. Julia is the best!
Thank you so very much! I got used to doing a lot of crazy budgeting when my husband was in school and my baby was born and things were super tight. During that time I learned a lot about how to make a meal for almost nothing🙏
@@StamperWendy Southern frugal mama has some amazing meals for leaner times as well!

Thank you so very much, Christie for that wonderful tip! And thanks so much for watching💜
Thank you for making your website so user friendly and easy to save the written recipes. So many bloggers or UA-camrs have sites that make you search further once on the site.

Very well done, Julia. You are so gifted in home economics. Thank you for sharing these recipes with us 😋

Well thank you so very much! I actually learned the hard way when we had no money at all and I had a little baby. Things were tough, but I came up with some creative ways to make meals inexpensively🙌🏼 thank you so very much for your positive comment!!
I truly appreciate the no meat recipes. I cook 6 times a week, two meals a day and 3 days are meatless day, every week. Thank you
Thank you so very much and I’m happy to hear that my recipes help. That is a lot of cooking for sure! Have a wonderful rest of your week and I hope you enjoy some of these recipes🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi Julia, love it, thanks! I always smash up any Ramen noodles, while dry the package, it ends up being so much more versatile! =)
That’s a great tip! I never thought about that and thank you so much for watching🙌🏼

I made the pasta recipe tonight. Everyone LOVED it! Thank you for making yummy and affordable dinner ideas! 😊
I am so very happy to hear that! That is just awesome🙌🏼🙌🏼

I love that you didn’t shy away from some convenient ingredients like the frozen veg and Knorr rice ..that’s the best thing for busy schedules!
Well thank you so very much, Holly! I appreciate that🙌🏼
People who cook completely from scratch have the time & finances to do so.
Thank you.
I sometimes get Walmart brand spam and cut it and put it with either rice or pasta dish in my crock pot..
I am sure your own canned chicken is far better! Good for you. Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy these recipes💜💜

Eggs are high because avian flu has impacted poultry farmers, supply and demand always affects pricing. Locals with small flocks haven't been as impacted by the flu, but birds tend to lay fewer eggs in winter, so that affects prices as well.
With the way these prices are sky rocketing. We need these kind of videos more than ever. Thank you for sharing ❤
You are so welcome! 🙌🏼

Well it’s her child and she can do what she wants. I’m sure she wouldn’t let her children get hurt.
These look so yummy. Our family has 3 meals a week we cook at home. Every week we have at least one of your recipes to make. Thanks for the easy and quick and affordable meals.

Rich today. Poor tommorow. You never know what’s gonna happen. Take care and thank you
Absolutely, it’s super important to budget where you can! Thanks so much for watching🙌🏼
These look awesome! Thanks for taking us to the grocery store with you. It really helps. Thanks Julia!

I used to love knorr products until I became a label reader due to my hubby's medical conditions. Sodium levels are off the charts (as with many other things that may taste good but aren'tgood for you). So when you buy something please always read the labels so you know your giving your family nutritious AND healthy food.
Finally a subject that sticks to its subject. This actually looks like the advertised budget. I like no click at. I love this girl!

Thank you for making cooking without spending a ton seem so much less intimidating! I'm a terrible cook but some of these look great and I can't wait to try them out and give them little vegetarian tweaks. You're the best!
Well thank you so very much! I sure do appreciate that😀🙌🏼
I know it's cheap but I personally don't feel comfortable using Walmarts products. They haven't made any promises to remove BPA or PFAS from their products which are known to cause cancer. Yes, it's cheap, but preventative care for your health could save you tens of thousands later.
Is someone forcing you to go to Walmart?
Add spices like turmeric, that have anti cancer properties to neutralize some of the effects.
@@kathyharmon2093she is letting others know who might now know. I’m thankful for the info and will avoid Walmart now because of their comment.
Buy at sprout farmer market instead
Go somewhere else then. I've heard great things about Aldi. Shop around. I live in the southeast and we have Ingles where you can get advantage discounts and fuel points for money you spend being an advantage member. I also have a locally owned grocery store near me that only charges items at cost plus a 10 percent markup at the register. I don't like Wal-Mart either, but it's up to you to do your research.
I loved the part that you ran by in the store! So cute! I believe that we are going to make the wild rice dish!
I’m so happy to hear that, Angie! I hope you enjoy that meal🙌🏼

These are quite economical but I'm not sure of the health value using all these canned foods.
Yum!!! The stir fry and bacon in pasta looked so good. Can’t wait to try them. Your doing great considering prices and empty shelves.

I am sure it is, Angela. So sorry about that. Maybe some of these meals could help cut costs? I sure do appreciate you watching though😀

@@JuliaPacheco Thank you so much!I hope you have a Wonderful Week also!!😊🤗😚💕💖💗💖💕💗💖💕💖💗💖💕
I see you used only one seasoning packet with 3 packs of noodles. This is great because those seasoning packets are crazy high in sodium. They average 80% of your daily sodium intake recommendation.
Thank you so very much!
Love your recipes. Thanks for the frugal recipes. We really need them now!
I sure do appreciate that, Anna!! And we all need to be frugal. It doesn’t matter how much money any of us has, things have gotten crazy🥴🥴
It's very appreciated when you show these easy and economical meals! Thank you!
Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I’m so happy to hear that this video may help you🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks so much for your video, lord knows I need it.
Especially welcome during these current outrageous grocery costs...higher every time we go to the grocery store! 😳😐Thanks, Julia! ❤️😁
Every week things seem to be higher, Heather! And then there’s the pasta problem in our store! Ha ha. Anyway thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼
Oh my goodness! Thanks for the tips!
I used to make the veggie ramen one except I boiled water, added frozen veggies, let come back to boil, and then after boiling a few minutes added ramen and let it cook till ramen is done. Then drained and seasoned. Same difference but one pot.
Absolutely! A great way to come up with a new meal. Thanks so much for sharing your version too🙌🏼
I learned that the stuff in the spray cans is actually not good for our health, it's like carosene or something like that. I use a spray bottle I bought off Amazon filled with olive oil instead.
That’s a great idea to do it that way! That is a lot cheaper too. Thank you so much for watching🙌🏼
Im surprised that a lot of food in the US are packed😮
Eggs are insane! I try and go to the local farm when I can …better eggs better price!
The egg casserole looks so yummy!
That’s awesome that you have that option, Melissa! That is definitely the greatest idea🙌🏼🙌🏼
that ramen stir fry looks amazing!! i’m trying that for dinner tonight!
Hope you enjoy🙌🏼
I have a bag of stir fry veggies and I was planning on cooking it with chicken but the ramen looks so easy and quick. I think I'll do that tomorrow ☺️
That’s awesome! And I’m so happy to hear that you have all the ingredients. I hope you enjoy this recipe🙌🏼
