My elder brother bought every TD album from Phaedra on, and most offshoot solo works like Peter Baumann, Edgar Froese, Klaus Schultz's but i thought it was all a bit pretentious. He got me into all the great music and i got tickets to the Cyclone tour mainly for him but i was completely blown away by the sheer mastery of aural presence that went far beyond mere music.
6:06 Speeding, you fall from strength, but you get up anyway. It's the beauty and power of your senses. The mastery of form since forever🎇 Thank you Tangerine Dream ❤
I am glad that I was able to have discovered Tangerine Dream since the age of 12 due to my brother in law, thank you Eddie. Tangerine Dream has been a part of me since then and not to mention my wife and kids now enjoy it. 😊
I was in my early teens. Heavy metal (AC/DC etc.) was prevalent but I did not find it appealing, quite to the contrary. The sounds of the guitars and the screams of the singers made me shiver in disgust. I was searching for harmonious sounds and fell in love with the electronic soundscapes of TD music. Ricochet was one of the albums that profoundly impacted my musical taste. Part 2 is simply a MASTERPIECE.
Santi

Bought this late year 75 Had a tape copy in my car and going home from a fishing trip with a friend It's played in my car stereo as we travel through deep forrest on winding roads to get back to civilication. Still remember the magic of the pitch black forrest, only headlights luminating the roads ahed..Magic. My friend are now dead but he as well as me loved the magic TD gave us.
Matthew Litwin Yes. I’ve been listening to this piece since college back in ‘85. It still holds up. Conjures up all sorts of imagery from childhood and beyond. Most electronica (as some call it) is weak music. But this one is something special.

2:40 - 3:50 fragment was used as a background music during the presentation of the weather forecast maps in the TV Daily 1 of the Polish Television program in the first half of the 1980s. I can't pinpoint the exact years.

Thought I was so cool going in to school aged 9 listening to Stratosfear Phaedra, Rubycon and Ricochet (thank you for posting) which used to scare me s---ss whilst I read Helter Skelter, Tarantino should have used part 2 as a soundtrack to OUATIH and my four particular faves, Force Majeure, Cyclone , Logos (first heard it in Penny Lane Records Liverpool aged around 14) and Poland although there are so many great TD, Baumann, Schmoelling, and of course Edgar solo stuff that’s great too. Try Tracksuit by Loom (Schmoelling & Jerome Froese) Thank you for a wonderful contribution to my life love TD❤❤
I first heard Choronzon on Radio Merseyside, a show called Streelife. I was instantly hooked. Went out and bought Sorcerer from Probe Records then the Virgin box set from Penny Lane records. Saw them live at the Royal Court. Bought up their back catalogue but their early material bores me tbh (blasphemy I know). Still buy their new albums and caught Thorsten & Co in Manchester last November - still fabulous live.
Edgar played some grand in the larger venues, where they tend to have one already. By 1980 Johannes Schmoelling handled most/all the piano parts. Check out the _Pergamon_ / Palast der Republik record.
Like the darkness of the vid then the light fading in, bringing the music like the lonely trees to the light, anyway this TD soundscape can stand by itself
Hauntingly beautiful. I am proud to say I originally bought this album around 1975 aged 17. Still love the hypnotic vibe.

i'm moving through a dark tunnel...batteries in my light are dying...the richochets are audible...c'est la vie.
This line up..geniuses every one of them.
2:40 - 3:50 fragment was used as a background music during the presentation of the weather forecast maps in the TV Daily 1 of the Polish Television program in the first half of the 1980s. I can't pinpoint the exact years.
The soundtrack to a Guild Navigator's thoughts while folding it's heighliner path across interstellar distances.
..wonderfull...Tangerine dream...

Semplicemente meraviglioso
😊
Magical
RIP Edgar.
The opening is essential to us all.
The Golden Age of TANGERINE DREAM, with his best musical formation - Froese, Franke, Baumann...-
A TD masterpiece ❤
Incredible, man
mi sembra superfluo ogni commento, ogni volta che l ascolto mi ritrovo in un altra dimensione. Gianni Modena.
There is a world then there is Tangerine Dream
ENORME TOP ONE ALBUM FOR ME
emerse your soul in love !
the first and the best album of Tangerine Dream!
hi, you meant the 1st among the best albums?
It's the seventh album of TD!
02:40 Love this part
During the summer of 1982.Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska used to use it (from 02:40 to 03:34) as the background for daily weather forecast presented in the main news service, Dziennik Telewizyjny,, aired daily at 7:30 PM. The weather forecast was at the end of the show.
Is that a piano I hear? I always thought that Tangerine Dream was just an synthesizer group!
there are only a handful of TD's albums that don't use acoustic instruments or the sound of acoustic instruments that have been treated or sampled
Edgar played some grand in the larger venues, where they tend to have one already.
By 1980 Johannes Schmoelling handled most/all the piano parts. Check out the _Pergamon_ / Palast der Republik record.
Ta płyta to PERŁA MUZYKI!!!!!!!!!!!
Pink Floyd ok
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Was vom Herz quillt, ist immer (wahrscheinlich) echt
MAGIQUE
At 6'30 about pure ecstasy ,pure nirvana
nice ,,,, dreams ...folks ,,, WAS YOUNG THENi
Like the darkness of the vid then the light fading in, bringing the music like the lonely trees to the light, anyway this TD soundscape can stand by itself
