I just tried the free version downloaded with blender and am now going to most likely buy the paid version, this is amazing. you can basically know nothing about architecture and provide better value to homebuilders than a regular blueprint drawer lol. democratizing architecture is here and it only costs 55 USD
i have a project where the windows are 4 panels and the 2 opening panels are in the center are sliding on a rail internally, but i cant seem to get these 2 panels to sit on the inside? Is there a way to setup a custom window for this?
Hey dude, I'm having a very annoying issue with the windows and the boolean. Currently, in cycles the autoboolean isn't working and I can see the box that is used for the boolean. pls help. Ps ill give more info if you reply
How can I make a porch. My front porch comes out 700mm but it has its own roof. my best work around was to have a 2nd building at the front of the house however that wont work for any interior renders.
Using 2.4.0, is there a way to a single leaf window (so that it opens on the right side, rather than the left)? For doors there's a "right / left" option but I can't find it for windows
I draw a wall, window and door on it. They have Location: Z 0 m, but in Fromt view (key number 1) the wall base is at a lower level than door-window base level. I mean, the base of door and window is aligned on the X axis, instead the base of wall is underneath. Do you know why?
It's a limitation in the windows panels data model, but handles are standalone objects, so unless you are planning to change any property of the window, you may simply make a copy and move on local axis.
@@StephenLeger I assume you ,mean 2.3.2 ..there is no 2.2.3 only 2.09 and 2.3.2..Probably not as buggy as I suspected its just that your explanations are unclear and incomplete for example when placing doors my doors get locked to the top of the wall and there is no explanation how to get out of it, thats jsut one of the many issues..and there is no explanation ....My compliments to you and your team for the development It appears to be an excellent piece of software I can tell by the way you use it ...but seems you just assume people should know how to use your software..I would suggest if you have a Lynda account that you study how some of the tutorials are presented they are clear and concise. Effective tutorials especially for a paid software regardless of price should leave nothing to chance, speculation or confusion. The free version is so much easier and although it has far less features but its pretty self explanatory...But the pro version for me has been very dissappointing becasue i know it has powerful usage but I can't understand how to use it to achieve what I want
@@StephenLeger It just creates a new window in the origin, and I need to select it and press G and move around normally. It does not snap anywhere, and does not create holes automatically

You have to be a bit more specific how you are snapping windows/doors to the wall. Right now this thing generates me randomly, perpendicular and detached. No way I can attach that to the wall as your tutorial do. Either you are not telling something, or the plugin is very buggy.
There is a free version of archipack shipped with blender, so say thank for sharing my hard work with everyone for free instead. Archipack required 1.5 years of work, so the choice is pretty simple, have a way to make it sustainable in order to push it forward and ensure support or simply let the project die. By the way blender isn't free, dev require 100k $ / month, i've made an attempt to fund my project by the community and looks like nearly no one want to help, i guess it is easyer to sit and criticise people trying to make things happen.

hard to say like that, use support e-mail to share the file.

Not at this time

Wall base altitude is inside 0 level, so wall bottom is ground thickess above altitude 0
C'est fou ! J'essaye pareil mais rien ne fonctionne comme dans votre tuto !!! :(
Hi Stephen, Thanks! whats the best way to be able to see through the glass?
By default, glass shader has transparency enabled. You also may simply remove the glass itself as it is separated object.
For the flat 3 windows in v2.0.7, only one of the opening panes has a handle. Am I missing something or is that a bug at the moment?
It's a limitation in the windows panels data model, but handles are standalone objects, so unless you are planning to change any property of the window, you may simply make a copy and move on local axis.
I ordered Pro 2.3.3 version...very buggy ...tutorials need alot of improvement not very clear at all...explanations are incomplete

How do you get the windows to automatically make holes in your planes? For me the window just goes inside the wall
Use the "draw" tool (small pencil) beside window/door button.

No, you may use any mesh as wall, select your mesh and press custom wall in the create tab.
