Same. One more all black deck yet to show. Grixis deck, too. Then elves. Then that's all 10! I made a buddy who was robbed of his cards a Kaalia deck and mailed it to him today fully sleeved. Considered doing a showcase on it but that seemed like patting myself on the back and that's not our vibe. Either way, I'll have to make a black rats deck soon so I can eventually have Episode 11! Thanks for being on this voyage with us and honestly for being the catalyst for me making "real(ish) videos"
Three questions:
1). It’s obvious you like this deck a lot as it’s mostly bling…so $$ is not an issue. As such, where is your Chains of Mephistopheles? It’s BRUTAL in a Tergrid deck.
2). How serious are you trying to win vs play mostly play generically good cards you would want to anyways? I am leaning more towards the former because…
3). Deathcloud, Pox, Small Pox; ETB edict creatures like Plaguecrafter; Delirium Skeins, Imp’s Mischief, Basal Thrull. Almost all are low to the ground mana-cost wise & hit really hard with Tergrid.

Already have a Tergrid deck, and I'm a big fan of monoblack!
Instead of Professor Onyx, I play the 4 mana liliana with discard.
On duel commander, I play Grist, the hunger tide! (By the way, highly recommended format and deck)

How strong would you say this deck is? Im trying to build a tergrid deck and looking at multiple videos for ideas
It's powerful enough to get you targeted by everyone, and if blue is at the table, your spells will draw most of their counters

@@charohazard Yep. Jog a bit, do some stretches and lube up because that probably won't change until they realize there are other good cards. They'll get there. Have faith. Some players out there already can match your power... Just gotta find em'
I built a Tergrid deck for my wife and I love it lol. My deck is a little more budget as smokestack is my only reserved list card and my fast mana is all in another deck, but I can totally get the vibe. I'm not against playing against people with the strongest decks they've got, and I'm totally down to play against proxies, I just don't practice it myself. I thought it might be interesting to mention bolas's citadel, aetherflux reservoir, and sensei's divining top possibly with necropotence as a backup.

@@GeorgieTheMagicMan well then maybe just suggest smokestack then. It's like $10 and it's awesome because you can stack the triggers to be less bad for you and so that you get opponents creatures. Also I might suggest phyrexian altar and ashnod's altar because you can't always use your opponents creatures.
@@monomanamaniac The altars go infinite in K'rrik - BUT I have Smokestack! What card would you take out for it and why? :) Thanks. Wouldn't have even considered it had you not mentioned it!
@@GeorgieTheMagicManprobably the helm of the host because it's just win more.... but besides that I totally understand the pain point lol. It's hard to say because I totally respect the build path you took even though I didn't exactly go in the same direction. My build is more of an aristocrats sacrifice value engine.

Hi Georgie, I'm still in love with this deck but I'm looking for some budget replacement for Jeweled Lotus, Mana vault, Chrome mox and Mox amber - also because I mostly play casual / fun with my friends and we tend no to use those cards.
Do you have any suggestion? any good mana rock you would personally put in a cheaper Tergrid deck?

Thanks for the comment! For mana rocks, you're looking at 2 costers for the most part. Fellwar stone, Charcoal diamond, even the Irencrag... stuff like that can replace the pricy ramp. Look at what other decks run in your pod and go with that

Hello and thank you! I have not played Galina but I'm sure it'd make you a target, so it could be fun. You'll just need a lot of room in that deck so you can finally 'get there' -- Nobody wants you to just keep stealing all the other commanders, y'know? So, much like Tergrid, it would be an uphill battle - but could be fun if you accept 3v1 most games xD

I would love to play a Tergrid deck. My play group would never allow it. Lol
You can always hide it inside the deck and bust it out with a tutor, and run a different commander. Just not as much easy access to it that way. Honestly, it's just a creature with a nasty side effect, like all good commanders. The stronger the table, the less Tergrid seems to stand out. It's just a dank 5 dollar card, and I would never allow myself to play with people who felt the need to restrict my play. That's just me, tho. Why try to fit in when you can stand out? This is why Tergrid gains you no friends. ;) If a group wouldn't let me play this, I would definitely not play with them and look for better players. Not a dig at your group, it's just everyone seems to have a story about 'their group' and how they restrict them... and that's not for me. I get rules like 'don't go infinite every game' but other than that, there's a banned list for a reason... right? *shrugs* 1st turn Mystic Remora, early Rhystic Study, early Smothering Tithe or tricks with Dockside Extortionist blow Tergrid out of the water, and since those are allowed and popular, I don't seem to grasp people's fear of 5 dollar cards. Okay, that's a solid reply, but I didn't want to leave too many tidbits hanging. Thank you for your support :)
I would love to face down a Tergrid just for the challenge. I will put mine in my Sheoldred deck. I wish you could clone the backside somehow to get both faces. Loved this card on Arena Standard.
@@Chasmolinko LOVE IT. Don't let other people dictate what you can play. Give them an inch, they'll take a mile. It's a slippery slope. I don't get to play often, so when I play, I want it to be good cards. If some casual players that don't proxy & don't have cards want to play w/ me, they're welcome to play one of my OTHER decks and smash me to pieces with it. It's a game! Have ALL THE FUN!!!! If a group bans a 5 dollar card erroneously, that's just the beginning. What else is banned? Where does it end? How about we just act like rational adults and talk things out, and if Tergrid goes 10-0 we'll start talking about how I can't play it. Until then, let me victimize myself, target me down, do whatever makes you feel good. I'm playing Tergrid, mafakas.
@@Chasmolinkoyou could go hard mode and use magus of the coffers, staff of domination, and the backside of Tergrid to win. It's thematic too because you betray Tergrid herself then use her lantern to win.

Thank you! If you have enough demonic tutor effects & want to do it, go for it. Same for trying any style of combo. My K'rrik deck has a bunch like that all laid out so you can see some of it by the end of the video. Have fun!!!
@@GeorgieTheMagicMan actually i have only diabolic intent and grim tutor as tutors, because of budget restrictions. If i understand, in this case this combo does not worth right?
@@albertogalizzi4665 if there's enough synergy with both cards and other cards in the deck, the combo ends up not needing to happen for the deck to be effective. Try it out and see what you think.
