Mike really learned a lot from Cus, and the lessons stuck with him. It’s been over 35 years and he still fully believes what his mentor taught him about himself. It took a lot of hard miles and reflection for Mike to get to where he is today. He’s accepted that he doesn’t need to be angry or hateful to be great, and he’s a happy guy. I’m happy for him.

Agreed .There was just this thing of him ,confidence ! Ali too had great respect for Mike , Mike had the fiercest look in his eyes .and the most deadliest punches ever thrown at his opponents.
Tyson had power, but it was speed that elevated him to the level of an ATG. They say the punch that hurts you the most is the one you don’t see coming. His speed and unique combination angles made his punches very difficult to see coming. Mike knocked guys out like it was a scene from a movie. I’ve still yet to see that combination of speed and power in the HW division, and I’ve been watching since 1986, the first time I saw Tyson fight and fell in love with the sport.
I have to say I thought this man would not make it long in this world. the vids I have seen of him reveal he has grown a lot spirtiually and thinks much deeper than many would credit him with

That being said, I can't call him a national treasure, or some amazing example of a human being because his past is still part of him and his life, but he has also come a long way and seems like he has finally found some peace and is trying to give back to people, so I commend that and don't consider him a bad person because of some of the horrible things he did in his past
When an interviewer asks mike the right questions you get really good and educational conversations.
I love these clips of him talking. I watch them over and over and seem to pick up something more out of it everytime. A huge talent to be so articulate and speak in a philosophical way off the cuff.
That psychologically and physiologically in principle and it then became professed.
I love how Mike immediately turns into a kid when talking about his childhood heroes..
RIP Cus you can tell how much love and admiration Mike has for him every-time he talks about him
Mike is next level now. He’s so profound 👊💯
For sure. Can't get him to exalt himself now
Seriously, Mike has always had real wisdom. But it’s getting even better!
Right?!
Yes!
Tyson hit the bulls-eye. He swung faster than the other guys as far as hard hitters including Foreman, Liston and Lyle.
Mike's a really Smart guy and a True
Warrior....GOD BLESS YOU Mike..
Greatest character arc in history. 👑
He credits Ayahuasca
Zuko just entered the building
By character arc are you talking about foreman?
@@linemen71 no I'm talking about Mike.
@@inobi30 then you’re wrong lol
Literally, the most insightful 1 minute video on Mike Tyson I have ever heard! Truth.
I love listening to Mike talk. His words have that OG weight to them now. A lot of respect for who he has become.
Exactly 💯
The man has become wiser through the years...
I'm really glad I got to see Mike survive everything in life and make it to a point where he can share all his wisdom
Illicit not instil. This man and his quick mind. Always a cherished opportunity to hear this man speak humbly about others. Great vid quick interview as well.
Right. Bring out. Not put in. 🔥
He said elicit not illicit
@@jayoneokc you’re absolutely correct. They sound the same with complete opposite meaning. You’re correct.
Elicit fool
They way you say it means illegal
There is such clarity in his thought when it comes to boxing and he’s able to articulate it with brevity and wisdom 👍🏼
George & Mike are prime example of humble yet Extremely Dangerous.🙏🏽
Extremely 😂😂😂 …well said!
Still giving love & respect to his teacher...Respect!!!
tyson turned into such an honorable and respectful person its nice to see
Mastering a craft takes practice, dedication, commitment, sweat and blood. Spoken like a true master.
It's so nice to see someone speak with confidence, insight, and their attention fully in the conversation.
He’s so much more intelligent than people give him credit for.
Thank you for having the intelligence to understand that now.👍👍👍👍
😂😂😂😂
Cus must've seen this side of Mike from before but it's only now is the time we are seeing this side of him.
He knows everything about boxing history also
This guy is so full of wisdom. We're lucky to still have him around so treasure him while you can. Not idolize the man, just grasping and absorbing what he has to share is special.
Mike Tyson, always admits that his early fights came from fear and pain. His interviews (and advice) are so humble, raw, and truthful, I cannot help but feel admiration for the man. ✊🏽🙏🏽
You cant do nothing but love Mike
Facts
Idk given the correct context I’d fear him as well
Even his rape case?
@@WD1980WD hell yeah tear tha pussy up
I know everything I need to know about you then, good luck
Man how humble is Mike and how articulate
That answer there was graceful
I just love how genuine Mike is and how thoughtful he is when he speaks
Mike is so humble now. Awesome through and through
He always was. They attacked him for clout because he was really famous.
That’s what magic mushrooms 🍄 do no more ego
@@CJ-eb2ntyou mean the toad. Mushrooms just tickle the brain while it's waiting for salvia or the toad again.
@Total Tuxedo what's the toad?
The best words to speak from that humble of a person
Mike really learned a lot from Cus, and the lessons stuck with him. It’s been over 35 years and he still fully believes what his mentor taught him about himself.
It took a lot of hard miles and reflection for Mike to get to where he is today. He’s accepted that he doesn’t need to be angry or hateful to be great, and he’s a happy guy.
I’m happy for him.
I love Mike's honesty in describing how much hard work and great coaching finds the greatness in you.
Mike never disappoints in each clip he drops one gold dust of advice.
not only fast and explosive, but also perfect technique and a master in setting up the knockout punch with knowledge of a whole 'database' of deadly combinations
We're all born with it... that's why we all need a coach, a mentor, someone you respect and look up to
Mike is adding to his legend with that damn humility. A true redemption story. The truth is he probably always had that heart but the anger caused by his life circumstances fucked him up. He’s learned to live with it and knows that self and ego can be dangerous. I got nothing but love for this man.
I could listen to Mike talk boxing forever.
me too, well that's actually what I do right now, watch classic boxing and Iron Mike videos all day🤷🏾♂️
Mike studied all the greats like Dempsey, Duran etc ...he actually has tons of knowledge.
Mike is so smart. He literally has an above average vocabulary (he has a lisp, but still).
Love the man.
Just a spring of insight and deeply clever observations. Very humble
Mike is really a good teacher.
Mike Tyson is one of the most underrated in intelligence. Feared? Definitely, but his obvious logic shows why he was the most feared heavy weight ever!
Agreed .There was just this thing of him ,confidence ! Ali too had great respect for Mike , Mike had the fiercest look in his eyes .and the most deadliest punches ever thrown at his opponents.
Love to see him complete the circle. Coach Em up Mike!!!
For a man who has sustained so many punches to the head he is still so intelligent and so honest and so humble.a true legend!!🥊❤
Tbh Mike didn't take a lot of punishment....headshots and such
He didn't get hit that much
he was knocking out soo many boxers early in his career that he didn’t have to go the full 12 rounds 😂😂 atleast he sounds better than the Diaz bros 😂😂
Good defense, head movement and numerous 2nd round knockouts
That will be the herb my friend 🤌🤌 man is enlightened
The humility he exhibits is admirable
Mike tyson talking about his trainer is really wholesome 😊
I think he wears new balance
@@stevenking8884I see what you did there. 😂😂😂
His trainer /mentor Cus D'Amato was his father figure too. Mike says that all the time.
I have to say I thought this man would not make it long in this world. the vids I have seen of him reveal he has grown a lot spirtiually and thinks much deeper than many would credit him with
White man always has ulterior motives… just saying Mike
To think people thought Mike was crazy ! He is certainly an intellectual man 💯
Oh he’s crazy too, crazy and wise
I really do appreciate mike… :’(
The thing I like most hearing Tyson talk about pretty much anything is his honesty. He is very plain spoken, and seems to be legit honest about everything he is discussing, whether it’s fighting, life, or himself.
He is always so sincere and willing to help
How can you not like him... he's still so humble didn't even hesitate to say foreman was a heavier hitter... even If he wasn't one of the best just that character alone is something to admire
You just HAVE to love Mike Tyson. One of the greatest ever also one of the most humble. It’s my dream to meet this legend someday.
Straight Up Mike Tyson (Love him, or Hate Him) has reached "Philosopher Status" now.
I love the way Mike talks.. so much humility and always giving credit where it’s due 💯🙏🏾
That’s true what Mike said about self-determination. A coach helps you to blossom whatever naturally is in you. They teach you how to harness and channel that burning desire. Absolutely.
I love how Tyson has come full circle❤
