Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (13.08.2024)

- A day at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway on the orange timetable travelling on both steam and diesel starting my journey at Keighley with stops at Oxenhope, Haworth and Ingrow with a look around their museums and sheds. Footage was captured on Tuesday 13th August 2024.
Another lovely video of a truly great heritage railway. It’s wonderful to see how different the heritage railways are from the everyday railway.
At the Epping Ongar Railway, I fulfilled two roles. The first one I took on was going up and down the train with a black bag collecting the litter. The second was being an effective platform porter who was able to keep the trains tidy occasionally.
Having helped the Epping Ongar Railway team to become one of the most friendly heritage railway groups there is, I understand the difference between heritage and modernity. Of course, the heritage railway is smaller, more friendly and has more time for both the working volunteers and those who just love heritage trains.
Hi Tony another Great railway by the looks of it we've passed by it but never been to it. Nice scenery typical Yorkshire stone buildings. Them engines have to work hard pulling up that hill out of Keighley. Just had a look at the ratty webcam the little shunting engine Cyril is bringing the coaches out for another busy day. It's quite warm again today.

@@DamiensTrainsandTravels Yeah it’s very good! I’ve been quite a few times now over the last 4 years. First went to the KWVR during covid when places were starting to open up again
@@tonywinward Been a couple of times, but first time was before UA-cam. Then I went in 2022 that video is on UA-cam about 21 years after first time went. It's quite far away from Wellingborough 😆🚂 need to go again.
